Minako's breath hung in the air as she rubbed her gloved hands together. The snow covered lands of floor four made for an interesting contest, at least in comparison to Kindling's fire infused floor four floors up. She couldn't help but wonder how he was doing? Were the contestants behaving? It didn't really matter too much, she knew that he could handle himself. After all, he was going to be the one who saved everyone. And if that was the case, he could handle a few rowdy people here and there. Putting her own mind at ease, she stepped closer to the edge of the ice and snow filled pit. It was a small section of packed down snow, surrounded by a poles and ropes to separate the various people sitting in attendance. The show had only grown larger at this point, with the crowd outsizing the quaint arena. Fans who had found their favorite champion had begun to follow them from floor to floor and getting choice seating so they could see the contest all that much clearly. Fans of every person where here, placing their own bets with each other, and cheering and jeering each other.
Minako stepped out, nearly sliding and falling over. Catching herself and playing it off for show caused the crowd to laugh and give polite applause as she adjusted herself before speaking. "Good evening everyone! I'm so happy that everyone here was able to brave the cold and come out this evening!" She said, thanking everyone. "And everyone, be sure to enjoy your complementary Kindling Hand Warmers! Make sure that if it gets too cold you let anyone of the Fans know and they'll take care of you!" She said, motioning for he crew of die hard fans to wave their arms and alert the crowd. Last thing she wanted was someone getting frostbite who wasn't meant to.
"For our match this evening, in this corner we have the wonderful Katoka!" Minako said, introducing the woman. "And in this corner, we have someone who might feel at home with all this cold! It's Wulfrin!" She said introducing him. "Alright combatants, same rules as last time! And-"
"Clash!"

Welcome to the Sixth week of Clash of Blades - Fire and Ice! This week's thematic is fairly simple; you're worrying about the cold! You'll be under the effect of Frostbite which is tied to your energy! You'll gain 1 slot of Frost Aura and Frost Thorns, and gain Vulnerability (Take 16 unmitigatable damage when struck with a Sword Art). When missing 30 or more energy, double the previous effects!
There has been several changes from last week, so please be sure to have the Informational at the ready!
Another soft reminder to NOT use outside items. Please use only the items purchased in the Event Shop.Spoiler- Please remember to LINK your Spreadsheet, and triple check that all your stats are correct. Failure to do so before the actual combat begins will result in a loss by default. Going forward, we will be taking a much more hardline stance on this rule. The reason for that is out of respect for the time and energy of the hosts, and your fellow participants.

Good Morning Challengers! Your weekly matches have been drawn up, and then separated between Hosts @Minako and @Kindling. Your host will be the one who posts the thread to introduce your fight, and give some flavor casting throughout the combat. Use this opportunity to understand who your opponent is, and plan accordingly either through your own build, and through consumables purchasable in the Weekly Shop. Remember! No outside consumables are allowed in these fights. Only those purchased at the Weekly Shop.
Your matchups host will be who starts your thread, and is primarily responsible for mediation, as well as for adding casting flavor to your fight!

Minako rubbed her head, still feeling the awful aftereffects of floor 29. Last weeks games were a messy blur, and she couldn't remember much other than who won which bout. Regardless, she had her partner to thank for keeping her in check, and to help with the strange after-effects. Kindling was growing to be more and more of a prominent part of her life, and one she was thankful to have. She couldn't have asked for a better showmen, nor partner. She smiled as she tried on her simple gown. It was cinched at the waist by a beautiful bet of gold. Decorated with golden finery, it stood brightly out against the gold and red sash she worse draped over her shoulders. The entire ensemble commanded strength, resolve, and respect. Truly, a noble among the NPC rabble that dashed along to make sure that the 'games' were running smoothly.
The arena itself was simple, very much like the first week. A small clearing, free of grass, stone, and roots. It's long oblong shape gave people plenty of room to move around. Stands surrounded the arena, letting NPC's and PC's find decent seating to get a decent angle on the coming fights. At the far end, was a pedestal where Minako and Kindling were to be. Flanked by guards, and decorated by columns the pair stood almost as tall as royalty. "Ladies, and gentlemen of the land! We gather here today for a monumentous occasion. The Clash of Blades has grown to quite the showing, and stretching from the humble Town of Beginnings to now at the base of Olympia. When Kindling and I started this event, we had no idea it would evolve into something of this grand, and for that we thank you, the participants, and the gods themselves!" As she spoke, lightning rang from the heavens striking a nearby brazier. It alit in a sea of dancing flame that tossed and turned in the slight breeze. "And it would seem that indeed we do have the blessing of the gods! Who knows what this may bring?" She shouted, meeting the cheers with a large smile.
"Up next is, the man. The myth. The legend! IT's, Morningstar!" The crowd cheered, yelling through cones to amplify their voice. "And over here we have the woman who stood strong her first week, and has been strong as any frontliner! Make noise for Acanthus!" Minako shouted, fans of Acanthus worse shirts with her on them striking a dashing pose.
As the fighters entered the arena, they would notice that they're HP totals would double, the green bar extending slightly and filling up. "Now then fighters-" Minako said, raising a hand. The crowd began to go wild, with cheering, stomping, clapping, hollering, and making noise. Minako dropped her hand, signaling the start of the match.
"Clash!"

