  1. "Me a prince?" Wulfrin chuckled. "No unfortunately I don't think I'm worthy of such a title. Definitely not charming either. I'm pretty sure Charisma is a dump stat for me." Wulfrin cast his line back into the river and watched as the bobber gently rocked on the lazy waves. He kept looking around the area for any threats that may approach them. Content they were still being left alone, he lay back down on the river bank and stared longingly at the floor above. "Then again," He said as he shrugged. "I never was a big romance guy to begin with. I prefer epic fantasy adventures, and whi
  2. "Give it a bit," Wulfrin said as he pat Ciela's armored shoulder. "If you can't damage him stack up some effects like stun, delay, or even shatter." Wulfrin drew his blade and made a run at Ugzeke. To prove a point, he slammed the pommel of his blade into the back of the troll's head. The giant staggered and stumbled. Wulfrin mainly was doing it as a precaution. He knew Ugzeke would likely ignore their little party, but there was the slimmest chance their attacks would not go unnoticed. That and Freyd could chunk the beasty's hit points, at least in theory anyway. Wulfrin landed back on t
  3. Wulfrin caught the slight glance from Morningstar. Wulfrin had set up for his massive single target strike, but then pivoted to a stance that allowed for a lesser art to be used. If the phoenix was going to keep respawning this quick, energy consumption was the name of the game. With pin-point accuracy, Wulfrin unleashed a massive upward slash that left an even larger wound behind it than his last strike had. The phoenix turned to ash. Instinctively Wulfrin turned away as the flaming sprang back to life with a torrential inferno. Wulfrin regrouped with his companions. As he watched the Ph
  4. "It's definitely seen better days," Wulfrin said as he went to work on Dying Sun. "You've put some serious miles on it." Wulfrin slaved away over Morningstar's blade, arguably more so than his own. He took pride in the work he did for others, his little way of giving back to all those who had helped him get as far as he had. Once the last of the slime and corrosion had been removed from the blade, Wulfrin returned it to Morningstar. "You should probably take the time to get your gear looked at now and again." He said with a smirk. "Our weapons here are what vehicles are to us in the
  5. Having received a message from Riardon that his store was established, Wulfrin made his way up to floor 28. He wasn't surprised by the choice of location. Had Wulfrin not fallen in love with the lake side aesthetic that was Floor 22, he may have chosen to settle here as well. Wulfrin had done just as he promised and emptied his inventory of all his unidentified items, a generous gift for the upstart appraiser. "Here we are," Wulfrin said as he hefted the sack onto the table. "A nice selection of unidentified goods to get you started. I'll bring by more as I find them." * * * Wul
  6. Hearing the voices, Wulfrin quickly swiped the rolled parchment before maneuvering outside the tent. He had to hope it contained the info he came for, otherwise it would likely be a fight for the chest. With swiftness Wulfrin ducked out of the tent and began making his way to the tree line. As he faded into the shadows of cover, He found a high vantage point in the canopy to watch the camp. Solaris rest on the branch just above him, still poised to strike. He had triggered the alarm twice now and narrowly escaped both times. His luck would definitely not hold out for a third. Carefully he bega
  7. "No arguments from me," Wulfrin said as he found a relatively clean place to sit for a moment. "My stamina was running pretty low, so a rest would be extremely welcome." Wulfrin sat with his blade across his lap. With a few swipes of his inventory menus, he retrieved a small leather bag of sorts. Inside he kept his "go-bag", a collection of simple tools, oils, and other useful things for maintaining his gear in the field. While durability wasn't actually a problem in SAO, he found it added to the realism just a bit more. It also helped him pass a time a bit quicker with a project to work
  8. Wulfrin watched Hogo-Sha make his way to the center of the camp. He was running out of time as the shadows were beginning to dissipate more and more as the hours progressed. Wulfrin's focus was now being split between the tent, which he presumed held the actual information he sought, and Hogo-Sha, an adversary that was most likely to be the biggest threat here. He was only a mere feet from the tent Hogo-Sha had vacated, hidden behind a handful of crates. A quick inspection of the tree line revealed Solaris ready to strike, even his familiar was becoming antsy. Wulfrin was confident he cou
