"A...snowball fight? Alright, fine...just don't come crying to me when you're soaked to the core, and freezing cold...come on Yuki!" Here's Nari! // Team A!

The two shared their own ideals, experiences and thoughts. Nari listened quietly to each, noticing the difference in how they all approached their new reality - head-on, hesitantly, in the shadows of another. Each of them had their own way about it, their own considerations as to what needed to be done, and how they were going to do it. She had no idea if any of them were right, but there was one thing she knew for sure..."So long as we continue together, we'll be alright." The words spoken aloud felt more promising, somehow. A confidence behind them that Nari wasn't even sure she believe

It was almost too easy, sometimes. As the four before her began to move again, Nari let herself slide off to the side, ducking and dodging under a few harmlessly thrown attacks. The movements of the NPCs left no signs of the stunned effect in place mere moments ago, but Nari had been expecting the reactions, giving her the advantage as she moved out of their way and parried a single attack. She'd become accustomed to this sort of combat, relying on the effects was a good way to get oneself killed around here - something she'd prefer not to ever fall for, given the chance. Need to finish -

"What do you mean it's not the first...you know what, nevermind. I don't think I even want to know..." Her eyes shifted over the mass of warriors that seemed to taunt them from the distance. At the moment, they hadn't made any movements to come closer - not that Nari was relying on their good faith in such a situation. For now, it seemed like they were- "Perhaps we should consider formulating our defences?" Nari's thoughts were interrupted by the elderly NPC once again. She glanced over at @Jomei, her left eyebrow raised as she tried to silently question the man. She had no idea what defe -
Nari wasn't slow by any means, especially without her heavy armour holding her down. Still, running in the snow, and the general height advantage that Jomei had meant that her attempt at beating him back to town was over before it had even begun. Not that she was upset about it - instead, she found herself laughing aloud as she managed to pass the edge of the town just mere steps behind Jomei. "Man...if I had...legs like yours...I would be unstoppable...or at least a bit faster..." Between gasping for breath, and trying to fight against her laughter, her words came out in broken gaps. Ta

Nari's head cocked slightly to the left as the green-haired woman pulled them to a complete stop, before disappearing into the blacksmith they had been passing. A few seconds went by, the two remaining in an uncomfortable silence as they waited, before Nari decided to say something - hoping to break the awkward air that seemed to hover over them. "Well, this was unexpected. I didn't think we'd be make stops for snacks on the way, otherwise I would've placed an order as well..." She grinned in the hopes that her joke would be understood by the other. Sometimes her comments seemed to go abo

Nari didn't hesitate. She moved through the open areas, her scythe swinging behind her as she rushed upon the small group, spinning as she came closer to them. Three had their backs to her, the one that was facing her either blinded by the light, or simply not registering what it was seeing coming towards it. Either way, she caught the group by surprise, her scythe slamming into two of them before she had to bring it up and around into the third. A quick jab with the blade caught the fourth, and Nari found herself backing off as the group of them seemed to freeze in place, the stun effect hold -

"Deal. Next time you disappear I'll show up at your house and knock until I break the door down, or you come out." She grinned broadly at Jomei, wondering if the man would catch the humour in her eyes. She doubted that doing either would work, if he truly wanted to ignore her, especially in this game. That said, it wouldn't stop her from trying if it ever came to it - she wasn't about to lose the one person whom she had managed to find again. Not now... "Yeah, maybe there's a quest follow-up in the town itself that we could tag onto. I'm sure it doesn't end here...although it would be nic -
Nari had barely gotten her mind wrapped around the fact that she wasn't immediately being turned away, when another voice spoke out from beside her. Purple hair, cut short and eyes that seemed to carry a careful combination of enthusiasm and hesitation. The girl certainly seemed far more outgoing than Nari was, and from the limited interaction she'd just had, the girl who'd named herself as Avoryn- "Oh! Shit! I'm Nari! Nari-Lanreth! It's a pleasure to meet you!" The words flowed from her suddenly as she realised the other had introduced themselves, and Nari had simply stared at them, smi

She kept her gaze on the body in the snow even as she spoke. It was odd, seeing the form of a deceased individual in Aincrad - not something that occurred often, when generally things 'died' and disappeared. Shards of glittering nothing, that slowly faded into non-existence, as if it was never important to begin with. Just like many people we once knew...gone to the memories of time slowly disappearing along with them... She shook her head to clear the thoughts. She'd had enough of those dark ideals, those thoughts that kept her wondering what the point of it all was. It was so easy just -