"And over in this corner we have the man who is hungry for the win! It's, Kiyabu!" Minako shouted. Kiaybus fans, mostly women, swooned and cheered for him. Presenting banners of his likeness, alongside flags waved in support.

"A man who has started this competition fairly slowly, but is quickly climbing up with win after win! Will he continue his win streak and prove that it's not his luck? It's Oscar!" The crowd cheered, a few fans sporting Hot Dog sticks they beat together to create more noise. "And over here we have a man who's destiny has yet to be defined. Perhaps, we will know in due time, it's Koga!" Minako shouted, fans of Koga were sparse and few between, sporting small flags with a 'K' emblazoned upon them.
"Clash!"

Welcome to the Fifth week of Clash of Blades - Heroes of Olympia! This week's thematic is fairly simple; The Event Shop has some Greek-Myth inspired armaments and items, and whatever your HP is after calculations - Double it.
There has been several changes from last week, so please be sure to have the Informational at the ready!
Another soft reminder to NOT use outside items. Please use only the items purchased in the Event Shop.Spoiler- Please remember to LINK your Spreadsheet, and triple check that your stats are correct. Failure to do so before the actual combat begins will result in a loss by default. Going forward, we will be taking a much more hardline stance on this rule. The reason for that is out of respect for the time and energy of the hosts, and your fellow participants.
- TECH-A is disbaled this week, and cannot be used. Get your stuns and CC somewhere else!

Minako stood high above the small arena. It was a town square repurposed into a place where people could fight. Instead of the usual crowd that gave out cheers and fans that showed support there was no one around. Inside this ghost town there was not a living soul, save their own. She stood on a balcony to a long abandoned town hall alongside her co host Kindling, and despite everything that had happened before she was nervous and it was showing. "L-ladies and gentlemen!" Minako stammered out. "It is with, a great pleasure, to introduce today's most gracious host!" She called out to no one but the participants. Behind the building, lighting flashed in the storm clouds above, briefly revealing a shape within them. "Our wonderful benefactor for this evening, Emrakul." Minako said as it descended from the sky. A mass of tentacle and carapace descended from the clouds, unimaginable horror that couldn't be described. It spoke in loud combination of voices, directly into everyone's mind.

Minako reached into her pocket and produced a whistle. Blowing a it a loud piercing noise echoed within the small chamber they were allowed to use. Minako raised a hand, revealing to be holding a small red flag. "Illegal usage of buffing. NIGHT." Minako said, calling out the competitor. Perhaps her emotions got the better of her, or perhaps she was simply tired of the fight all together. Regardless, it was no excuse for her actions. Kindling would need to be informed, and NIGHT closely monitored to make sure that things went smoothly from here on out. But now what to do?
Minako motioned her head, and three men dressed in white coats came out. "Minako-san!" They cried out in unison. She pointed to Telrenya. Two men ran up to her, and picked her up by her ankles and under her arms. "Take miss Telrenya back to the infirmary and make sure she's okay. And as for you, Miss NIGHT." She said, pointing at the woman. "You shall be disqualified this round, and ejected from this match." She said, the third of Minako's goons stepping up to escort her off of the field. "Now for you two, miss Kiru and miss Lessa. Please, continue your fight." She said, taking her seat once more.

Good Morning Challengers! Your weekly matches have been drawn up, and then separated between Hosts @Minako and I, @Kindling. Your host will be the one who posts the thread to introduce your fight, and give some flavor casting throughout the combat. With the drawn up matches, your Weekly Clash Shop has been rolled and assigned.