  9. Wulfrin stumbled into Pandora’s Wares out of sheer curiosity. He perused the shelves of various trinkets and oddities until he came to an item left alone to the side with a small tag saying “looking for a good home”. Wilkie. Tapped the item’s surface to pull up its info panel. To his surprise it had Paralysis Immunity, an enhancement he was looking for to help bolster his combat prowess. He picked up the item and walked to the shop keep. ”If you don’t mind,” Wulfrin said as he showed the small tag. “I’ll be willing to take this off your hands.” A simple dismissive nod was all he coul
  10. Keep cool. Throw him off. "Wouldn't you want someone unaffiliated with a target to act as your eyes and ears if you failed at a job like this?" Wulfrin said trying his best not to step too far out of line. "It's my job to move unnoticed even by you lot. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a job to do." Having dropped his singular line of dialogue, Wulfrin moved passed the guard towards one of the tents that seemed to be some kind of item storage. Using his armor to his advantage Wulfrin ducked into the shadows behind some crates and waited for his metaphorical threat level to fade away
  11. Jumpy little bugger ain't he? Wulfrin eyed the assertive Hogo-Sha, the first target acquired. Intently he watched from his cover, sticking to the shadows of the camp. The closer Wulfrin got to the camp, the more daunting of a task this was seeming to become. There would be way less cover once he left the tree line, but he had no choice. He pulled the cowl further up in an attempt to obscure as many of his features that he could. He would lean into his more sinister appearance, his not looking too dissimilar from some of the other mercs running walking through the camp. Play it cool.
  12. "Understood," Wulfrin said as he leapt from the boat onto land. "I'll keep your advice in mind. Also if it helps you can look for the bird, he'll be my eyes in the sky, so if you can see him, I'm not far behind." Wulfrin watched the boat retreat from the shore. There was tension in the air and he would prefer not to have any innocents caught in the line of fire should things go wrong. Once the captain had sailed off to a safe distance, Wulfrin pulled up the cowl on his Fallen Angel Garb and began to make his way into the dense foliage. He was grateful for the armor he had been given, its
  13. "It's a nice place," Wulfrin said as he set to work changing the sails to catch optimal wind. "This trip was supposed to just be a shopping trip, but it seems plans have changed." While yes, Wulfrin had some experience with sailing, it was very rudimentary. Mainly it came from the brief time he spent earning a merit badge for sailing in his scouting groups when he was younger. As it turns out, that's all Cardinal needed in order to prove proficiency. The plus side, his body was virtual. This meant his usual strife of sea sickness had little effect on him. With sails set, Wulfrin pulled ou
  14. "Please," Wulfrin said holding up a hand. "No need for titles. Wulfrin is fine." Wulfrin's eyes scanned the room thoroughly. Failed assassination tempts rarely just fade into obscurity. To him anyone in the room could be a possible hostile waiting for him to leave the room. Hopefully the Chief here was smart enough to remove all the guards in association with this Uso-Tsuki. Wulfrin took a seat in one of the vacant chairs and continued listening to the problem laid out before him. "I can look into this Uso-Tsuki," Wulfrin affirmed his choice to accept the quest. "I would like to make
  15. The change of tone from the Captain initially shocked Wulfrin. Up until this specific interaction, he had gotten stopped multiple times during his trip through the Marsonian streets. He wasn't very surprised considering his current attire. His travel leathers were charcoal black as was the long weather proof coat. He had the cowl up hoping to draw as little attention as possible, but that probably only added to the suspicions. His blade Icingdeath created a trail of frost vapors around him as its frigid cold blade rest peacefully in its black sheath. To the average eye, one would think he woul
  16. "Truthfully I wasn't planning to match with anyone," Wulfrin said with a sigh. "It is good to see everyone again though." Wulfrin continued to sit with his feet hanging off the dock as the conversations happened around him. He was excited to see this crew come together in an odd set of circumstances. Sure they had planned to be here for this tournament, but he didn't think they would all have matching uniforms. He had done some research before coming out here though, supposedly this salamander was located in the mountains nearby and was supposed to be some kind of special bait for somethi
  17. “Yup,” Wulfrin said with a stretch, a pair of bronze knuckle dusters in the shape of a phoenix on each hand. “Name’s Wulfrin and I’ll be your tour guide on this little field trip. You’ve already met our eye in the sky, Solaris.” Wulfrin gestured to the bird then pointed up towards the peak of one of the nearby mountains. Near where he pointed, a small training temple could be faintly seen in the morning light, only able to be spotted by the fire light produced by its lanterns. “That’s our destination,” He said as he started passing out party invites. “Stay close and do as I say. The
