[F12-PP-PT] Where Nightmares Tread [Slimin 2, the talkening]

A rich cat had bought her afternoon. Something something, sahagun blood was all she had penned to her memory. The important bit is that his was the object requested by her contractor, paying the woman a small fortune every day for her due diligence. Jibae was for hire to the highest bidder, and if they wished her to collect blood from a fish person she'd gladly perform the task. A hand to her glasses sees them slid from her face, precisely and intricately folding the legs inward and tucking them into her blouse. Walking through a dreary and rundown village that bloomed faintly in orange candle light, desperately clinging to whatever warmth it could offer. A far cry from Jibae's frequent environments of mansions and shops, where cleanliness came in spades. Through the ramshackle barricades that divided the villages territory from the rest of the floor, the woman leans to one side with a hand nestled into her hip.

"Disgusting." she quips in obvious irritation, drinking in the horrendous landscape muddied with broken buildings and crumbling docks. Fish people would likely be spanning the coast, the thought checked through her mind and became her first direction. A pair of slender pale fingers reaches to her bonnet and she removes a headpiece, tucking it neatly into her apron. A moment later a long pin in her hair sees it drop into an unkempt and wavy sway of brown. Those pins glint in a gentle gold, and flicker to life as they remain clasped in between her fingers in a fist. Trudging along through the wastes, untamed hair spanning in a thick curly mess from her shoulders. Near the edge of where the water would begin to become much more vast, on a small isle in its center. The woman would press her fingers into her lips and whistle sharply.

Out from the water leaps a harpoon dragging fish man, clearing the water by 10 feet or more. Before it can even land, Jibae flicks her right hand and sends a spray of thin metal hair pins in a fan into it. Like a pincushion it is serrated as those slivers of gold tear through it like paper. A flick of her hand sees them return with another low tone, coming back through the creature for a second time. The thing lands but not like it intended, crashing into a dead heap at her feet without even the slightest of grace in its fall. Meanwhile those hairpins spring back toward her, and with a rip of her arm out she catches them in her right hand between her fingers. "That's one." The woman remarks to the same tone as if she was doing dishes, giving no cause for concern or care to the now crumpled decaying carcass in front of her. "Ten should suffice, I'll be done before lunch. And the coin isn't too bad...." Slamming her foot into the side of the creature sees it unfurl, treating it like a piece of furniture. "either..." A feeling of being watched, her skin tingles slightly. Her eyes dart and lock directly on @Sam's position and narrow. Just who the hell was this woman?

The rough and murky marshlands offered little in the way of comfort. Wet bogs and stagnant pools really had a habit of licking his heels, and it took much more effort to lift his feet. The fingerless gloves on his hands are pulled tight, before his attention shifts to the cloak on his shoulders. A grab of the fabric slides a buckle and gets it more adhered to his shoulders. "Its time to see what this is all about." Raidou comments an open word to no participant, a statement made to the whole of the floor and the message he had received 3 hours, 2 minutes and 46 seconds ago. The clock of his mind moved ever forward in a constant, and with it the plans and schedule clicked on. Out into the wastes where he had been about just as frequently as any other floor.

The truth was Raidou had paced these floors backwards and forwards, maps upon maps sat ready on the guild hall table that had been used by nearly all the members of the guild he'd founded nearly exactly a year after the games inauguration to the day. All recorded both to parchment and behind a steel trap that was his mind. The dim lighting danced across the mirrors of glass on his face, drawing a real world obscurity upon them that would remind others of the world they had left behind. The truth was Raidou didn't even need them, given the system had more then corrected his vision in here and augmented other aspects of him to extremes. Real world experience melded with system assistance bread massive gains through careful planning. Today was but a single leg in that long drawn journey, and to this day he walks to further goals and secure Aincrad from chaos.

Out into the main woods, through darkened and rotted spire of skeletal like branches the wanderer travels to the sticky slap of his boots leaving the molasses like terrain. The woods seemed rather quiet as of today, proving that perhaps some of the grinding battalions of players had blown through and cut down some of the mobile groups of sahagun. But as he'd wander he'd begin to peg the oddest cuts across the ground, lines drawn through the mud and stone. The trees themselves seemed carved in that same thick lashing. "A whip?" Raidou comments running a finger across the line denoting the girth of the impressions. His sonar like defenses catch movement, that causes him to spring and stir from his close inspection. What his eyes set upon isn't at all what he was expecting. A small girl or woman barely 5 feet tall and painted in a bright flamboyant pink hair that reminded him of violet almost to the letter. But the expression was far more suggestive and welcoming then he'd expect to see, used to those unknown to him recalling the omens and legends of his history. A flick of his index against the bridge of his nose, he'd ask to @Abelith "Can I help you?" without too much purchase in the statement.

A cool breeze permeates the spaces around, as a katana slowly returns itself to its scabbard. The water that sat around the area had taken to freezing solid into polished but obfuscated sheets of ice. The screams of troublesome players that had taken the life of others, fill the air through constant downpour that could chill bone. They had thought themselves above such fear, that they were the thing to be feared. But instead in these moments of weakness despite their faux strength, plead like helpless children to the dark to have it spare their worthless lives. Those tongues find little in the way of sympathy or remorse, instead being carved the mouths that bore them. The stark and razor thin line of blue would burn through the air without rime or reason, cleaving parts and pieces for their treason. Arms and legs detach, and heads roll all before they rejoin the sky in fragments of digital stardust.

Rampaging through the paths that lead toward the safe zones, finding the possibility of being attacked by the guards that resided there to be a better fate then in the jaws of whatever creature was devouring them one by one from the dark. All the while the thick white mists of floor 4 would follow them like a predator, and within it Setsuna was in her element. A soft exhale that bled through the purple colored cloth cover that concealed the lower half of her face. Her burning stamina keeping pace with those that were fleeing her aggressive and surgical erasure. From tree to rooftop effortlessly, her legs acting almost like second arms hoisting her around or across the rises without a sound. Not many could hear her coming, and even fewer had the ability to even stop her. Only a select few, such as Alkor or Raidou had ever managed to stop her attack and even they had trouble doing it without being clipped. The guillotine that she was left little alive to tell the tale.