She was back in her seat, her minions cleared the field, and her two entertainers stood a bit taller. After about fifteen minutes of fighting, both fighters were on the brink of collapsing, trading blow for blow. Where Jomei attacked, Acanthus answered. Minako's eyes shone in the setting sun, this was what she wanted. A duel to transcend this digital prison. This event would bring out the best in these figters, and this duel proved it. She let out a large grin, knowing that giving them energy would only placate them into one final strike. And what a better time to have it happen? Two warriors standing across each other, on their last leg, ready to throw it all in just to see who was a little better.
She nervously raised her hand to her mouth to whistle, to start the match. She dare not to blink, lest she miss anything. After a tentative holding of her breath, she whistled. In nearly a blur, both Acanthus and Jomei went for each other at blinding speed. Both stood on the other side of each other, Minako looked on trying to determine who might've won. Acanthus was the first to waiver, her leg going out and falling to one knee. Minako raised a hand, letting out another whistle to close out the fight. "The winner! Is Jomei!" She said, to the largest smattering of applause that they had this day.

From Floor one, to floor eleven, it was time to move to a different floor that didn't have a one in it. A faraway place, where the caravan camels roam. Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face, it's barbaric. And it was perfect for them. Floor five was a far cry from the moderately temperate places they were hosting the previous two weeks. The sand was an obstacle itself, with it being rough, and coarse, and irritating. And it was sure to get everywhere. Minako didn't mind the sand, or the heat. She always viewed it as a beach rather than a massive desert the lack of humidity notwithstanding. She sat in what could only be described as an opulent lawn chair, alongside her co-host Kindling. Her entourage stood beside them, dressed in white and held comically large leaf's that were being used to fan them.
The arena itself was more or less a sand filled pit, surrounded by walls that shaded the spectators with some shade with large fabric banners. The crowd itself was much, much, larger than the last two weeks. A combination of it being a lower floor and becoming quite popular may have been the culprit. But who actually knew? Well over a hundred had arrived today to see the blood sport, and see what pleasant surprises were in store. It was time for the show to start. Minako stood from her chair, dressed in regal attire of light pink and purple silks. She gave a sly wink to her co-host as she approached the edge of her viewing platform.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" She cried out to the crowd, her voice being amplified once again by the tool she held. "Today we bring entertainment that few have seen before! Combatants from all across the world are here to fight for your entertainment, for honor and love, and for glory in victory." She said, the crowd going wild with cheers and stomping. As the crowds cheers dulled down she spoke again. "We have two special combatants here with us! Each with a unique fighting style and indomitable spirit!" Minako cried out over the crowd.
Minako raised her left arm, a portcullis slowly began to open revealing the first fighter. Wulfrin was the first out. "The perfect man around if you need to beat the heat! A man with steel in his bones and ice water in his veins! He's cold and quick as death itself. You know him, you love him, it's WULFRIN!" She said, letting the crowd cheer for him. Boots stomped as the crowd began to chant his name. Solid black banners, with a ice blue water texture waved for him as his fans cheers for him. Minako raised her other hand, and as the portcullis opened she announced. "And in the other side of the arena, a rising star taking that first step into the big leagues. The man from the shadows themselves, give it up for Kiyabu!" Minako said, as he was allowed to jaunt into the arena. Fans sporting dark purple and black pennants waved them back and forth to support their undying love to him. "Wulfrin is on a hot streak! Will the young upcomer be able to dethrone him?" Minako asked the crowd as they cheered and cried out.
"Combatants." Minako said in a practiced tone. "You are allowed to trade your words of sportsmanship, or wish for the blood of their enemy. And then, watch your footing." She reminded them with a devious smirk, if anyone was close enough to see her, they would've caught her winking again. Alas, she settled for simply raising her hand. "On my mark. Get ready..." Then the counter began from there. They'd be given just those few moments to mentally prepare themselves for the third week of the competition.

His first round certainly saw him get cold feet and yet go out with a bang! Will this week leave him with any more luck? It's Morningstar!" She cried out, letting the fans stomp their feet and cheer in admiration for the man. His fans could be spotted waving bright red pennants, with a bright golden sun in center. "And who shall he face today?" Minako teased. "Why, none other than his partner of last week! It's Hirru!" Minako cried out as the crowd cheered equally as much, waving flags of bright green. "Both suffered humiliating defeat in their first round, and only one here today will win! But who shall it be? Crowd, your thoughts?" She posed the question to the crowd and let them go wild with cheers, whistles, and stomping.

