{{PP-PT-F29}} A Drink That Never Ends {On the House}
Reytac replied to Reytac's topic in Intermediate Floors
Reytac let out a self-deprecating snort. "I'll be a momentary distraction while it picks its teeth with me."Talking - helped. Kept him grounded in the here and now, not getting sucked into his own head with whatever was going on with this place. He swung his hammer around in an arc, water scattering off of it, before he let it fall onto his shoulder. "Sticking together is still probably a good idea though. This place messes with our heads, hard." He turned his attention back towards the door he'd burst through and gave a slight frown. "As for what I found... No weird abominations from ou -

The breath that pushed out her nose tried its best to keep steady, but shook nonetheless while her eyes darted across the deck. They strained against the low light, letting off a dim glow of yellow layered over their normal blue. Cardinal allowed this basic of mercys, her Night Vision sparing her all but the darkest reaches of shadow. Yet they found nothing. Where one abomination crept, she anticipated hundreds to swarm out at any moment, to overrun them. Perhaps that would explain the empty ship. Her eyes landed on a worn pair of boots, stopped at first, then walking towards her. She fol -
[MORNINGSTAR & WILLOW] — lvl 101 | tier 11 — Willow poked her head through a broken window. Shadows danced along the walls, cast by a lit wood stove near the back. Her heart raced. “If ghosts were real, this would be the place to find them.” “Ghosts are real,” Morningstar said firmly. The howling wind drove them inside. Fire crackled at the end of the room; the floorboards creaked and groaned with each step they took. Willow knelt close to the stove, soothing her icy fingers. “It’s ambient. Floor 29 has a similar effect. You can find lanterns in places where nobody liv

It was already that time again. Typically, Az wasn't the type to indulge in these things, but lately, she felt nostalgic and gave in to her desire. Plus, this allowed her to let her mind go wild on decorations again and liven up her home. Despite the Estate being a bit empty, Az moved about and set up decorations. A Japanese-style house has a wall around it, an open garden, and a small pond. The main building is shaped in a corner, with a black roof and white walls. On the right side of the entrance sits a second part of the house, connected with a walkway. In the middle of the pond, you

Reytac was right behind her, walking not quite in step with her as they boarded the boat. He'd wanted to agree, and possibly push them to get all the way out of this forsaken town, but his mouth hadn't bothered to open, words hadn't come from his lips. But at least it didn't seem like anything was going to attack them on the boat, as it seemed... Deserted? Rey blinked, salt water dripping from his lashes to join the rainwater running in rivulets down his face, and looked around. Who had docked the ship, dropped the anchor? "We should try to stay in ear shot while we find.. Whatever it is -

The frown on her face deepened a bit. He talked through the feeling, and his words about taking the wrong steps rang truer in her ears than she would have liked. She was quiet for a few moments longer, but as the hint of uncertainty hung in the air with his sentiment, she offered a small, audible agreement. ”No, I get it. I’ve been kind of getting that, too.” With little to do besides wait the last couple of minutes before the ship made it to the docks, Teion heaved a short sigh. ”Y’know, we don’t have to stay.” She pointed out. ”Not to stomp on all the fun we’re having,” The corner of he -
”Dirty, unclean? Hah, no. Corvids are smart crackers, and I've known the little guys to get under water spouts to get clean when they want to.” Reytac laughed. ”More, from what I've known, people don't like them because they're little kleptos, or seen as harbinger of bad fortune. They have a liking to picking up shiny bits and bobs. But even out in the physical world, they can be trained, and are known to form bonds with people - bringing humans who feed them little shiny rocks, or pieces of glass. The things that catch their eyes, y'know?” Little Cascade was wanting one herself, and ignoring

“I - wha?” Reytac tore his gaze from the oncoming ship that was cutting through the water towards them, his eyes bleary before he blinked twice, his gaze sharpening and focusing back in as he looked back to Teion, who was actually looking at him with some level of - worry, maybe, on her face? He shifted his grip on the wagon slightly and rubbed his eyes, then shook his head. Everything was foggy, only slightly less thick than the water in the air from the unending storm, even thinking was taking longer than he'd like. “I'm honestly not sure, Miss Teion. Constantly feels like something is w -
”Be quiet, meat-puppet!” A shrill voice snapped back. From a darkened edge of the cavern, wholly unclear whether they had been there the whole time or had just suddenly appeared, a trio of faeries flitted into view wearing sinister expressions. ”Oh! Hello!” Calcifer piped up immediately, shifting to the edge of her cage and wrapping her fingers around a couple of the stick-bars. She studied the appearance of the three faeries very briefly. ”Have you seen–” ”You may not ask me questions!!” The head of the trio shouted in a booming voice, zipping through the air to appear directly in f

The sun setting over the beach was an amazing sight, the rosy hues painting the sky as a cool breeze carried the salty spray of the sea over the area. Reytac looked again towards the map that he'd gotten towards one of the people participating in this event, though the motion was a bit stiff with the cosmetic outfit that he had on. Halloween was an amazing time of year for him, and one of his favorite holidays, and seeing the costumes that everyone wore, or the decorations that they put up, always filled him with a warm glee. And of course, he loved doing what he could himself, though he regre