The last player rounds the gate of the safe zone just in time to run straight into a blonde as she started to exit. Instinctually out of fight or flight, the orange player clamps around her frame and aims to use her as a shield. "That's it, you come any closer and the...." A razor thin cyan blue line sends a spray of red data as the dagger held is cleaved into two pieces. A head flops to the floor and begins to roll in a swivel, the knees of a digital body giving way and collapsing without the slightest resistence. @Mokka in utter shock would feel a sudden chill down their spine, sending their skin far below the standard humid climate of the floor. The cold wave of permafrost bleeds from the blades surface, finding the air to be misted around its icy blue well maintained edge that hardly found itself exposed for too long. A flick of her arm sees it cast off to her side, then turned and slid back into the saya on her lower back.

The girl enters in a flash of blue light, a brief and fleeting thing that exists for only a moment. A white colored gii slathered on her frame, as she reaches up and tightens the ribbon in her hair. It wasn't often that she found herself on floor 12, mainly due to the fact that the floor was mostly barren. Large insects buzzed back in forth, almost impossibly large like the ones on floor 6. There was a questionable amount of silent invitation on this floor, providing very little in the way to encourage players to pay it a visit. It was wet and sticky, everything was broken or worse. For her and the rest of the guild however, it was a prime candidate for some outside intervention. Kasumi turns her attention to her hands, and begins to tighten the cloth wraps around her palms. A sharp tug here and wrapping the loose ends underneath the backside of her wrist, they were more then ready just incase she needed them.

Leaning to her side, she'd pick up the crate of supplies that she had constructed back at the guild hall. Her target? Dayurga and all of its deteriorating buildings. Pressing the thing against her chest and cupping her hands around the back corners, Kasumi hoists her frame back a bit to offset the weight and begins to trudge through the swamp. As uninviting as this place was, there were small traces of beauty throughout its grim and rough appearance. The way the mist shined a spectrum of color from the dew that loomed over the wet ground or the way fish poked their heads from the water to snap up bugs that hovered a bit too close to a surface. The simple things that most players wouldn't look deep enough to see. The sticky wet mess clung to the girls heels, as she perched her senses ready for any of the floors hostiles to attempt to stop her. Yet without much resistance the girl would make it to where she was headed, as if the box in her hand worked as some sort of odd repellant.

Clambering into the walls of Dayurga, she'd move for the center most complex and lean to reach for the handle. A gruff looking short stack eyes her with hesitation, yet once she is recognized the man lets his hostility fall to pieces. Another frequent visitor to this little settlement. The object in her arms working almost like a travel visa, for even if it were a newer looking player those were rather common occurrence. Inside a warm hearth matched with an empty exterior. Not many visitors came this far out. Placing the crate on a countertop, she'd smile and wave to the bartender who moves to her. "Another one? Thats the third today." Spoken bluntly, as Kasumi pats the top of the box. "I know, but its good to get a jump on things so if things get crazy we don't need to make another delivery." A smile and a wave as she'd leave it for him to empty, her eyes catch @Lanna as they intend to pass through the same threshold. That same chipper joy and a wave back, Kasumi didn't expect to see anyone else.

The colossus that was Griswold wasn't entirely sure the reason why he was on this floor. An alien message out of the blue had beckoned for him to come here, to the promise of all manner of stranger metals. The smith was always interested in discovering the deeper elements of the game when it came to alloys, having been more then familiar with what he assumed was most if not all of them. Yet the source of that message was even more curious. The mysterious woman in white locks, the one the guild had been tracking for the better part of a few months, and never had the smith imagined that she would ever contact him directly. Nisahime wasn't exactly the type to offer contact in such a way, more of the drop on your doorstep unannounced type. Another fat fingered navigation of his menu with aggravating difficulty, the smith rereads the context and tries to decipher the directions given.

A glance to his minimap and back to the message. "Toward the coast to the east, three knots to the north?" The man wasn't exactly Christopher Columbus and didn't have any idea how long a knot was. Choosing to follow his gut, he'd wander toward the waters edge, catching some weird screeching and splashing in the distance. A single rod sat broken upon the darkened scum filled coastline. A glance at his compass leaves him even further confused, adverting his positioning to face due north. What he saw was plain as day nothing but water. Was she expecting him to swim? A lift of a plated gauntlet to his brow, he'd rub feverishly at his forehead contemplating the options he had available to him to even attempt to get out on the waves. Maybe he was mistaken? Back into his screen he confirms what was written to stem disbelief.

It was accurate, and the smith starts to collect some of the drift wood across the beaches surface. Scraps begin to join their brothers in massive chunks of what used to be pieces of other nautical vessels in the attempt to create some sort of makeshift raft and actually attempt to scour out what he was being directed toward. Pieces begin to be shifted about as he uses his weapon: the malus, as a claw hammer driving slightly bent nails into the boards. A bit of bending and some serious craftsmanship starts to get the stuff to resemble a raft. A whistle perks his attention and sees the 6'9 titan seek its source, finding his sights locked on some small kid barely 120 lbs wet covered in some thick black poncho looking thing. "Uh...  Hi?" Griswold remarks with a wave of a hand, trying to be polite while digging at the reason for the extra players arrival. The kid doesn't offer too much in response and instead starts to beat a path down the slope toward where the man was working, as if something was driving his movements. Perhaps intrigue or inspiration, to what the smith was doing.

