  1. "That's more than I have to be honest," Wulfrin shrugged. "Good to see Freyd and Morningstar are tagging a long. Pure happen stance that we've got four members of the raid team together for a quick quest." Wulfrin scanned the immediate area. No NPCs stood out as quest givers to him, but that's pretty much par for the course in Aincrad. The NPCs didn't have floating exclamation points to signify you needed to talk to them. Usually you had to go off of either talking to each individual until you found the one you need, or you got your info from a broker. Unfortunately based on Acanthus's ta
  2. "How's about another push then," Wulfrin smirked as his blade began to shine with another art. "I'll hit it's defenses this go around and see if I can't soften them up a bit." Wulfrin's blade collided with the now recovered Demon King Ravana's form with a heavy impact, the avatar gaining a new fractal pattern akin to a cracked egg. Shatter was in full effect now, the target's mitigation dropped allowing for a higher damage output. What remained of the health bar was sliced in half as Wulfrin stepped back to regroup with his allies. The way had been paved all that remained was for them to
  3. "Funny enough," Wulfrin chuckled. "VR Game development. Always was a fan of RPGs and when the Full-Dive system was announced, I knew that's what I wanted to do. A whole other reality filled with mythical beasts and epic quests. The irony is palpable. Though I will say I never had any plans to trap players in it against their will. My brain child also had a magic system." Wulfrin leaned back in his fishing chair and watched his bobber occasionally dip below the surface. He was essentially living in a realized version of his dream, yet the possibility of death was making the experience sour
  4. "It lives in my inventory," Wulfrin replied to Mina's question. "Same with my tackle box. Sometimes I like to just kick back and fish when I'm out questing always better to keep it on me." Wulfrin put the items back in his coat. He appreciated the gesture of thought of letting him keep them, though the crystal felt incredibly heavy. It may prove useful to Wulfrin in the future and hopefully that situation will be more favorable than the last time it was used. "As for what happened," Wulfrin sighed as he began to allow the memory to resurface. "The biggest thing was that you didn't s
  5. "A sound plan," Wulfrin chimed in on their defacto leader's current hit list. "I've been in parties that have taken out The Slime King and The Shadow Dragon Matriarch. Haven't done much field boss hunting though. My sword is at your disposal though. I'll play status inflictor, stuns, delays, shatters, you know the typical Tech Specialist playstyle." Wulfrin scanned the gathered group of players before him, he only recognized a few of them, Morningstar, Night, Acanthus, and Cordelia. Now that he thought about it the only two he hadn't ventured out with at least once were Night and Oscar hi

  7. "A mistake," Wulfrin muttered under his breath. He knew full well what had caused Freyd's odd death and reformation. Just as he was about to head back down his mental rabbit hole, Freyd chimed in seemingly to change the subject. "Funny enough I found a merchant had popped up in the bazaar here in Fortaleza selling them for the Diwali event currency. Kind of good timing I'd say." Freyd's hand on Wulfrin's shoulder brought a feeling of comfort back to their current conversation. It also helped reassure him that Freyd wasn't just some figment of their shared Custom Skill. Strangely Wulfrin's
  8. Wulfrin was doing his best "tank" impression, though his lack of hate generating skills was making it a bit difficult. He wished he could At least soften up the boars but his kit made that basically impossible. Even bare knuckle punching them would deal more damage to them once you factored in all his skills, so he was stuck occasionally flicking his wrist to cause another puff of pollenated pheromones to fill the air. At least it was keeping the boars off the newbies and by now he had the full attention of the boars still on the field. They needed to wrap this up quickly though. This quest wa
  9. Wulfrin poked his head into the familiar shop of The Honeydew & Hushwind. There his guildmaster, the ever relaxed Mornigstar, tinkered away at the pile of appraisals he had waiting for him. At first Wulfrin was a bit nervous to disturb him, but ultimately decided he could use the company. He had come this far to handle a quest while he waited for Jomei to get in touch with him about facing Kumatetsu for Scents of the Wild. This time it was a conflict between some elves and treants. "Hey Morningstar," Wulfrin greeted. "Anyway I can convince you to accompany me on a quest? You can bring
  10. "Guess it's time for quest turn in then," Wulfrin shrugged. "Thing went down pretty quick, though this does remind me that I had something brewing up that I could use some extra man power on. I've got a few bosses on my radar, namely Cerberus for a new tech art. Figured we could maybe splash a few field bosses in between. Could help me get frontline ready as we push closer to the raid being open." Wulfrin looked out to the open lake before them. It was already packed from the countless other entries for the tourney, but Wulfrin knew they had already claimed the largest catch. The rest of

  12. Wulfrin stepped into the streets of Fortaleza as a shadow of himself. He hadn't slept in a few days, there was no way he could. The images and sounds that had flashed through his mind during the raid lingered. He hadn't told Ciela about his near death experience, he couldn't even bring himself to mention it. His lie was always the same, "Callisto the Tainted was an Ill Omen, but the Frontline held strong and won without casualty." The other evidence tried to keep hidden from her was his lingering reminder of the raid events. Here in the desert city's streets, he wandered around in the blacks o
  13. "Not an off base assumption Ara." Wulfrin chimed in as he over looked the desolated town before them his weapon still drawn and ready for a fight. "Wasn't Callisto supposed to be some sort of protector for the denizens of Floor 28? If that's the case, we might have actually just prevented this corruption from spreading to lower floors." Wulfrin's survey of the land. The towering behemoths shambling around, amorphous blobs of blackened ooze moving from alley to alley, and other more outlandish creatures filled the 29th's lifeless expanse. Wulfrin looked over to his Guild Leader, Morningsta
  14. The usage of a teleport gate signified to Wulfrin that Freyd wasn't just some freakish activation of their shared Custom Skill. Gemini couldn't use them to travel between floors. Or could they? Regardless of the current circumstance, Wulfrin only stood in guilt stricken horror as the dark ruins of the floor lay out before the party. The place gave him the chills. Something wasn't right. No safe zones, no NPCs, just the unnatural feeling that something was trying to claw its way in. Perhaps Callisto was just the beginning, or worse a warning that whatever is happening here may be spreading. Dee
  15. "Only until I graduated high school if I'm being honest," Wulfrin replied after briefly chuckling at Astra's poor word choice. "That was mainly due to my scouting days. Kinda lost all my free time to the dreaded college work. Always wanted to take it back up again though. Aincrad gave me that opportunity." Wulfrin's line went taught. Wulfrin entered a brief struggle with a largemouth bass before he eventually brought it above the water. It wasn't the biggest, but he could probably manage to get some meat off it. Correction, Ciela could probably make use of it. Wulfrin would probably just
