  1. Morningstar was wondering the same thing. One after another, the revenants swarmed the party. The trio worked to keep them away from the mechanical constructs, but every time they cut one down, another would swiftly take its place. He dodged the rotting fist of an undead red cloak, narrowly evading its (probably disease ridden) claws. Ducking low, he lunged. The impact was immense as his punch found its mark, directly in the belly of the same revenant. It stumbled back, gasping and groaning but continuing its enthralled assault on the blonde. He arced his sword wide, narrowly missing any
  2. The old coordinate switcheroo--Morningstar's specialty. He recited the numbers in his head before typing in his own, nodding at Kali's comment. "Looks like Bistro and others are on their way over here. I'll meet you guys at snakes and ladders, if you do end up joining, and then I think I need dinner. Maybe we could all meetup for it?" He departed, taking a few wrong turns and completely missing Bistro along the way. He wasn't sure he was in the right place until an encouraging voice called out through the crowds. "Come one, come all! Try and see what fate has in store for you in the

He finished off a miniature platter of laddu, a dish put together by Agni, and wandered about, savoring the emptiness of the town's outer region. Music played in the distance, and fireworks tore up the sky w
  4. Morningstar thought about what he had in his inventory. "Some rope. A bit of wood, maybe. Night vision." Rubble sealed the greater part of the cave's entrance, keeping the farmers trapped somewhere deep within. He took a look at the largest of the boulders. Even if he were to remove his heavy armor, he wasn't sure he could squeeze past. "If we can move that big one, I think its safe enough for me to climb in," he lied. It was obviously not safe enough. Still, they had farmers to help out. Star's armor rematerialized as a pair of athletic pants and a t-shirt. If he was going in, he wa
  5. The gates opened, their enemy revealed. A mess of swords, spears, and the like stuck out of its mountainous body. They taunted the raid party—evidence that their efforts were in vain. Many had come before them; none lived to tell the tale. Morningstar thought back to the corpses that lined their path, their bodies shredded and mangled. Oh, how they had suffered. Rot claimed the beast's head, chest, arms, and shoulders. How far could it spread before it succumbed to whatever effects it caused? How long until the madness ran its course? They lacked the time to wait and see. O
  6. Star ignored the group chat while he made his next moves. He begun by moving six from the second row. Wulfrin and Firefly, who had suddenly joined in, took sides at random. "Check this out," he grinned, like a child who was about to start spinning. Wham. Three more crystals moved from row two, and another point scored. What did that mean? It was impossible to say. But it probably looked really cool. He stood from his seat. "That's it for me." To Kali, he spoke directly; however, the invitation was open to all. "I'll wait around for a bit and then go looking for some of the other
  7. One by one, his party filed in. Consumables were brought and shared. Kat asked about the other samurai. "Who--Baldur? I don't know him well. Visited his estate once for a party. I think he's a veteran or something." His serious expression turned to a smile. "Happy to fight with you again. I don't think we have since Wushen." Four of their six members had arrived. The addition of Koga and Astralin would complete the team. "Thanks for the food," he told Oscar. Last time, Freyd provided the majority of buffs for the group. Now, they were treated to a pre-game meal once more. "Not l

His hair was messy, hidden behind his coat hood. He crept in silently, his face solemn. A few others had come before him, but the raid parties were slow to gather. He eyed the participants. None he recognized from his own group. He fiddled with his equipment, contemplating whether he had b
  13. A surge of power coursed through Morningstar, courtesy of the Jade Hunter's buffing capabilities. He took charge, following Wulfrin's behest and considering the Phoenix's resurrection ability. One far sweep of his sword was enough to bring the mob's health bar to zero, if only for a fraction of a moment. It turned to dust, and the second passed while Ashborn readied itself. Star counted the seconds in between. Suddenly, it erupted into flames, returning to the form of a living, breathing bird. So close, and yet so far. That was the story of Star's life, really. The Phoenix was the sy
  14. The bat swooped at them, catching nothing but air on the way down. Morningstar stood in Firefly's path, and as their foe tried for another attack, he sliced through its frail body. His guard stayed up; he recalled that the cave housed two bats. His partner had clearly heard Koko, but Star couldn't make out where the girl was. "Which way?" He asked, peering in the dark through a green filter. Allowing her to take the lead, Morningstar kept his eyes on the ceiling. He scanned the area for the next giant bat, but saw nothing but rock. "If you can get to Koko, I'll keep watch," he told Firefl

Needless to say, he found himself fascinated with the reimagination of Ronbaru. All of the lights and colours astounded him—the stalls and pop-up shops did too. Across from Kali, he added his own message to the group chat. MS: th