A bobbing lure in the vast rim of surrounding water, flicks limply at a rod and sends the spool reeling. "A bite? took you long enough." Nisahime remarks as her attention is captured by the bobble sinking beneath the water, her right hand hooking the little lever at the base of the pole. A turn of the reel sees it locked dead, and a twist of her upper body would force the pole to bend toward the line. "A big one ey?" She spits out and raises to her feet, leaning in and reeling quickly to lessen the distance. What follows is a masters showing of how its done, a light tug when the fish would fight against and a little slack given to protect the pole. This is inverse to when it grew tired, and she rode hard the spool cutting the line shorter and shorter. That pole in her hands was kept on the brink of tension, enough to exert its pressure on the thing hooked on its end but not enough to break it. A couple rhythmic change in postures, like a dance to which she had already perfected. A shadow looms just beneath the water, and the woman dives toward it with the line held in her right hand. Her left latches onto the tail end of something slimy, and she pulls back in a sharp tug. Out comes a catfish the size of a boar, about as large as her torso.

"Damn, you're a fat ass." Nisahime remarks having to roll to get the damn thing off her. A massive catfish in brown and green scales, turns out that cornmeal was one hell of a ticket. A mental note to cook up a fresh batch of the stuff after a visit to floor 4. A knife appears in her hand in a flash of white light and she begins to gut it right there, as a living box meanders up to her side. Cutlets of fish are offered to a bundle of linen, before its bound and tied in rope and cast into the mimic. "That about does it, should be...." She comments as she'd pull out a small book and a quill and scratch a check into the parchment. "From here, I would go north." A glance over the trees, an internal compass dialed in. The woman lifts to her feet, bending down to pluck up her pole. A thrust of her hand against the top sees the thing collapse like a nightstick before she tosses it into her awaiting chest. A tap of those hands together sees them struck clean, and a pat of her knees sees the grass and dirt clipped off. Right into the brush as her blade and shield manifest on her, despite her smaller looking appearance. Through the woodlands without an ounce of care and a quick pace of carving away at foliage, her weapon taking the shape of a machete for the moment. What she finds in her travels however, is a small shack filled with.... "Lizards?" the woman remarks out loud, as @Lium pops out and stares at her blankly.

It was chilly, gross and completely unethical for her to be here. Sam had told her that there was supposed to be some form of treasure on this floor but so far all she had seen were trees, mud, rocks and oh yea more mud. She hated it here with a passion “I swear to god Samantha Rose if you were lying to me” a glaring expression painted on her face as she was thinking of ways to get Sam back for the hearsay information. “MEOW” glancing down, Felix was practically swimming in the mud trying to keep up. “Well I told you not to come. Maybe this time you should have listened?” A gurgling meow as a response from the black cat. Shaking her head, she didn’t really want to pick him up because his black fur was now brown. 

As she walked through this very gross terrain, her boots would sink in further to the ground than she wanted them to. All she could think about was a very hot steamy bubble bath with a glass of wine and her smoke. It was only a matter of time. Glancing to the marker that Sam gave her coordinates to, she seemed to be almost there, that was if it actually existed. It was rather far out here and she couldn’t understand why Sam couldn’t come out here on a later date. Why today, why right now? She had just said that it was important and crucial to Firm Anima’s inventory. “I am so going to kill you Sam” saying as she attempted to follow where she was being led to. 

In the distance she could see a cabin, more like a shack. Looking up it was this location that the icon was pointing to. “Good, let's get this treasure and get the hell out of here” calling down to Felix as he answered back with a meow. Starting to walk a little fast, stopping dead in her tracks as she sees the door fly open and a body flung outwards crashing a sliding against the mud. Simmone quickly picks Felix up into her arms and puts her back against the nearest tree. She would pull her sword out. Felix would meow again, “Shut your face unless you want to die today” saying in almost a whisper looking right at her cat. Suddenly being dirty didn’t seem so bad if it meant that she would live to see another day.

“I’m sorry Master, I didn’t mean to, I’ll stay out here, I promise” Simmone would hear someone call out. It was most likely the person on the ground that was speaking in a panicked voice. Simmone would slowly look around the tree to the small wooden building. Walking out, leaning under the door frame, one huge mother fucker holding a giant axe in his hands. “NNNOOOOO PLEASE” the small man would say before that head came down like a wrecking ball. Simmone would pull her head back and close her eyes. Who the hell was this person? She really was going to kill Sam, that was if she didn’t die first.

The thicker marshlands seemed ever more humid, with massive bloated tree trunks swelling with moisture as they drift limply in murky and scum ridden pools. A flash overhead dances through dark clouds, and behind it a crackle of thunder that threatens to shake the earth. Heavy rain began to beat down in an endless rhythm of life, tapping vigorously at the top of every pool making them vibrate and create a warbled reflection. The air itself seemed to take on a white film, as the rain woke up filth and cast it up from the ground. A sloshed foot fall sees the man unconvinced, and even further unbothered. The sheer amount of times he'd been covered in far worse, was almost too many to tally. A little rain didn't do much to hamper his spirits. What remained is the reason for his visit, and the idea behind it.

The man need a moment away from the rain, not to save his clothing which was already heavy and soggy. Not to get the lead out of his boots which had taken on a few pounds in thick mud. The need, to read a map without it being beaten and drenched until it became used toilet paper. Pressing his hand into his upper brow, he'd perk up and squint to absorb his surroundings. More trees, more shady looking buildings, a ratty old dock, and a tower. "Bingo" Gaius quips out loud, removing his polearm from behind his neck and tucking it neatly behind his right shoulder. The water swells and is sucked into the skill charged leap, as Gaius clears the distance to the top of the structure in a single bound. His feet slam into the stone causing it to shutter, and its slicker then his traction can handle. Those legs flip right out from underneath him, sending him sliding into the outer ring that lined the roof and a couple breaking off as he claps a hand to stop himself from being thrown off.

