  2. The damage dealt to the bandit was miniscule. The health bar barely moved with each successive blow. This place was filled with many more mobs just as beefy as this one. Your health bar was a different story. Brute force was not going to get you through this one. The bandit recovered swiftly from your previous attack and immediately moved to counter attack. Luckily you were faster. As the greatsword rushed towards you, threatening to take another portion of your valuable health points, you side stepped causing the blade to miss its target and leaving the attacker wide open for another strike.
  3. "Over there actually," Wulfrin pointed towards a large lake not to far from the fisher's hut. "It's actually the end of the river we were at during the First Lessons." Wulfrin led the duo to a small dock that extended a good ways into the lake. It was just wide enough the two could fish without interfering with each other. Wulfrin materialized a couple of chairs and a cooler. Before gesturing Astra to join him. "Get comfortable," Wulfrin said with a sigh. "Even with Anthony's 'Special Bait' catching the fish necessary for the gleaming scale will be a long grind. Took me several hours
  4. Terra Firma's protective boon envelops your form mere seconds before the blade of the bandit hits your digital flesh. The pins and needles feeling of the pain absorber kicking in engulfs your left arm as the greatsword hits just below your shoulder. The damage of the strike is nothing to scoff at as a portion of your health bar drops, though not enough to cause it to go yellow. The wound drips the red colored digital particles from the now open red digital mesh of your avatar. "Still standing?" The bandit questions with a smirk. "Good. Makes the hunt that much more fulfilling." "Care
  5. His guildmate, Pollux (better known to him as Yue Hua), was punctual for her designated training session. Wulfrin’s eyes gravitated naturally to the status bar that appeared below his out of pure instinct. He was impressed to be sure. As far as Wulfrin was aware her stats were supposed to be much lower, considering her newer player status, but they appeared to have skyrocketed. ”You’ve done some leveling,” Wulfrin chuckled as he casually twirled a dagger between his hands. “I’m happy for you. The boost from this quest won’t be noticed much, but maybe we can at least unlock the ex-“ H

  7. Half a bar was left on their tainted foe, and Wulfrin remained lazer focused on the task at hand. The end was within the raid party's grasp. One final push and it would all be over. Zandra's words echoed in his mind. To Wulfrin, it was like a spit in the face, once final laugh by the bear and by extension, Cardinal. "I'd unload," Wulfrin sighed under his breath. "But it seems my luck is fading." That left one tactic, continue as if the bear still had plenty of life to cut through. Wulfrin leveled his blade at Callisto before charging forward, closing any distance the bear had gained.
  8. Your strike lands clean on the bandit's form. The damage was less than desirable, but the most important part did take hold. The bandit staggered from the blow disoriented. The bandit's sword lowered as they struggled to regain their focus. For now you have an opening but how long will your luck play out? Here in the carved stone dungeons of Fort Faultwarren, it was hard to tell. The deciding factor would be how hard these bandits will hit in return. The scale of Terra Firma weighs heavy within your virtual inventory. With any luck you may still get to use it. Eventually the bandit regain
  9. "Wait what are-" The young man tried to speak as you throw open the door to your cell. The bandit that had put on the display of force wasn't too far down the hall. Upon your declaration of intent, they stopped in their tracks and turned to face you. They discard the club in favor of a large greatsword on their back. They begin to roll their sword arm in preparation for a fight. Their red crystal hovering above their head projecting a green health bar as the Faultwarren Bandit approached. "Someone's got some balls it seems," The bandit smirked as they cracked their various muscles i

  11. Wulfrin moved fast to dispatch the opponents before him forcing them to dissipate into a shower of data fragments. Whatever this extended event he was witnessing was, he didn't like the idea of an army essentially leaving their commanding officer to die. Wulfrin pushed forward continuing to cut a large swath through the clashing armies. When he finally emerged from the ongoing chaos, his eyes fell upon a gruesome sight. Before him was Zariel, the blade of their sword planted deep in the ground as Levistus stood over them with his devilish charm exuding outward chilling the hot air around
  12. When Wulfrin's vision returned, his blade was locked with a snarling fiend. With a heavy grunt, Wulfrin pushed back his foe. He was surrounded by four fiends chomping at the bit to tear into his flesh around him combat was roaring. The same army he had witnessed run the fiends out of Idyllglen was fighting devil and demon alike attempting to break through the chaos around them. Wulfrin moved quick to stun the ones attacking him, allowing him a chance to better assess the battlefield. The humanoids were losing and Wulfrin witnessed their morale begin to tank drasticlly before they began to retr
  13. "So they captured you too," The figure says in response. "Welcome to Fort Faultwarren's dungeon, aka hell and base of operations for the Faultwarren bandits. Word of advice, stay away from the door. The guards don't keep the cells locked since they have no keys, but they make regular rounds so escaping without a fight will be difficult. Best to just cut your loss and accept fate." The young man's voice is devoid of positive emotion, resigning themselves to a fate that is yet to be written, but to them seems certain. The yellow crystal that hovers over their head signifies them as an NPC.
  14. A shower of fractal motes rained down in the wake of Wulfrin's second strike. Wulfrin didn't stop to relish in his victory this time as he immediately began to move towards another group beating on the door of what Wulfrin assumed was the town hall. He could hear the screams coming from inside, but as he began to assess the situation, hope began to vanish from his demeanor. There was a literal army attempting to break down the barricaded door. Wulfrin knew full well it would be a death sentence to challenge head on and began formulating some sort of game plan. As Wulfrin crunched numerous
  15. Wulfrin looked to the sky expecting to see the familiar view of the next floor, instead he saw an uninterrupted view of the night sky, outlined only by the faint glow of the fires burning around him. The plot thickens, Wulfrin thought to himself. Turns out Idyllglen isn't even on the floating castle. Wulfrin's mind began to spiral through countless possibilities, most of which revolving around some sort of cut content or similar scenarios that would have brought players to the world below Aincrad. Reguardless of how he got here, the reason for him being here was clear: Save Idyllglen
  16. Echoing throughout the Forest of Wavering Mist were sounds of various forest dwelling beasts, the howls of prowling wolves, the skittering of large spiders throughout the canopy, and even the occasional twig snap and bush rustle was enough to put anyone on edge. Following the obviously marked trees, you eventually come upon a break in the forest's dense canopy. The small clearing, no bigger than about ten feet across, was also notably without the obscuring mists. According to the ransom note, this was the supposed meeting place, and yet there was no welcoming party. Stepping further into the c
  17. "Oh thank you," Issela said as the dialogue box faded. "Travel safe, and bring my darling Kagamine home." Issela waves as you leave the town of Flora. The barely cobbled road leading east extended for a ways before ending at the outskirts of the Forest of Wavering Mists. Somewhere inside this twisting maze of dense foliage, was a meeting spot that a defenseless mother was to collect her child from a group of bandits. As you press into the forest, the name becomes incredibly clear. Visibility drops to near zero as the encroaching mists engulf your form. The lack of visibility makes it hard
  18. Wulfrin quickly followed up with another series of attacks that felled the attackers before helping the family to their feet. "What's happening here?" Wulfrin asked the NPCs as they got to their feet. "I've no idea kind swordsman," A man in his mid forties said as he ushered his family behind him. "They came out of nowhere and began terrorizing our village. Speaking of which, I don't recognize your dress. Are you from some far away land?" "You could say that," Wulfrin said as he held open a nearby door for the family to retreat. "I'm kind of lost actually. Think you can tell me