She'd called out, and he'd appeared. There as if he'd always been, as if there hadn't been a gap in their time together. Placing himself in the path of the strike that was meant for her. She'd almost felt herself scream out - but the strike had gone wide, either through luck or through Jomei's naturally fast movements. He was used to this style of combat, something entirely contrary to how Nari had always gone through Aincrad previously. As Jomei managed to withstand the assault of the man, Nari found herself moving once more. Forcing herself to her feet, and bringing herself to bear down -

Jomei had reacted right after Nari had struck, either her reacting to her call or simply realising that danger that had presented itself. Either way, the two of them had moved in a way that Nari hadn't felt in a long, long time. Too long, if she was being honest. It felt good to return to the motions of conflict and combat, to test her speed, her skill, her capabilities against another. Careful...keep your mind focused on the fight before you, lest you get pulled away and make a mistake. She spun her scythe around, bringing it behind her own body and allowing it to rest for a brief moment -

Nari nodded in response to the man's suggestion. Reaching out to her own people...she wasn't even sure who that would be, at this point. So many had disappeared - would they even respond to her? Well, there's only one way to find out... Shrugging off the concern, she simply agreed to the concept. "Alright, I'll reach out and see who I can get a hold of...hopefully someone answers. Her eyes were drawn away from the man as he seemed to peer into the darkness. She could see, hovering in the distance, the ghostly figures that always seemed drawn to anyone who remained around for too long. The -
Nari had just begun to pass through the main courtyard, when she heard a familiar voice. Not one of a player, but rather a voice that she had heard many weeks ago, when she had finally broken out of her own restrictive nature. A voice that brought up memories that were embarrassing, sweet, and a little bit...well, more than embarrassing. A face flashed before her eyes as she considered the awkward encounter, and the outcome of the whole thing - a face that had been etched into her memory. For a brief moment, Nari found herself unconsciously striding across the walkway, half expecting to

Jomei's words about the performer profession - or his view on how it wasn't a profession, had certainly caught Nari off guard. She found herself glancing off to the side, trying to find a response to the words, as they approached the small encampment. It wasn't that she viewed it as a job - no more than anything else that they did in Aincrad. Blacksmithing, her first profession, had been something that she had picked up due to her love of the art, as was her stint in performing musical expressions. Still, in her mind it was a profession - something that was done with a purpose, but bearable du -

Nari had come to a stop, Yuki at her feet staring into the darkness at the edge of the corner that seemed to dance and waver. They had come up to the corner with the intent of carrying onwards without issue, but the sound of voices had brought them to a stop. Slowly, Nari had begun to notice the way the darkness seemed to dance - indicating that light ahead was breaking the otherwise normal coverings around her. She had been unable to determine how many voices were up ahead, and had paused as she considered her options. She could always rush in, force them to bunch up and attempt to take -

The tunnels provided relief from the heats above. Something that Yuki was clearly more than happy about, and which Nari found herself enjoying, in a way as well. Her forgoing of heavier armour had definitely made the heat more bearable, but she still found the warmer temperatures less than appealing. Yuki, more so, seemed to dread wandering the ninth floor's heat. Something that Nari felt bad for forcing the small fox through to begin with. The tunnels, however, carried a cooler degree with them, allowing the two to find a minor amount of reprieve from the blistering heats that covered the mai -

She didn't want to call it easy, but as the last of them burst into pieces, Nari couldn't help but wonder if it was easy. Too easy, in some ways. There had been four of them - enough that she would've been overwhelmed in days past, when she was having just started out. Now, though, it was like walking through a park that had obstacles. Tedious, repetitive, but not overly dangerous by any means. Which wasn't to say that it was any less or more enjoyable, but it certainly brought about a certain perspective for her, when she considered it... "As if making it more or less difficult makes thi -

"Plenty of scenes...far too many, if you ask me." There was no bitterness to the words, but Nari's face had darkened ever so slightly in response to the thought. She had spent far too long on this floor, considering the implications of...well, everything. "You're right though. We're here now, even if others are...being lazy. Let's make the most of it." She tried to force the smile, hoping it didn't come out looking like some sort of horror genre grimace, but figuring it likely did. The joke was barely something that she could consider a joke, after all. Poor attempts at humour for those w