Gaius cannot help a hearty chuckle against a drowning storm. "That could have been bad.." The man extrudes, dragging his legs off the edge and picking himself up. Covered in moss and dripping, the man heads down a half dismembered staircase that rounds the outer wall. This structure was looking like some sort of guard tower, long since forgotten. But given its density it would survive the storm a bit other then the rotted out buildings that surrounded it. His weapon would glow with a sword art, but being used as a source of white light. His hair in a knotted rats nest, his clothes mimicking the rain that sullied it with repeated droplets, and a wide grin on his face. He'd lock eyes with a guy tapping a white rag against his face and neck, taking shelter from the horrid weather. "This seat taken?" Gaius remarks without a second thought, and a second between. To the center of the chamber, he'd use his foot to shove a rundown table and with a flick snaps a leg off of a chair. A couple pieces into the middle of the room, he'd spark it with the tip of his spear into the smallest dimly lit kindling. "Name's Gaius." The brunette would offer a hand to @Reytac as the fire took, getting introductions out of the way and dumping the potential threat he could convey into the fire as fuel.

The ringing of a metal device in her hand as its tapped to a nearby wall, the thing hums through both prongs causing Shiina to wave it near her ear. The girl would start to mirror the tone in a hum of her own, entirely one to one she had zero issues locking in. The swamp wasn't exactly the most inviting place, that much was certain. But what it lacked in invitation it more then made up for in weirdness. The big lizard snake from a couple months back, the spooky chick in white on that bridge at midnight. The place was an honest to Kaiba mystery bag, that could provide all manner of entertainment at the drop of a dime. The splash of a puddle as the girl walked sees her smile, then turn and stomp in it to make the waves bigger.

All she had to do is seek out something of interest within this dark and dingy looking place, where the sun never seemed to peek through the constant thick fog that painted the sky an abysmal gray. Whisking herself off into the deeper droves of the floor, through the decaying swaths of trees and stagnant pools of algae filled water. Deeper within what could be considered hazardous and yet Shiina was fully aware of her own strengths and what she could easily overtake. Anything that set upon her would find itself burning up in atmosphere on approach, and with the power behind her music as of late it would garner an early demise. Within those woods something catches her attentions, a riff from a guitar that breaks up the silence. From the mouth of a cavern virtually undiscovered by many, it left Shiina biting at the bit. A rock goblin? Some kind of bad ass dragon that had its own theme music? The clattering of her metal greaves as she ruffles down the corridors into the dark.

As she enters into the main clearing, she finds not anything nearly as cool as her imagination had drew. Instead she sets her eyes upon a piecemeal stage slathered together out of what would appear to be makeshift boxes with a tarp over its tops. On them stood a microphone and behind that stood @CC with long pink hair, raking away heavily across a pair of strings. Shiina drops belly first on the rock, propping her head up in her hands. The song would continue for the next few minutes, and Shiina would proceed as the silent observer. The girl was good, definitely knew her way around an instrument and the vocals were pitch perfect showing her experience. However the thing that stood out to Shiina was the lack of system assistance, it was clearly a learned skill and not one given by the game. It drew into question who this chick was. When the music finally comes to a halt, Shiina flips around to her butt and begins to clap feverishly. "Bravo, Bravo~! Do it again." The songstress shrieked in earnest encouragement and appreciation, finding the number of true musicians to be in the single digits.

Her eyes would begin to shine in a rich yellow as CC begins to play again, as voices whispered into her ear. A glance toward the cavern pathway that lead toward the entrance. "@Miki, You're so close. Be naught afraid. Time to rekindle that which you've lost."

The airship loomed in a large drawn shadow that took a fair portion of the sky with it. Despite the floor not having much in the way of daylight, what little it held was cut away by the wooden underbelly of a very old merchant vessel turned guerilla wartime vehicle. The NPC would work to man its helm and keep it aloft, while the red head would seek out one of the many side reels. A wench of chains, grasped in her right hand as she'd glance over the side. Wrapped around her wrist, the woman tosses her legs over the side and enters a freefall with tether. The thing offers some resistance to slow her descent, rattling on as it worked like a fishing line as it spun. Eventually her leather heel combat boots would find purchase into the squishy swamp, wistfully releasing the chain as she soon as she is stable. The thing retracts of its own volition, sending it away under tension and back into its spool.

Where she'd landed? A rundown pile of rotted out wood and stone, providing her little encouragement. It wasn't often her raids extended to something so utterly mundane, leaving her with a lack of confidence that she'd find much outside a few rotted out bags of flour. A foot raised as she'd approach the first door of many, slamming that boot of hers into brittle wood. A door and a fair chunk of adjacent wall are tossed into a spray of splinters and shrapnel, proving once again the bulls subtlety.  What stared back at her was decayed wardrobes, rundown bed frames where the cloth had long since deteriorated to strips of frayed linens. The red head moves for the first and starts to slide open drawers, loud and without tact. Some don't even remain in the furniture and are tossed straight behind her, exploding into data or shattering into pieces. Fully emptied, the woman hefts the thing over her head and tosses it clean out the battered and broken roof. The wardrobe sticks in the mud, standing up on its side like a tombstone. "What a fucking mess." The woman barks tossing a bundled up ball of fabric out a window, breaking the glass as it does. Using her weapon like a prybar, that ungainly cleaver of hers to start cutting up floorboards. "How the fuck did I get roped into this?" Celeste boasts in an irritated scoff, using both hands to rip out sections of the woodwork piece by piece. That irritation would persist as she'd start rampaging and getting more and more destructive, throwing furniture and storage vessels out any and every orifice that tiny home could muster. A good twenty minutes or so of crap being piled around the house like a makeshift stonehenge made of broken furnishings, the woman wrestles the bed over her head. "Mother fucker, You'll know it when you see it? Bitch do I look like..." The sentence breaks away as she stares @Mari straight in the face through one of the many broken windows.

"Sup?" she comments as she tosses the bed frame over the wall causing it to crumble in the yard.