Minako raised her left arm, a portcullis slowly began to open revealing the first fighter. She was safe at this distance, complete with a anti-hot dog screen she had placed moments before this match. He would not get a third. "A man with an insatiable lust for victory, and has yet to achieve it it's Oscar!" She said, letting the crowd cheer for him. In the crowd a few people could be seen wearing hot dog hats and waving pennants of light red, dark red, and yellow. "Perhaps the Weenier Warrior will prove that third time is the charm!" She said, as she raised another hand. "And his opponent? It's none other than the Cerulean Storm! It's Kiru!" She said, allowing her to take her spot in the arena below. The crowd cheered and hollered for her as they slammed bright blue and black tubes together to make even more noise.

"Our first fighter is familiar to our ring with an early win! And familiar to our opponent as well. It's the Emerald Duelist! It's JOOOOOOOOOOOOMEEEEEI!" Minako cried out letting the thundering stomps and deafening cheers wash over him. In the crowd there was a few green banners and streamers, it would seem that Jomei had a few fans here to watch. Minako raised her other hand, the opposite portcullis slowly opened revealing the other fighter. "And his opponent? One who knows him quite well, much better than the rest of us ever could!" She said, the crowd erupting in woo's and cheers. Various gold with silver trim banners and hand flags waved as her own fans came to cheer her on. "A woman once betrothed now finds herself standing against him! It's none other than the Troubled Treasure! It's TELLLLLLLLLRENYAAAAAAAA!" A quick clash between blades, the namesake of this tournament. A quick exchange of words, of morals, of wits! NIGHT moved with blinding speed expected of an experience front liner. NIGHT knocked the wind from Kiyaba, and proceeded to show him a mostly one sided beat down. Eventually, leading to Kiyabu's surrender. It wasn't quite what she was expecting. All the excitement that he carried, all that celebrating he called out to, for what? She wasn't upset, just disappointed that he would rather surrender than fight tooth and nail. Minako stood from her spot, raising a hand. "The winner, is NIGHT!"

A week had past since the last duels had concluded. Thanks to some prominent connections with another player who lived on this floor, they were able to rent the space they were using. And with him being a cook, they were also able to make sure that everyone was able to get something cute and romantic to have before fighting began. They had set up inside of the Grand Cathedral in Taft on the eleventh floor, the most romantic spot that they could properly get their hands on that wasn't a beach, or restaurant. Tables had been set up so each person would be able to have private conversations to their partner about whatever they so wished, consume their food, and have enough time to form a battle plan before their fight began.
Her next fight on her itinerary was one that may would have the potential to be absolutely hilarious. Hirru and Morningstar were going to be up against Oscar and Vigilon. Minako thought of the latter team up and smirked at the thought of the straight laced Vigilon trying to work with the class clown that was Oscar. Perhaps it would work in their favor? Regardless Minako gripped her announcement rock and greeted the crowd again. "Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! Tonight we have quite the bout for you! On this side of the arena we have a duo who have seen better days since their debut last week! It's Hirru and Morningstaaaar!" Minako said letting the crowd's cheers wash over them "Despite their loses last week, they seem more determined than ever to win this week, perhaps even looking to settle the score!" Minako said, moving over to the other side of the arena. "And in this side of the arena we have the Weenier Warrior and the The Self Described Dragon! It's Oscar and Vigiloooooon!" Minako said letting whoops and hollers cover them.
As she had done last week she mentioned for each time to come closer so she could speak to them. "Alright you guys, it's time. We ready? We had a really good show last week, lets give the crowd something like that again." She looked over at Oscar. 'But maybe, a little less than last time?" She said, tilting her head to the side and back. "While we're here, I'll go over the rules one more time..."

Welcome to the second week of Clash of Blades - Doubles! There has been several changes from last week, so please be sure to have the Informational at the ready!
Another soft reminder to NOT use outside items. Please use only the items purchased in the Event Shop.Spoiler- First, character set up! A lot of sheets and stats were hidden from us last week which made policing stats and checking numbers difficult at times as we had to reach out or sometimes use guesswork to determine what happened. This week, and for all other weeks, we are requiring you to link your Clash of Blades stat sheet in your opening post. Failure to do so could potentially result in a forfeit, and loss on your record.
- Second, initiative has been altered! Each player will get 1 initiative roll each. The player with the highest roll will act first. Then whoever on the other team has the highest roll will go second. Then the other two will go off, alternating between teams. Following an ABAB pattern. Example:
SpoilerKindling and Minako are on Team A
Alkor and Zelrius are on Team BKindling rolls a 17, Minako a 6, Alkor a 15, and Zelrius a 7.
Kindling won, and goes first, followed by Alkor who rolled the highest on his team. Minako next, followed by Zelrius. In addition to the turn order, we are no longer allowing people to reuse their initiative rolls for combat. If you are the last roll, and win the initiative we will allow you to use the same post but not the same roll. You will need to re-roll to attack.
- Third, please make mention of your dinner date! This is Valentine's Day after all! No matter how awkward it may have been or romantic it is please lean into these themes and Role-Play to your hearts content. ~♥
Minako sent each team back to their spots, and got into position herself. "Now then combatants, Let's Clash!"