  18. Wulfrin stretched as he stepped off the teleport gate in the city of Urbus on floor 2. This had become his new hangout spot as of late. Between the boss rushes and his other preparations for the frontlines, Wulfrin had been using the influx of new players as additional training for himself. While most of the frontliners focused on high exp yeilds to give the newcomers a boost, Wulfrin had a more practical regimen for them. HE had done this quest multiple times at this point, so it was becoming second nature to him, even if he never seemed to make any progress. He approached his favorite bench,
  19. Wulfrin was sitting on his small dock overlooking his fishing pond. The orders being placed at his shop had slowed down considerably, and he found himself more and more just wanting to enjoy the moments he had in the floating castle. After having spent the last several days getting ready for the raid, he was just looking for the chance to relax. *Ping* A message hit his inbox. Wulfrin quickly scanned the contents once he saw who had sent it. Then he glanced at the names. A shiver ran down his spine when he took note of one of the names, Raidou. He had told Ciela of his recent adventure wi
  20. "Yeah it was very fortunate," He said as he watched the river with intent. "On the Scanners topic though, its a movie that I haven't seen in a while, but the scene I'm talking about was the first thing I thought about when the GM spoke about frying our noggins. Usually when I make a refrence like that, I'd pull up the clip, but it's A. quite a morbid considering our situation and B. I'm like 90% sure we cant access the external internet in games. It's a shame really I could really use a good movie right about now." Wulfrin's bobber drifted on the rivers waves, being jostled by even the sl
  21. Wulfrin listened to the plan intently. There was quite the shopping list and all of the bosses talked about Wulfrin had never seen let alone fought before, so needless to say he felt a little overwhelmed. He was sure it was plastered all over his face as well. Then he heard the screech of the Phoenix spawning and Hirru's call to action. His blade leveled towards the phoenix, he rushed forward and landed a well placed strike right into the beast's gizzard. The gash he left behind seemed to be deep enough that even a phoenix's healing factor couldn't stop the bleed, a sign he had hit a vital spo
  22. "Good for the moment," Wulfrin replied to Raidou's check in. A burst of energy surged though his virtual form once again, except this time it wasn't just his sword that shined with light. His energy was creeping down to the halfway mark before surging back with new life. "I think I can hold out, but I'm working with a smaller reserve compared to the rest of the group. I'll definitely need a recharge when we're done, but for now I think I can manage." Freyd and Morningstar both charged forward, pressing the parties already strong advantage over the enemy forces. Freyd left comical holes in
  23. Wulfrin gave up trying to enter combat when Freyd stepped up to face the humanoid angler. The Fossil Fish's fate was sealed as Freyd simply bopped the monster on the head. Wulfrin shrugged and cast his line back into the lake. He watched intently for any movement in the bobber, which considering the monsters lurking in its depths, was rather calm. The bobber sank beneath the surface a handful of moments later, a tremendous force pulling it down. Wulfrin once again was doing his own miniature combat with his catch, attempting to tire it out enough to bring ashore. With another heave he managed
  24. A perfect opening was created for Wulfrin to charge in. With a sweeping upwards slash Wulfrin cleaved through the remaining slime causing it to scatter against the ceiling. Dying Sun clattered against the ceiling following the monster's deconstruction. With precision Wulfrin caught the blade on its decent with his open hand. For a brief moment he stood holding both blades before flicking Dying Sun clean of ooze and tossing Morningstar back his blade. Both blades would need a nice polish after they were done, but there should be no lasting damage by Wulfrin's best guesstimate. "Obi wan wou
  25. "They are indeed," Wulfrin said as he mirrored the bow in respect. "I've been on the Monkey quest. If you want the Shatter Sword Art, you'll want to keep the ape from killing the NPC accompanying you. As for the equipment, I'm sure Freyd can hook you up and will get you top of the line stuff. However if you ever need something extra don't be afraid to darken my door on Floor 22. I'm a blacksmith in my free time." With a firm handshake the two broke off going their separate ways. Wulfrin realized he had left town with another player. For some reason they never made it up the mountain with