New floor, new experiences which usually met with new people. Being on floor one was getting a bit boring. The same old people were always walking around the town of beginnings and she was running out of ways to draw them. She needed something new, someone new. Walking bare foot in the mud, feeling the moist texture between her toes. It would send shivers down her spine and not for the reason one might think. She was wearing a brown little styled dress that covered what it needed to. In the light the outfit would shine in a dark purple color, it was a shame that there wasn’t much sun. 

She was holding her whip out to the right every now and again she would strike at the ground creating these large gashes in the mud. With the substance being so thick, it would stay split. Doing this made it to where she could walk freely without stepping on anything pokey. A tree here and there was collateral damage, once or twice a trunk would be split in half and crash to the ground.

Something in the distance would catch her eye, a person, no, a man walking right toward her. She would start to circle him, it did not seem like he noticed her yet. A bright red coat that outlined his frame, glasses. She had seen him a few times in the town of beginnings but she was never able to grasp his full figure because he moved so quickly all the time. This was her chance to make her move. Staying still a couple yards away waiting for him to notice her, a smile peeled across her lips as she slightly twisted her head. A curious expression painted against her brows.

“Can I help you?” the man asked, there was something cute about him pushing those glasses up the bridge of his nose. 

“I think you can yes” saying as she wanders over to him. Sizing him up, the man’s stature was pristine. The way he presented himself while he stood there watching her every movement. Not a flinch or fast motion, that made her think he was waiting too. Touching his robe as she walks slowly around him observing the man. Eventually standing right in front of him again. “You are my next target” saying with a grin to her lips as she licks the corner. There were two boulders that would make a perfect frame. “Please come with me” she says as she starts walking to those rocks. Looking back she could see that the man was hesitating the offer. “Oh come now, don’t be shy” as she sees him move slowly to follow. “Lean against that rock, put a foot against it. Place one hand on your leg and the other on the rock. Look straight forward and don’t move.” He does this hesitantly, probably trying to figure out what she was up to. She would get onto the other boulder and take out her drawing back. When Raidou saw what she was attempting to do, he calmed down a bit.

A disgusting rank smell really left her nose to burn. The thought of why this was supposed to be a good idea crosses the girls mind. It wasn't really her idea but her followers that picked this floor out from a list she was reading off of. The rotted wooded buildings and algae gathering around bogs of stagnant water left so little to appreciate. "Really guys?" She quips toward a turn of her wrist. "This place blows super hard. Can't I go somewhere more sunny or bright?" Another dose of silence as she appears to be reading feverishly on a nonexistent sheet of paper. A huff and a sigh causes the blonde to hang her head, trudging along as she tried to find something worth a damn in this place given the verdict had been passed. A glance over the rundown quest board, a tilt to peer into a broken down well. The place was basically a scrap heap, even the NPC's didn't even look like they liked it here.

Rummaging through the various stores and holding conversations with those she found inside, learning a bit about the little lore details and trying to get a sense of what she was dealing with. Long stories regarding the sahagin or leviathan lull her chat into a near slumber, with Mokka yawning and feeling her eyes burning. "Man, all these speeches are a little long winded and boring. Where is the action? The excitement? Did the game designer just miss the memo and make a glorified lore dump as a location?" She responds quizzically with a twist of her left hand. Tossing her dagger limply in her right hand, causing it to spin and even almost stabbing herself with it but instead dropping it into the mud. "Now can I leave?" she pleads but again she is encouraged to explore, maybe find something cool in this musty butthole of a landscape. "Why do you all keep saying moist, mods mute anyone who says moist."

Meandering out of the walls of the main settlement, she scans deliberately to give them all a clear view of what they were working with. What stares back at her is more of the same, broken docks and overturned paddle boats. Rotted trees and thick unwelcoming mud traps. Giant bugs zoom back and forth across ponds, and a large gator wizzes past. "See? Nothing. Telling you guys. Ya'll bein dum dums." A heavy squishing noise as her first step sinks into 3 foot deep mud. "Perfect." she expresses sarcastically. A glance down to her boot is interrupted to the hasty slaps of another player in a full sprint. Her eyes lock to the orange marker over the dudes head, and widen once its obvious that it spelled trouble. "Shit, I mean Fuck, damn.... darn. Whatever!" she shrieks clamping her kneecap with both hands. The guy reaches her before she can get her foot free, and then pulls a knife to her throat. Struck still, as her chat floods with 'rip bozo'

The guy continues to yell and talk, and it doesn't take long before it dawns on her. "Who are you ta....?" The sentence is cut short as the dudes head is ripped clean from his shoulders in a horrifying display of carnage. "Fuck I'm going to get BANNED!" the first thought rips through her mouth without a filter. Frazzled and filled with a horrific mix of all manner of emotions, she locks eyes with a damn ice ninja. "Woah. Cool." she quips as her chat starts buzzing past in a constant endless stream of:

Pulling her hood up and tucking her jacket together. This floor was cold and gross, albeit not as cold as floor four. There were puddles everywhere she walked and even when trying to avoid the inevitable, there was still a small splash. The smell itself was just plain horrible and it was giving her a headache. The only reason why she was here was because she wanted to try doing something on her own. Raidou was always bringing herbs back to the shop and she wanted to prove that she could gather them by herself. 

Now that she had been here for a while trying to look for what was needed she realized that maybe this was not the right floor to be gathering herbs on. Reaching to her neck, she would try a different floor. Eyes would grow wide as she discovered that she forgot her teleport crystal. “Great” stopping in her tracks, retracing her steps from this morning. “Of course I left it on the night stand” saying in a grumpy voice. Looking around it was then that she noticed that she didn’t know which way was the way back. Everything looked the same, she depended way too much on that stupid crystal that Raidou gave to her. 

The situation was stacking against her with all the wrong outcomes. Not only was she lost in the middle of seemingly nowhere but she didn’t have a fast way back nor did she know the way back. This started to look more and more like the worst idea she had come up with yet. On top of everything that was already wrong she had yet to find any form of plant life in this god forsaken floor. Her eyes started to water as she would begin to wonder aimlessly in a direction.

