  2. "I love this look. It makes it easier to see those eyes of yours." "Contrary to popular belief, I have two of them." He would playfully point to the two, olive green orbs with two fingers. A hand remained around the small of her back as the two opened up to speak with Oscar, flashing her a crooked brow as she swung her hips to accentuate her belts. How had Oscar put it? An absolute bombshell. And tonight, she was his. He was hers. "Pretty much said everything I could have." Jomei would remark to Oscar with a small laugh, "Everything you had told me you wanted this place to be.
  3. Leaves crunched beneath booted heels as Reytac strode through the dark forest. He had a small lantern hanging in his hand - he’d gone for a fun bit of horror aesthetic and found a hollowed out skull with a light glowing from within the open mouth. Possibly from the tenth floor, perhaps, but he wasn’t sure where exactly it had come from. Still, it was working, lighting up the vibrant red leaves that he was walking across. He hummed in appreciation as he looked up to see skeletons hanging from the branches around him, rattling in the wind like nightmarish windchimes. The whistling, howling wind

  6. "Heh, well. I guess I better start.." He would say before he felt her fingers upon his cheek. It caught the man off guard, as it was that gentle touch that conveyed something he needed. Something that he couldn't understand, but knew he wanted more of it. How long had it been since someone gave him this peace of mind. Hirru would've thought about it, but he would let himself nearly fall into that hand, if she had not taken them away. It left behind a warm flush behind, to which the heat would make his mask that much more uncomfortable. It took quite a bit of restraint to not take h

Arbalest | 白石、河原木 23/F | 5’7(1.7m) | Shiraishi Kawaragi Shiraishi, nicknamed Ishikawa(River Stone) by some of her closest friends, was born in Kyoto, Japan yet has spent most of her life living in the Kanagawa Prefecture in the city of Kamakura. She grew up without her mother who passed at too young an age from illness. In her single digit age, this grounded Shiraishi into reality. While she could still take day to day life rather lightly, her core values involved respecting the value of life and death. Time is short in life and she intends on not wasting it. Her father, a struggling wi
  9. The topic change seemed to pull Hirru out whatever funk he was in. In fact, he almost seemed more than glad to talk about how he acquired his profession, the NPCs and the wagons that came with it. Despite their predicament, Jevi could not help but smile at the man's apparent love for what he does.. and it sounded like he set off on a much more exciting adventure to get it all set up, rather than accepting some simple first floor quest. She tried to recall what she had to go through to earn the title of blacksmith as she slid open the lid to a slightly damaged barrel. Fruit, all different types
  10. "You both look stunning," Oscar corrected, tilting his head towards the pair. Oscar grabbed what might have been his fourth whiskey of the evening from the tray and dismissed the server with a nod. Turning his back to the crowd, he leaned against the railing - taking a small sip of his drink as he did. If only he'd had the forethought of finishing that drunk quest before opening up his establishment. But then again, a drunk host simply would not do this evening. Oscar didn't set out to do all of this for the praise, but hearing it come from two of his closest friends felt nice. Warmed his hear
  11. The blacksmith seemed to smile as she presented the piece she’d made, the small dagger in her palm little more than a handle, blade and leather wrap. It was nothing special, and yet somehow it felt precious to Nari in ways she couldn’t quite explain. She’d sharpened the edge as much as she could, ensuring it would be able to cut precisely against whatever it was used – though she doubted it would ever be a main weapon. She waited only long enough to get the approval of the blacksmith, before tucking blade and sheath away, and making her way from the shop itself. She’d had enough of the town, a

