  3. "Uh, right," Lessa croaked back, her voice strained. The heat seemed to clog her throat, making it difficult to breathe and even harder to speak. Before SAO, she had done a few sessions of hot yoga. The temperature had been over one hundred degrees, but this was nothing like that. In the studio, the humidity was just as high. She had still been able to breathe. What hung around her now was a cracked, dry heat. Closing her eyes momentarily, she did what Alkor had suggested. Breathe slow. Through your nose. Let your body adjust. It still bothered her, but she figured that there was nothing else
  4. Attention, ladies and gents: I will be out of the office until Sunday, November 2nd. Please direct all questions or concerns to other staff members, and excuse my delay in replying to RPs. Thank you!

  5. "Ohhh no," Lessa replied, wagging her finger at Alkor. "Remember what happened last time you took me material gathering? Biggest boss battle of my life." The golden haired girl grinned, then shook her head. "I suppose it doesn't matter what we set out to do, we always find ourself in combat. Which is fine by me." Watching Alkor equip himself reminded her to do the same. She brought up her map, and made a few selections. In a brilliant show of lights, her silver and pink armor appeared on her chest and hands. Her similarly colored claymore materialized on her back. She reached back and ran he

  7. "Dumb bug," Lessa called out, once again taking up the chase. The wind wasp buzzed angrily at her, clearly annoyed by her blade and her tendency to follow it. But the path that it flew was sporadic, and she knew it was having a difficult time staying in the air. She hurried after it, lifting her claymore to the ready position yet again. Truthfully, Lessa was pleased that she had encountered the insect. She had plans to craft its tough shell into armor, but she was unsure of whether it was possible or not. No way to know unless I try, the swordswoman thought to herself, taking another jab at
  8. She watched him work from the doorway, arms crossed against her chest, blue eyes focused on his fingers. Lessa was truly impressed by his skill, and more than a little bit surprised that he knew how to use a needle. She should have figured that Alkor would not half-ass anything, especially when it came to his profession. Despite that, had a difficult time comprehending what it was she was seeing. It makes sense, considering the armor he uses, her common sense reminded her. "Sorry you haven't seen more business," she replied, still watching his fingers move nimbly across the fabric. "Though
  9. "Mhmm, alright," she responded, nodding along as he spoke. But truthfully, her desire to go shopping had completely left her. The thought of having the the strong, battle-hardened Alkor sew her a sundress made her a bit uncomfortable. It was no fault of his, but she just had a difficult time seeing him in that role. At the same time, she knew that she would feel guilty going elsewhere. As he moved toward the doorway, the blonde followed closely. "Thanks for the information. I don't know a whole lot about this floor, but when I heard what it looked like, I figured it would be a great place to
  10. She knew that voice. When he finally turned to look at her, her stomach plummeted. She was right. It was Alkor. Her face flushed, not because she was unhappy or upset to see him, but because it was entirely unexpected. "Hi, Alkor," she replied gently. It had been weeks since she had seen him. The last thing she remembered was a tired boy standing in the doorway of the room he had bought her. When she had woken up, he was gone. A few times, she had considered messaging him to check in, but something always stopped her from sending the note. Their last engagement had been an emotional, and she
  11. It was her first time on the ninth floor. The large metal buildings towered over her, and she found herself a bit put-off by their appearance. They had very little character, and the mixture of metal and rock made her feel a bit like she was in a prison. She shuddered, but kept walking. Though this was a far cry from the sprawling meadows and warm colors that she was used to, she should still give the floor a chance. Lessa stared in wonder at the NPCs as they wandered about the village. Never before had she seen such interesting attire. The people seemed to be outfitted in chunks of metal,

  13. Lessa did not even notice the stranger attempting to get her attention from her lobby. She was focused entirely on crafting a perfect weapon for Rebekah. Unfortunately, it was proving to be more of a challenge than she had ever imagined. "Come on," she muttered through gritted teeth. She struck the glowing material a few more times, but was displeased with the result. "This is getting ridiculous," she growled. "I can't keep using Rebekah's items like this." {(136) Rolled a 7. +1 from Hammer of Dawn = 8. Good item. 1 material for Rebekah.}
  14. The wasp's wings flapped madly, pulling the creature a few paces away. It hovered there, moving up and down a bit, apparently attempting to regain some of its composure. She would not let that happen. "Come back," the woman growled, closing the distance between them in only a few steps. This time, she left her claymore pointing downward. Once she was close enough, she bent her knees and brought the blade in an upward arch. She sliced at the wasp's stinger with a soft grunt. The creature withdrew quickly, attempting to move away once again. Now, its path was jagged, and it seemed to be havi
  15. They had ventured out pretty far. Lessa hardly noticed the fact that they had put quite a bit of distance between themselves and the main city. Out here, the enemies were stronger. As if to prove her point, there was a sudden buzzing noise behind her. Lessa's song stopped mid-word, and she swung around to face the opponent. Apparently, she had ventured a bit to close to a wind wasp habitat. The hulking green and black insect hover directly behind her, the sun glistening off the tip of its stinger. Orion scampered off to a nearby crop of bushes, and Lessa drew her claymore. Her blue eyes na
  16. The warm sun beat down on the player and her familiar. The pair walked across the small meadow, the grass crunching pleasantly underfoot, and the soft hum of bugs floating to them from all directions. Lessa may have mistaken this place for her home, had it not been for the well-trained stoat that trotted beside her. In this warmer climate, Orion had traded his white fur for a light brown, and he looked like a whole new animal. But his frequent chattering and tendency to weave in between her feet revealed it was the same old beast that she had fed on the fourth floor. The pair had no particul

  18. Lessa frowned. The craft was not going nearly as well as she had hoped, and she was burning through her material quickly. She would need to buckle down and focus if she wanted to make Rebekah a perfect item. She bit her lower lip, studying her remaining materials. Then, with a sigh, she picked up the next one. No way to know if I'll improve unless I keep working. Much to her dismay, her next item was far from perfect. It was, however, a good item. A step in the right direction, in the very least. "I'll get there," she said aloud. {(112) Rolled a 6. +1 from Hammer of Dawn = 7. Good item