If she messaged Rai right now then it would prove that she couldn’t do this one task by herself. She didn’t want the only person that truly cared about her to think that she was useless. That would be literally soul crushing, she couldn’t give up. Ruri had to figure this out by herself.

Taking out a small knife, she would start marking the trees so that she knew where she had already been. “I told you not to move, that is what you get for not listening” a voice that was unfamiliar to Ruri, she would run to a large boulder and duck down. Lifting her eyes just over the rock she would find a woman standing over a body that was smoking. Her heart began to race as she watched a few other players walk past the woman. They had orange markers, and Ruri went into full panic mode. She could stop her hands from shaking. Her eyes would swell as she readjusted her back to the boulder and slid down to sit in the mud. “I could have saved your dumbass from the mine if you were just patient” Ruri would cover her mouth thinking that not only was she in potential danger but there were traps around these parts. This was definitely one of the worst top ten days in Aincrad for her.

Wandering down the beaten path, not stepping in anything that looked like a hole or lake that he could sink in. He had sent his people out three times to get what he needed and every time they came back with less than nothing valued pieces of shit. If he wanted it done right he had to do it himself. With his hand made black poncho over his frame, he wanted to make sure that he didn’t get wet if this damned floor poured down on him. Catching some lizards of all different assortment of colors, he needed to carve the scales off them slowly and lightly so that he didn’t ruin the texture of the pristine materials. There were masterpieces back home that needed to be touched up and couldn’t do it without this specific material.

After gathering a few sets of the scale that were needed he would travel the floor for anything else that might look fascinating or unique to his keen eyes. The longer he stayed here though, the more he wanted to replace his so-called experts back home. They were becoming more and more useless as time moved forward and he really didn’t know how much more he could handle. Anton was already yelling at them daily for some dumb shit they had done, it was getting rather annoying that he kept having to repeat himself.

Coming to a small hill and a stop, watching a man hammering something together near a large body of water. At first glance it would look like the beginnings of a raft? Hop skipping down the small hill toward the player, which tried to greet him but that wasn’t his concern right now. “Wrong, all wrong” saying in almost anger as he began to look around at what the brute of a man had gathered for such a craft. “The hammer is okay if you want it to fall apart in the water” stating as he pulls out a spool of wire. Taking it upon himself to disconnect the pieces of wood that were put together with nails. Placing them evenly apart on the ground, pulling some wire off its home, and placing a piece of wood on top of the others. He would begin locking the lumber together tightly so there was no movement after being tied down. “If you want this raft to hold your body then the circumference needs to be much larger. Ideally you want to stand in the middle to keep balance on all sides.” Glancing up to the man blinking, “Much much larger. Fetch me more wood.” 

The giant man would leave, Anton would work on tying what he had together, cutting each thin wire with white cutters. The man would come back with more lumber and he would give a small coiled smile not because he liked the man but because he had followed orders without fighting with him about a simple decision that he had made. These were the type of people that he needed helping him in his shop. People that would do what he said no questions asked in a rush to every order given.

The rather abysmal outlook of the day had left her feeling a little bored. This floor was rather smelly, unclean and gross. Her shoes would need some definite cleaning after all this murky gunk, on the real. It was rather early, and despite it Lynn still felt like she was half way in a bed back on floor 1. A couple of hours ago she got a message from one of her many friends: Barrett. The tall dark and.... It promised a fruitful day of questing or whatever, yet no one had arrived. Until then she'd be just limply waiting around for someone to show up. A splash in a puddle sends a cold streak through her boot, sending a shiver straight up her spine. "Ew, Ew." The girl instinctually lifts her foot and starts to wiggle it, crumbling under the soggy stink that would take weeks to fade.

Making a move for a space somewhat dry, she'd peel off her boot and her now drenched sock. Taking that blue sock in both hands, she'd scrunch it up to wring out a honest helping of moisture. "Gross..." She drops off the cuff, flicking it flat and regretfully sliding it back on. Still slimy, but at least less borderline uncomfortable to wear. On goes her boot, and with it a mental note to watch for deeper water. This place sucked eggs, the heck was she here for? Pressing her hands into the dock, she'd lean forward. A trailing gaze as she'd inspect her surroundings. Her sights set on the center warp gate, moving to a small warmly lit tavern, to the rundown and moss covered fountain that no longer worked. Everything looked so run down, almost abandoned if she didn't take account of all the people still meandering around. What a weird locale.

A tinge of regret, she'd wait patiently for another thirty some odd minutes. A long sigh as she'd peel open her menu, recalling the message she'd read while half awake this morning. Her eyes trace the message carefully as she'd murmur. "He should have been here by now." The girl couldn't shake the feeling like she had been stood up. Perusing it finally clicks, and the date was the silver bullet. It was set for tomorrow.... "I am stupid. This is the last time I reply so early." Lynn comments in a defeated exhale, as the puzzle pieces had finally dropped into place. The blonde had already wasted a good portion of the morning sitting around and ruining her socks. What a streak of bad fortunes. With daylight draining, she had choices to make but most other players were likely already out and about. They wouldn't be camping the boards anymore. What a bust. Hopping off the dock back into the soft turf, she'd have some options but none of them good. Wandering toward the warp gate, the girl would aimlessly spot another blonde in full plate armor standing near one of the NPC. That woman looked so out of place by comparison to the other's she'd witnessed up to this point. She looked 'strong'. 

This might just be the stroke of luck she needed.

"Hi there~" Lynn would remark cutting into the conversation, leaning on @Eruda a bit without putting to much thought into the action. "Couldn't help but notice, you look like you know your way around. Think I could tag along?"