  13. The boar didn’t stop in its approach, even as her spear came up to greet it midway through its charge. Nari didn’t hesitate, didn’t hold back in her simplistic attack. She used the boar’s momentum against itself, allowing the creature to impale itself upon the spear’s upper haft, their momentum pausing only a split second before it shattered from existence. She continued onwards, her stride pausing only long enough for the creature to disappear. Whipping the spear back around and into a holding position, she turned back towards the town behind her, ready to leave the fields behind for the mome
  14. Another of the boars exploded into nothingness as Nari’s spear caught its side, barely leaving more than a scratch, and yet eradicating the thing’s existence with a simple measure of contact. She put no further thought into the matter, however, as she turned to face the final creature. It had slammed into her shield hard enough that she’d been worried it would dent the metal that protected her, but a quick glance down had confirmed no such major concern was required. Instead, the creature appeared to have riled itself up with the success of its strike – if one could call it success, her health
  15. Two of the boars fell beneath the continuous slashes and stabs of her blade, the spear reaching well beyond what their shorter snouts could hope to close upon. Nari was methodical in her movements, aiming for the areas that would allow her to do the most damage, with the least amount of suffering and pain. Digital pain, and likely non-existent, but pain nonetheless in her mind. As the pair exploded, she swore she could see a small recoil from the remaining two – a flicker of hope within her that they would chose to retreat, rather than recoup their efforts. Cardinal would be so kind. Nari
  16. She didn't look fine, but Hirru would not count out his friend's capabilities now. The simple fact that she could hold her own against the mobs on this floor AND protect a low level player, at the same time. He knew she was strong, always had been, but time had really shown how much he had missed. How long had it really been since they last ventured with each other? How.. "I'm gla.. wait wha.." She had given her own worries about the hunter and his own state of mind. Did he have an episode in front of her? What did she see, exactly? Did she see the water that he saw. Did she
  17. Reytac let out a self-deprecating snort. "I'll be a momentary distraction while it picks its teeth with me."Talking - helped. Kept him grounded in the here and now, not getting sucked into his own head with whatever was going on with this place. He swung his hammer around in an arc, water scattering off of it, before he let it fall onto his shoulder. "Sticking together is still probably a good idea though. This place messes with our heads, hard." He turned his attention back towards the door he'd burst through and gave a slight frown. "As for what I found... No weird abominations from ou
  18. The breath that pushed out her nose tried its best to keep steady, but shook nonetheless while her eyes darted across the deck. They strained against the low light, letting off a dim glow of yellow layered over their normal blue. Cardinal allowed this basic of mercys, her Night Vision sparing her all but the darkest reaches of shadow. Yet they found nothing. Where one abomination crept, she anticipated hundreds to swarm out at any moment, to overrun them. Perhaps that would explain the empty ship. Her eyes landed on a worn pair of boots, stopped at first, then walking towards her. She fol
  19. [MORNINGSTAR & WILLOW] — lvl 101 | tier 11 — Willow poked her head through a broken window. Shadows danced along the walls, cast by a lit wood stove near the back. Her heart raced. “If ghosts were real, this would be the place to find them.” “Ghosts are real,” Morningstar said firmly. The howling wind drove them inside. Fire crackled at the end of the room; the floorboards creaked and groaned with each step they took. Willow knelt close to the stove, soothing her icy fingers. “It’s ambient. Floor 29 has a similar effect. You can find lanterns in places where nobody liv
  20. It was already that time again. Typically, Az wasn't the type to indulge in these things, but lately, she felt nostalgic and gave in to her desire. Plus, this allowed her to let her mind go wild on decorations again and liven up her home. Despite the Estate being a bit empty, Az moved about and set up decorations. A Japanese-style house has a wall around it, an open garden, and a small pond. The main building is shaped in a corner, with a black roof and white walls. On the right side of the entrance sits a second part of the house, connected with a walkway. In the middle of the pond, you
  21. Reytac was right behind her, walking not quite in step with her as they boarded the boat. He'd wanted to agree, and possibly push them to get all the way out of this forsaken town, but his mouth hadn't bothered to open, words hadn't come from his lips. But at least it didn't seem like anything was going to attack them on the boat, as it seemed... Deserted? Rey blinked, salt water dripping from his lashes to join the rainwater running in rivulets down his face, and looked around. Who had docked the ship, dropped the anchor? "We should try to stay in ear shot while we find.. Whatever it is
