  2. Ascalon withdrew his weapon from the woman's back. She collapsed backward, falling to the ground - frozen. His gaze shifted, away from Abellio and Lysette and down to the woman. Did he paralyze her or something? The man squatted down, resting his weapon against his shoulder. "I'm not gonna kill her, if that's what you're worried about. We just need to have a chat," Ascalon said, keeping his eyes trained on the woman. "About what?" Abellio's voice surprised him. It was a more hostile than he intended. Could he chalk it up to the adrenaline? "Don't worry about it," came Ascalon's
  3. Did they do something wrong? The bosses health bar was in the red and barely a blip left. Though, it had been a blip for several attacks now, and with Wulfrin's disabling strike, they would finally have the opportunity to do something without doing nothing. That feeling didn't really seemed to help too much though. What could one do with a boss that didn't want to die? There was a slight thought of doing something stupid again, but that wouldn't work. The boss didn't have a sense of self to even thing of doing such a thing. Also, he felt that certain people in the group would take it to
  4. Jomei didn’t know what to say, Oscar didn’t know what to expect. Seemed like they both had the same idea. But Oscar kept silent, letting Jomei piece the words together. As the ginger spoke, Oscar slowly sipped at his drink. There were a few times where he wanted to butt in, but he didn’t. It was a hard thing to be this upfront. Oscar preferred the “rip the band-aid off” approach, but sometimes it went a little sideways. He was glad this wasn’t one of those times. And he was glad that, at the end of it all, Jomei didn’t have any hard feelings. “None whatsoever,” came Oscar’s rep
  5. Oh, wait. It's next time now. Morningstar had withdrawn from Belregor's proximity. There was something about being within everyone else's strike range while waiting for his own sword arts to go off cooldown. It was for the best, moving away than to stay close to the giant, because Belregor started to sift through the waves of fighters, striking precise targets before taking wing. That was really bad. It was harder for everyone to hit Belregor while in the air, even if he was big enough not to miss. Arabelle ran past him. He watched her bound through air. How did she do that? Mor

  8. "Came in handy during the Clash." he would admit with a nod. "Went in with my old sword, pop out the other one when they least expected it." Arms rose and crossed at his chest as air puffed from his nostrils. "Honestly, haven't had the opportunity to use it outside of that. Next time I've gotta fill in for damage dealer, I'll remember to give it a few swings." Before business was pleasure, and pleasure, in this case, was a fully stocked bar. And no waiting in line. Sliding into one of the barstools, he'd sit and rest his elbows on the bar top. Eyes would slowly scan the various bot

  11. Warren had to admit, Kyra’s concerns were valid. Or would be valid if Oscar cared one whit about making that sort of power play. He couldn’t help himself. As the picture of the giant in a constable uniform ticketing some poor soul for jaywalking manifested in his head, he could only laugh. It was rude, he knew. But if Kyra could peer into his mind, he imagined she would laugh at the scene too. “I think you misunderstand,” he said, his voice colored by his laughter. “There’s really only one crime that the most prolific PKK in Aincrad cares about. It’s in the name, really.” He took a sip f

  14. Finding Dorian after leaving the dock behind was almost astonishingly easy. It was almost like a mayor should have a dedicated location and people in town would actually know what that location was, instead of just an almost random alchemist or blacksmith shop. Rey pushed into the town hall, and drew the attention of a receptionist right away. "Hi there, I'm here to talk to Mayor Dorian about a task he gave me?" The young man that was sitting at the table nodded once, then gestured to his side, where there was a large, open door leading into another room that looked like a study from her

  17. For a long moment Peter and Reytac stared at the chest that Rey had unearthed, and then the old fisherman nudged Rey, nodding his head towards it. He blinked, about to argue that this was supposed to be the stuff for Dorian, but Peter nodded again to it. With a shrug, Rey moved over and knelt by the chest to try opening it. The lock on it didn't look complicated, just a classic, old heavy lock. But Rey didn't have a key or even a pick. As he was trying to figure out what he should do, a salt-weathered hand holding a rock came into his field of view. "Here, lad, this might do the trick."
  18. The old man paused in the middle of hauling a large bag of netting materials off of the boat as Reytac hurried over to him. The net bag slumped onto the brined wood of the dock as he turned to face Rey, a wide smile stretching his weathered face above his long, white beard. Rey couldn't help but feel there was a strong similarity between all three of the NPCs he'd been talking to for this quest - minus Dorian - and wondered if they were brothers. "Ho there lad, what can I do for ye?" At least this one was more pleasant than Lyle had been - and was, for the first time in this quest, actua
  19. With time to kill, Reytac wandered over to a nearby tavern. Unsurprisingly, there were several near the water's edge, fitting what he knew of sailors. So he had his pick, but he just went to the closest one, to get something to munch on while he waited,. Their menu was simple and straight forward, and cheap - perfect for sailors just getting back to land. Rey sat and munched on some fried fish as he watched the people on the dock. It was oddly cathartic to just people watch, even if almost everyone he was watching was an NPC. There was the odd player or two scattered in there as well, bu
  20. It was actually surprisingly difficult to find out where the fisherman was. Or - not necessarily where the man was, but rather where he would be. Reytac had followed the quest icon - having remembered to turn on certain helpful features like health bars - to the edge of a dock. But the problem was, there was no one there, the edge of the dock was barren, no sign of a fisherman in sight. He rubbed the back of his head and looked around, but it didn't look like the man was anywhere nearby either, making his way to his designated spot. As he looked around he did spot another NPC with the ‘F
  21. It felt real.. It felt human... And therein lay the problem right? Because this place wasn't real. And could she even be considered such anymore? Accusations of being cancer on this place, or a monster aside - right now she was a consciousness, a dreamer. This place wasn't quite real. And each passing day it became more and more noticeable. The way a certain leaf would fall, following the same path as it did mere minutes before. The way crystalized pixels would appear every so often, from a skill or otherwise. Or the HUD, so long burned into her psyche that she'd almost
  22. oscar's presence had slipped past her. seeing him slide into view from the corner of her periphery almost made her jump, but night played her stagger off as a minor bout of elegant pacing. she nodded as oscar examined her suit, noting her attire in comparison to her friend's. "as you'd requested." "so where's your date?" he'd asked. relief rolled off night's shoulders as they drooped ever so slightly. so she hadn't misinterpreted his message, after all. there was a twinkle in her eyes, the reflection of the sun setting in the distance an implication of mischief, chicanery, the g
  23. Out Of Combat Post 3/3 - FULL EN~! Funny that...Mari was so incredibly angry earlier and a simple message seemed to put her at ease, was it the promise of a bath? Or the consoling words of a loved one? It was still odd...to have that. But it was so irrevocably heartwarming to know that someone was waiting for her when she got home. Even outside of Aincrad, even with her so called marriage in the real world the woman never had that. "Hah..." She exclaimed, a mix of bitterness bubbling up again and the feeling of success as she had yet again jammed her hand into the tree hole to pull out an
  24. Out Of Combat Post 2/3 Mari pocketed the first material then went in to fish out the other that she thought she felt in there, There was still a few hard things in the small tree hole. That either meant more materials, or something else. Luckily for the ginger haired woman...she pulled out another material. She pocketed that too. Mari went in to see what else she could fish from the small hole in the tree but paused when she got another message from Lancaster Lancaster --> Mari: I will run bath for you, let me return to you twice over Mari blinked, she had to read it a s