The abysmal stink of the floor would often be discouraging for the general player base. For Illi it was almost welcoming, the sheer amount of odd smells she'd dealt with on the regular made it not that big of a deal. However the thick mud wasn't nearly as welcome as it suction cupped her feet into the ground and with every step threatened to steal a shoe from her foot. "Ick." Illi expressed in a quick disapproval, taking a glance down at her boots and noting the thick layer of brown that had rimmed the bottoms. Tucked neatly behind her right shoulder was a long rod, and on the end near the soil was a long sweeping blade. A scythe, but almost unnaturally long. On her hip dangled a book adhered to her with a strap that raced across her torso and linked to her left shoulder. Next to it, a collection of vials in slots like a bandolier for bullets ran across her belt. Armed to the teeth in a sense, and yet her clothing wasn't that outlandish to show 'battle ready'

Trudging on toward the southern most side of the floor, following a rumor of dark whispers around where a lady in white had once resided. A ghost story as old as time itself, so more then likely it was a facsimile of that story and there was no truth to it. Illi knew the difference, and a lot of the ghosts and phantoms of the game turned out to be digital constructs that followed little of the actual arcana. Even still the possibility astounds her, drawing her in like honey in a pot. Reaching a small clearing, the girl would find a ring of stones drawn and a single rotted out log in its center. "Hmm, could work... But I doubt it." Illi scoffs to convey her doubts. She spins the scythe around, and plants the end opposite the blade into the ground like a flag. From her hip she slides the book around and takes it into her hand. A rough and horrendous looking thing, embossed with what looks like a face on its cover. It opens and she flips through the slightly orange and ragged looking pages, that appear to have the consistency of leather.

The girl would begin to speak out loud, in a prideful and bolstered recount from the pages:

"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas. Omnis incursio infernalis adversii omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, draco maledicte, ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire. Te rogamus. Audi nos."

It all flows naturally as if she'd spoken it often, roaring through the silence to an inexistent audience. A few seconds roll by after, in a dead silence. "Like I thought, what a waste of time." Illi remarks limply with a tint of irritation as she turns to a scowl, folding the book with a clap of her hands and tucking it back to her right side. Her hands clamp down on her polearm and drop the blade low after she rips it from the mud. The snap of a twig sees her attention jerk toward it, but they lock on nothing. "Show yourself, vile demon!" Illisandra shrieks toward @Freya as a thick film of red oozes from the scythe and her open left palm which had since twisted into a rigid curl like a claw.

Pouncing back and forth between the trees, leaving the girl bouncing from trunk to top to ground and back. About as agile as one could expect a person to be, yet the girl always seemed to 'land' on all fours, if you could call it that. The chirps and sounds from her convey that she was more then enjoying it as well, as she slams into a body of water without even the slightest hesitation. A splash as she basically belly flops in, sending a wave of water in tremors and ripples that cause all the fish to scatter. A few moments beneath that muddy murky water layered with algae would almost convince onlookers that she'd drowned. But the surface breaks to reveal a very damp Lucia, who clambers out with a fish stuck in her teeth like a dog with a stick dragging it by the tail. Paddling her way toward the shore, she'd slap her hands into the mud and slide out butt first and hoist the fish onto land. The thing almost dwarfed her, and she'd scan it with a excited glow to her eyes.

"Beeg fish. Beegest fish" Majineko swells before violently jerking her body to spray water all about. Her hair becomes fuzzed and frizzy, yet it doesn't hamper her joy. A lift of her right arm, she licks her wrist and starts to 'cow lick' her hair back into place. It takes her a decent chunk of time, meanwhile the fish continues to flop around trying to pry itself out of the mud and back into where it came from. "Nyo nyu don't" The girl squirms as she lifts both hands from the mud. A pair of thin claws spring forth from her fingertips, a slight polished black like metal gleams. A quick rake of both hands in a cross pattern see the thing clipped and carved to filets. Lucia had contemplated just downing it whole, but something of this size would likely just cause her to choke and gag. Lessons from a hotdog. Plucking up a single mud covered bit of sushi, she parks her butt in the filth and starts to chow down. The mud that covered it offered no deterrence, it actually offered a welcome texture change to Lucia. "Mmm goowd gwitty" she extrudes fighting her way past the scaly bits, and fishing a chunk of bone out of her gullet that is whisked with a limp toss back into the water.

Her eyes catch another player just across the pond, holding a fishing pole that had likely witnessed this whole exchange. Majineko's hand fires straight up, sending a stream of water off to her side as it does as well as a flick of mud as her arm starts to flap around. "hai, hi, hi there." the volume grows louder as she starts to flail around and attempt to catch @Enya's attention, completely excited and proud of her catch and totally riding that high as she beckons for the new friend to acknowledge her.

The girl huffs in a strain, not entirely being the most physically capable. Larger wooden boxes with flat bottoms that damn near dwarfed her are gathered from her inventory in a clatter, before being plucked up and added together in a longer flat surface. Meticulous shifts of these platforms to narrowly close any seams, to prevent the possibility of face planting when a foot caught them. A large white cloth cover is removed, and dragged across them all and pulled taught before being tucked underneath them. A makeshift stage, crafted out of basically nothing for the low low price of free. It would suffice to serve the purpose that CC needed it to, giving her a place to practice away from prying eyes that wouldn't likely draw unwanted attention. CC flicks her right arm to the side, orchestrating her HUD open and perusing the buttons with taps of her finger like a phone screen. It opens and starts to allow the escape of her curated instruments that come out with the stands first. Each are moved to spaces upon that stage, taking positions that the girl found most comforting and familiar.

Assembling the drumkit, leaning the cherry red bass against its stand. The black and gold trim 57 Les Paul custom figure eight cutaway that was her pride and joy, her best friend and ally in both this world and out. The microphone the last, taking center stage waiting for its use. To the guitar, the woman leans down and grabs the brown leather strap. Hoisting it over her head and resting it on her left shoulder, the thing droops secured around her waist. A tap on the body sees a stone glow gently, in a mimicry of an amplifier without a cord as a way to recreate her onus in Aincrad. A strum against the strings fills the cavern with sound, proving the acoustic surroundings were adequately picked out. A twist of the knobs on the head sees the tuning adjusted, as the strings are tightened by a half turn or less.