The first fight Minako had to host was a favorite of hers. Lessa and Telrenya were paired up and had to face off against Kiru and NIGHT. The randomizer really had a way with fun for this week. Minako took center stage, a small stone in hand that would amplify her voice. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen." She said, addressing the crowd that arrived. It was slightly larger than last weeks, by a small margin at least. The promise of drama, and the performance of last weeks bouts seemed to have increased crowd numbers. "Tonight, is a very special evening. Valentine's Day. A day for when you, and that special someone get to spend a romantic evening together." She paused for a moment. "To watch some bloodspooooort!" She said loudly, getting the small crowd excited. "And for our first combatants we have none other than four of Aincrad's deadliest beauties! In this corner we have, the Guardian of Aincrad and the Troubled Treasure! It's Lessa and Telrenya!" Minako said letting the crowd hype them up. Minako moved over to the other side of the arena. "And on this side of the arena, we have a pair with shadows for eyes. It's Kiru and NIGHT!" Minako said, introducing that team to the crowd and having them get hyped up.
As she had previously Minako would wave each team over to the center to speak to them privately. "Alright you guys, I hope you're ready! It was a really good week last week and there's even more here now so be sure to be extra flashy." She said, nodding to each team. "That being said, let me go over the rules one more time alright..."

The White Rabbit. Minako looked up at the fairly large tavern. The outfit she wore was beginning to fail against the harsh winter of this floor. Why did she choose this floor for the tournament anyway? She crossed her arms across her chest and rubbed her upper arms for warmth. The party had already started, but she was waiting for someone to arrive. She shuddered as another gust blew though
the patio she was standing in. She had already seen a few participants go inside, and she gave each of them a little wave and smile before they disappeared into the warm interior. She could only just make out the sounds of laughter and merry making through the building's stone walls. She tapped her foot impatiently as she opened her menu. Still no message. Was she, getting stood up? No, they talked about this. Maybe, he had just forgotten? Another ping appeared. The sigh that left Minako hung in the air as her breath became visible in the cold. She closed her menu, and leaned against the stone wall. The stone was so cold that it seemed to sap the very warmth from her. He wasn't coming. Too busy with other things. He'd make it up to her. She bit her lip. No he wouldn't.
She felt like crying. She felt like no matter what she did, no one would stay with her for but a few moments. This entire 'thing' they had was going to end up superficial. It was only a matter of time. She had her fans, which she gave the night off they had already gone inside and began partying. But, he was different from them. They saw her and adored her because of her looks, because she was a famous person on the internet. But he didn't care about that. Or at least, that's what she thought. Was he just using her for this tournament of his? Her name and recognition to just artificially hype things up? Did he lie to her? She was mad now. Not just at the situation, but at herself. Mad that she let herself feel this way again. It never worked out, and it never would. She'd just have to accept that. She peered into the window beside her, the glass was frosted from the chilling winds outside but she could see her fans raising mugs of whatever and toasting. Like alcohol would actually work. She hated the taste of it anyway. She could see Less and Jomei chatting, good for them. She turned away from the window, and swallowed. This feeling wasn't going to get the best of her. It never did before, and it certainly wouldn't now!
Putting on a brave face, she walked to the door and opened it. The blast of warm air nearly knocked her off her feet as she stepped inside. "H-H-hi e-e-everyone!" She said, stammering slightly from the cold. "Guh-glad I c-could make it!" She said, a large smile beaming over her face. Three men dressed in white jumpsuits raised glasses, and cheered for her as she entered. She smiled to them, and gave them a polite wave. She chose to seat herself at the far end of the bar, not wanting to get between Lessa and Jomei who, if she recalled correctly, admitted their undying love for each other. It probably wasn't as serious as that, but the way Jomei was gawking at Lessa, it was probably true. Instead she would wait to be approached, as she attempted to order something warm to drink.