And just like that I've walked right into an episode of Supernatural. Wulfrin sighed to himself as Astra broke the hastily crafted headstone. "No need sir," Wulfrin held up a hand and started manifesting his travel tool bag. "I should be more than capable of repairing your grave marker. I'll do my best to ensure it wont break again." It was a lot of pressure to work while being stared at by a spirit that could turn vengeful at any moment, but it didn't stop him from pulling out his tools and doing his best to resecure the marker. The wood was rotted with at least several years of wea

"I'm.." A twinge in her thigh, the culprit a splintered piece of wood jabbed into her leg. It hadn't done much to cause her any detrimental damage, nothing her natural battle healing couldn't take care of instantly. At this point it was just a thorn in her side.. literally. Reaching back behind her leg, she would wrap her fingers around the shrapnel and rip it from her person. All that remained was a bright red slit that slowly closed over time. "Fine. I'm fine." Her attention turned back to Hirru, "You sure you're alright, what happened back there? You just kinda.. froze for a minute."

"DPS is a common first choice," Wulfrin scribbled down some notes. "It also is a path I know well, considering it is also my specialty. A scout build can be figured out at a later date when you've got more SP to invest, it won't be too much of a build shift." The comments about his lack of adhering to the in game items were nothing he hadn't hear before, but he still let out a brief chuckle in response. "Yeah figured if I'm forced to live here, I might as well bring a bit of the world I'm comfortable with to Aincrad. Helps keep me a bit less on edge when I can take a break from the death

Wulfrin was unphased by the influx of accusations and bravado that the player who didn't even carry a blade or armor getting wrapped up in a tutorial quest presented. He'd seen it before, and honestly it always seemed to surprise him. The only time it came up was if a player wasn't keeping up with the progress of the floor teams. He'd given up counting the days that passed in the real world once he discovered Aincrad had its own time setting, which was pretty early on in their forced timeshare program. Instead he let the player rant and vent their frustrations before addressing each of the con -
How did she always end up this way? Perched against a tree; bottle in hand, buzzing in her head. Maybe Mari had an alcohol problem, maybe she should seek help, but what help would be offered to someone like her? Mari no longer cared, but she'd admit..the sweet succor of alcohol made Aincrad all the more easier to deal with. Jomei returned, not even half an hour after he had left to bring the little girl back to the so called safety of the town. Mari knew what lurked around the tall cathedral walls, the insidious concoctions and underhanded deals within. Perhaps...that's what allowed the girl

Why they wouldn't... There were tonnes of reasons; he didn't like people in his personal space, his social battery seemed to top out at 20% He had a short fuse when it came to ignorance....and he was once affiliated with less than stellar people. Mari was not ashamed of him, she was proud of him. He meant the world to her, he threw away everything for her. "He hash an orange curshur." Mari landed on the simplest of reasons. "Big events like -hic- this would make him umcoformtable, he tried to go to the crab boil for me but...It ended with him leaving." A wistful sigh fell from her lips,

He led her carefully through the room. One hand held hers as the other guided their path by pressing gently to the small of her back. He moved smoothly through the crowd, stopping perfectly when needed; just enough to avoid collision, but not enough to draw attention. The way he seemed to protect Vanta from the crowd as he led her away rose another strange feeling within her. He touched her, and she found that despite all odds, she didn't hate it. The thoughts began to pound in her mind, 'fight or flight' threatening to activate within the moments of her comfort. Was she allowed to feel t

The invite popped up in front of her. She had seen it happen to others before, but it was different when you received one of your own. She stared at it for a moment before pressing, 'accept.' He stole her attention away as his feet trudged forward. Does he know where to go? It wasn't as though the green haired woman had given them directions. She had simply handed them some 'Familiar Food,' or so she called it, and had sent them on their way. She shivered, stealing a quick glance back at the strange woman. She turned her attention back to Reytac, beginning to follow him loosely; walking a deli

"Heh, yeah. That it is.." He would reply to how shitty of a something the cart was, as they pushed on through the roads as best as they could. It felt like they were at it for too long, or was it not at all? Quests could take hours sometimes, depending on what it needed. Hopefully, it wouldn't take all day. Time and space was all over the place on this floor. That or the hunter was losing it. With how he had been lately, he figured it was the later. At least he knew he had a problem. They eventually found the pier, but there was not a ship in sight. This was going to make a

Request accepted. Jevi took a seat. Sliding into the stool beside Mari, she sat with one elbow propped on the bar and body facing towards the ginger. "Huh. Why's that? I mean, I don't see a reason why they wouldn't." Thankfully, the mask cast a shadow that obscured her eyes, or else the woman would have noticed Jevi giving her a once over. A very slow once over. "I mean, you look great." she reassured her with a tiny stammer, not that Mari needed any encouragement for her looks. "Mari" she repeated. As if trying to recall the melody of an old song. The name felt familiar on her tong