Another strum confirms the proper sound, a musicians ear catching the proper tone. Down the length of the strings, it is left limp and resounding as the girl plucks free two more performance recordings and sets them near the other instruments with no author. For adequate replacements in here had yet to be found. To the microphone CC returns, inhaling and exhaling in a sharp release. Shoring up herself for a good rehearsal she begins to play, striking the strings into a frenzy to an audience of none. Vocals that come out in perfect recount of the music she was covering, melding the worlds together for but a brief instant. What lasts for minutes feels like seconds, and within that time CC discovers her own happiness and recalls her adoring fanbase shrieking from a dimly lit venue. Yet within that dark it becomes clear that some of that clapping was real, and a squint sees her find @Shiina clapping aggressively. Where did you come from? The thought races through her head but the girl begs for another, and it was a musicians call to oblige.

A giant of a man clad in a metallic suit of plate armor. From that armor protrudes all manner of sharp ends and points, eluding to how troublesome attacks made against him must be. Those jagged edges also portray his manner of combat, using his body where most would utilize a weapon. The endless bog seems rather uninviting to say the least, as stagnant pools glint vaguely under undercast skies. The woods themselves provide little solace, and the stagnant stench was unpleasant and abrasive to the senses. "THIS SMELLS LIKE BUTTCHEEKS. THE RAZOR IS DISCOURAGED FROM PROCEEDING." The man booms immediately as he steps from the warp pad, a large foot falling into a puddle with a heavy splash. The metallic visage tilts down, allowing him to inspect the transgressor through the slit in that mask. His eyes narrow, and without warning he leans down and slams his hand into the puddle.

Those around him stand bewildered and befuddled as he thrusts his fist a few times for good measure, actively decking an inanimate puddle until he is convinced. "DO NOT SPEW AT THE RAZOR SMALL BODY OF WATER." Satisfied that his 'enemy' was pummeled to stillness, the man pulls himself free from the thing and immediately steps in another. Onlookers start to snicker and crack smiles as the dude continues to beat helpless sections of still water to death, flabbergasted as to why the man had reached the conclusion that normal weather was attacking him. This would go on for quite a few steps until it finally dawns on him. "THE RAZOR IS EMBARRASSED, PUDDLES ARE NOT ENEMIES. BUT IF THEY WERE, THE RAZOR CLEARLY WON." Into the small tavern just off the beaten road and docks, the Razor would see himself inside. A heavy fist covered in moss slams onto a wooden counter. A barkeeper reluctantly approaches with a rag, lapping up the oozing smell that poured itself out of the mans gauntlets.

"THE RAZOR IS FAMISHED FROM ALL THIS PUMMELING, THE RAZOR REQUESTS PROTEIN." A horrid shout that breaks the aura of the room, causing the barkeeper to jolt in a twist in atmosphere. One jump scare aside, the woman behind the counter slinks away trying to translate the request into something actionable. After 10 minutes of uncomfortable silence, save the Razor whistling poorly through a helmet causing it to echo. The woman returns, with a hot plate of cooked poultry upon a tin platter. "GOOD, THE RAZOR APPROVES OF YOUR CULINARY CHOICES. A MEAL BEFITTING THE RAZOR." Without a moment between, the man drops a small sack of silver coins on the counter top and with the same motion slams the metal plate into the front of his helmet sending a spray across the tavern floor. Some of the food manages through the slots in his helmet, maybe about 60% actually makes it. The rest creates a horrid mess all over the floor causing @Khione who was walking by to slip on it and go ass over tea kettle. The man turns and chuckles. "THE RAZOR FINDS YOUR FALL HUMEROUS."

The punch of steam escapes the device around his arm, sending a spray of white in a mechanical whir. Inside its body held a vial under heavy pressure, being separated and boiled down to its components at different temperatures to discern its make up. The readings pour in as they are etched to a slip of paper, being scratched via a sliding piston like a typewriter. Tearing the sheet, he lifts the paper to his eyes as the slits acting pupils in his mask close and increase in magnification. "Sulfur, Carbon, Phosphorous?" The man thinks perusing the reading under the dim lighting. An interesting find for a source of phosphorus, given it was a rare compound to actually discover. The inquisitive man checks his map and makes a note to record the coordinate, penning it onto a book from a bandolier pocket with a quick scratch. This was but one of many discoveries yet to have, as there were more sections of the floor to comb over.

The eyes on his mask widen, the shutter like pupils operate like the lens on a camera. The ragged cover of black fabric is corrected, as the vial in his device is emptied and it is slid shut. Under his leather sleeve, his arms disappear under that covering, and with heavy boots the man starts to move. A click of a pocket watch from his jacket pocket confirms the time, keeping his schedule down to the second. Toward the northeastern portion of the disk that composed this floor, another odd looking bog was his target. This one was filled with a faint pinkish red algae that held promise or at the very least curiosity. The trek was quite long, wading through pools of water and across sticky trenches. A half an hour passes by as he reaches the place.

Into a pocket on his belt, the man removes a brass metal sphere. Winding a turnkey on its top a few turns, the man thrusts the sphere to the ground before it unfurls onto a tripod and begins to suck up some of the water. The repeated sprays of vaporized moisture as the stuff is concentrated within that orb of metal, getting a more accurate reading of what it contained as well. The diagnostic leaves Vitreous to start to comb the area around, checking for any oddities or other curios while he'd wait. Finding a bit of a obscure figure through the woodwork, the man draws a blade from his sleeve. A thin grey robe on its back, Vitreous rounds and sizes his mark in a wide birth around it. The figure turns and the crow scans it, finding the fact that it was hard to find any real distinguishing features on this body to be a bit unsettling. It was like looking into a mirror. It seems to look directly at him, but the hood leaves much to the imagination. The thing would raise an arm and point off toward the south, clearly conveying it knew he was hiding nearby and trying to show him something.
