CC replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
The girls seemed to be holding some sort of conversation yet listening to the music still. It was encouraging to actually have a real audience other then her own isolation to play to. The vibrations of the strings, the hum that came from the body of her guitar against her stomach. It was welcoming, it was home. Who this pair was would remain a mystery, and once her concert would end it may remain that way. Even still an unspoken appreciation for the company as the track ends. Beads of sweat had her skin gleam against the color bleeding from the prisms now absent of melody. To her pockets she p -

Miki replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
Miki was speechless, without saying anything about her past she knew it all. Another thing that made no sense is that this kid could hear her cry, but she had never seen this girl around before. This was the first time. Her mother believed in a higher power, not god but something else. It was too hard to explain but her mother would always tell her that the circle of life would keep them together forever. Miki had to believe that this was fate, how else would this girl know what she did. "I only have one question then, is the pain she felt gone." Miki knew that her mother hid that pain from he - Today

Shiina replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
As the music continues to play from CC, having welcomed her now party of two to enjoy the concert in the middle of nowhere, Shiina continues to clap between songs. The comment from Miki has her cackle like a loon. "If I told you I heard it in a song, would you believe me?" A wide grin with her eyes close, oozing enthusiasm and honesty. "Or was it more like a dream? Don't really know, and I don't get hung up on the specifics." Shiina extrudes as she rocks back and forth to the tune of the music. "Is hard to explain, but I could actually hear you crying you dork. But its tempo kept in time with -

Lium replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
Sitting against the broken tree, he would wipe his lip with his sleeve. Taking off his jacket and tossing it to the side. He wasn't surprised that this woman knew what seemed like everything he was confused. Did Sam say something more than she could of, she promised that she wouldn't. "Yea and she almost got herself killed because of it" he would rush toward her, if it was sparing that she wanted then fine. Throwing a punch her way, she would block it. That speed of hers what amazing. Next thing he knew there was a kick to his chest, to his stomach and a roundhouse to his head causing him to t -

Nisahime replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
The woman turns to stare down the rather plain looking kid, as one of her many pets come raging off his arm and slithering up her pant leg. "Isn't that interesting. Sam still digging into things that are none of her business, bet there's more then a few that have a bone to pick with her." An aloof statement with underlying meaning unspoken, given the repeating outrage that rung through her head. "I assume Lium that she wanted you to see me to have a heart to heart." Holding out her hand and allowing the gecko to nestle itself in her palm, an old master had came to roost and now it had returned -

Lanna replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
"OH uh okay" Lanna says as the woman offers Lanna the opportunity to walk the female back to the plaza. "Not sure what the plaza is or where it's located but sure I'll come with you. Maybe Freya will be there." They would start walking through the cold muddy lands. This was like an adventure that she never wanted. To be honest she was looking for Freya and a tailor. One or the other had to know about the shop thing right? For some reason the woman was walking behind her, trust issues maybe? That wasn't exactly new for Lanna. Freya had told her several of times that she was a dumb blonde and ri -

Kasumi replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
A simple passing greeting had quickly transitioned into a full blown conversation, topped with a 'let me help you out' cherry. Kasumi wasn't used to a player so eager to help out a stranger, at least so far removed from a quest board or the like. Normally people looking for groups would gather around the board and use that as a way to find others like minded in their goals. Stirring her thoughts on the reasoning behind it, picking her words carefully. Obviously the girl was bored or something to so haphazardly offer Kasumi aid. A glance across what the girl was wearing read back that maybe the -

Sam replied to Jibae's topic in Intermediate Floors
This lady seemed like the busy body type, she could except that. The mornings at Firm Anima was nothing but hectic so she could understand the sentiment. "The Sahagun scales seem to be a hit these days. My friend uses them for some of the clothing that she makes." A statement give and a truth. What she didn't understand is why and how. These creatures were not the best looking but somehow whatever was made with them turned into something beautiful. "I can hunt and you carve. I don't want to brutalize the flay." She was not much of a carver or chef in that matter. She would think that it was mu -

“Am I going to stay up here and brood all night, indeed,” Oscar said to himself as Sin made her exit. Certainly not. Was it not the prerogative of the host to enjoy his own festivities? Oscar descended the stairs onto the main floor. Perhaps one of the only faces that were not masked. Perhaps it ruined the mystique. But anyone who he would want to hide his identity from would pick him out of a crowd anyway. It was difficult to pass under the radar, unfathomably tall as he was. He stopped by the bar first. A shot of burning spirits to ignite his own. He deliberately ignored Sin,

New Round of narrative {2/3} The woman twists to lock eyes with the girl that had slipped in, pegging her the whole way as she'd round the pool of water. "Mean me no harm?" The waved locks of brown are flicked behind her right shoulder, the curls instilled in them from the tight bun it was usually trapped in. The woman tosses up one of the many thin gold needles, debating her options and even comparing her schedule. If she took too long, then she'd end up burning away her own free time after she collected what she'd come here for. Sam couldn't get into the way of that, her time was held i -
Mari tilted her head up toward the ₣₳₵ɆⱠɆ₴₴ ⱠØⱤĐ, closing her eyes at the oddly intimate gesture from the creature that towered over her. Whose mere presence tore through her HP. It questioned her claim and she simply opened her eyes as she stared back at him. Unyielding in her resolve. She wanted to reiterate that Addex was hers, for what he had done to her. To Lancaster. But those steeled eyes of blue told the man all that and more, so much unspoken between the two. Their pasts were so entwined that there was no need for words. The ₣₳₵ɆⱠɆ₴₴ ⱠØⱤĐ turned to Addex, Mari could practically tast

Artoria gave a bright cheers to Mari's return. Mari gave a half-hearted rise then clink of her glass against the other womans. "Sure." Mari would offer her another faint smile. Artoria seemed so bright..exuberant. Mari downed her glass, enjoying the flood of warmth alcohol bought her. Then held up a single finger, signalling the bartender to pour her another of the same. Straight whiskey. As Mari watched the masked man pour her another drink she cleared her throat. "Not sure I'll be returning per se." She'd rather idle her days away in peace but she didn't mention it. Mari picked up her glass,

Sin was on the hunt. Less for any sort of satisfaction and more for a lack thereof. It was a surprise, but she found that she couldn't turn it off as easily as she would have liked. Which was frustrating. The woman had little problem flitting between distraction to distraction, but now that she had something important to do - now that she had some skin in the game - that didn't come so easily anymore. Even as she sought her own entertainment at the function, she found herself looking out of the corners of her eye. As people paired off, she watched body language and strained her hearing to list

they’re all gone. their hopes aren’t dead but inheritance has distorted them and they are bleeding. they invite new faces to their ranks every floor then more or the same leave, alive but never to be found. it’s nice to decorate oneself as a savior until one has to actually put in the work. artoria agrees, though, that their longstanding imprisonment is a bit of a boring topic for the club. she lets mari interrupt herself without comment. “so it’s not a welcome but a cheers to your return!” she clarifies. mari flusters more at complimenting her than artoria does taking it; her lack o

Then there was nothing, the fields had been washed of all that would oppose. Alarms blared on to no aggressor, as fleeting attempts at aid had been crushed under a cast iron fist. There would be more names on the wall, in the dozens to join others. But such was the price to pay for insurrection, for an utter lack of human decency. For betrayal of all the joy and futures that were stolen. Husbands, Sons, Daughters and wives, yet in here they had donned the masks of monsters and had forgotten how to feel. In that way, they were nothing more then the monsters of the game they feared. A hollow ras

"Positively glowing, little fire bug. Cannot wait to see what you become." "Arbiter of death." Came Mari's cold reply, her tone void of emotion, the warmth it usually held when she addressed the man. It had been replaced with something far more stronger, far more insidious. A blanket of darkness followed Mari, its own tiny little bubble of shadows, their playful dance buoyant on the evertides of her footsteps. The two would have been completely swallowed if not for the flutter of flamed wings, feathered pyres drifting off her form and setting the ground alight behind her. A trail of

Ariel - The Crowned Lion replied to Ariel - The Crowned Lion's topic in Intermediate Floors
The two figures returned along the lantern path, their steps softened by the hum of evening. The faint jingle of bells marked their approach before Ariel looked up from where she stood beside the gate, still as the torii behind her. Claudia was arranging wrapped sweets into a small wooden tray when they drew near. Ariel inclined her head, the faintest smile tracing her lips. “Welcome back. I trust your walk was pleasant.” she said, voice low but warm. “Thank you both for your visit.” Claudia stepped forward, presenting each of them a small pouch tied with red and gold ribbon containing -
Dried lips drag across his skin, as the man cannot help but cling to his beloved. A rough and languished stroll through exhaustion, as both had burned the candle at both ends. Mari was much more worse for wear, but Vincent wasn't entirely top of the morning. A draining excursion that left them both beaten and bruised. Interlocked fingers as her head nestled in the space on his shoulder, causing him to lean into her to make it easier. The drag of a cigarette as they moved through chaos, destruction as if it was their world crumbling to pieces. Even still their love stood through such a trial, a

Lv24. W when bistro had texted her of her arrival, she had expected to look forward to her attendance soon after. except, the woman’s absence was immediately felt from her going awol on text. then, there was marquis, whom she personally invited for a night of cordiality on behalf of being in bistro’s known circle. they had been in linked arms, each donning a mask of white so as to match, iris noting the goldwork on marquis’ pick as it shaped her face into a jackal’s. and, in contrast to iris’ own burgundy halterneck slit-cut dress, marquis had strewn iris’ white fur shawl over her

The invitations had caused a stir far too dramatic, too enticing, for Plum to ignore. She'd caught the black scraps of paper, like closing her hand around flower petals on the breeze, delicate, deliberate. She had turned the card over and over between her fingers for hours, wondering who it was who could pull out all the stops like this for a party, and who might be in attendance. Did she dare risk going? It seemed unlikely the guests could be targets of any dangerous game mechanic, but the social aspect of it she had to weigh against her curiosity, until the latter -predictably- won.

Why? Why did it feel like the world was always against them? Against her? She had tried hadn't she? Another hiccup. She had denied herself even the most barest of necessities. A sniffle. She never had real food, her stomach rumbled, reminding her she hadn't eaten in 4 days. She had never been able to properly bathe herself. Denied even the simple comfort of warm water. For so many years...and now she had those things. Now she was living the world was trying to take it away from her? Her fire, her everything - the sweet succor in a world of dark had spoken, but truth be told Mari barely
