Appearing on floor 27 in the calm town of Ronbaru, Sam was starving. She had only been here a few times, some of the factions had amazing mouthwatering food. Glancing around, it was like a ghost town. Empty drawing boards and paper littered the sidewalks. Quickly she paces up to her destination, she was having a huge craving for steak that was filled with a thin layer of potato that was loaded with spices. When she made the request to Freya it was a hard pass, so now she comes to this large town for the crazy food. Her mouth started to water just from thinking about it. Stopping dead in her tr

The streets of Ordsea continued in a peaceful retelling of its own past. The raids long cleared and players had long moved on. Most didn't even come here anymore, finding that the various cities made the floor far too safe to need there direct intervention. There were bigger fish to fry, more rewards to gain elsewhere. The simplicity of its architecture, the relative calm left much to the imagination. What it failed to present outward was deceptive, for inside the walls of the homes that dotted its territory were all manner of convenience and regality. The shelves of stores were stocked to the

Pollux replied to Pollux's topic in Beginner Floors
When the light had melted away and her ears had stopped ringing, Yue Hua took a moment to pick her jaw off the floor. And realize that the bear had -- somehow -- survived all of that and was clinging to the last of its health. At that point, killing Kumatetsu was a mercy. Yue Hua rushed in and smacked it before Morningstar could have another go. The bear’s collapsed form fragmented and an update from their quest trackers informed the two of the conclusion of their first hunt. “One down!” Yue Hua cheered, returning her sword to its sheath. She fixed her ruffled hair and clothes then -

"A great teacher makes an environment that encourages learning." Ciela rattled off something she'd learned from a professor in college. Freyd replied to Mari's topic in Intermediate Floors
“You know…that’s probably one of the smartest things you’ve ever said to me.” About to object, Freyd’s lips parted to find no rebuke, no quip, nor sarcastic remark. He had nothing, because she was probably right, and the realization of it had left him flabbergasted. Grabby hands yanked back her two rescued wards, Mari cradling them like they were newborns, save the suckling went the other way around. Actual glee glowed behind her green eyes, made extra verdant with a sudden greed and hunger for their contents. Freyd saddled the casque up beside him, trying to set it in a way tha -

Morningstar replied to Pollux's topic in Beginner Floors
Morningstar didn't even need to direct Yue Hua--she was on the ball. She dove in first, entering with a clean display of sword-work. She completed it with a stun, creating an ideal state for Morningstar to swoop in after her. He followed her lead. Star procced Charge--a bit overkill considering its immovable state, but the chance to show off to his trackers came irregularly and he was a bit of a showoff at heart. The air boomed like a drum and Morningstar flashed forward. The tip of his blade touched the sky. When he drove it down, the birds abandoned their trees. The sleeping bear's -
The soft rustle of grass and a gentle breeze that would comb it down in sweep, sending them to shiver and spring jubilantly back up. A grove untouched by most in a realm long forgotten. A sacred garden from the lands before, a clocktower held steadfast in a reflection of another. Age, and time. History and fate, had prattled on like droplets in a vast sea. On the rim would you spot the ripples, after they had traveled for so long? Swarms of petals whisked aimlessly by like children racing home for supper, dancing with every step as they'd sway and then fall in a misguided sprinkle. Reds and bl

'Thank you, I shall certainly let you know!' Aoi's face lit into a small smile as she accepted the order, tucking it away for later use. [F29-PP] Not So Familiar <<Fatal Error: Act I>> EV
Freyd replied to Elora's topic in Intermediate Floors
Flappy-fluff squawked and took off, probably terrified by Reliq's distraught wails - or at least so he thought. Skipstones, by comparison, was getting frisky. There were sparks, and everything. And then fire. Oh. That was probably bad, right? Too distracted by the ill effects of his own antics, at first, his comrades efforts effectively dislodged the mimic's lapsing focus from its own plight by their efforts to actually deal with the problem. Brittle and raw, flesh sloughing off like shedding snake skin, Borris' efforts at nudging him along were also making him extremely ticklish. Regen -
Aoi shifted her eyes around the crowd, confirming no one else was approaching, before pushing past the nearest of players. She could see a few eyeing her as she approached the woman, and found herself not caring about their judgemental gazes. Reaching the woman – who at this point had collapsed to the ground in a desperate heap – Aoi knelt down, placing a hand upon the woman’s shoulder and looking into her eyes. ’What is it you need help with, miss?’ ’I’ve…I’ve been trying to find someone to help me…all day…My child-my daughter…‘ Tears seemed to well at the corner of the woman’s eyes, a

The path faded slowly beneath her feet, grass overtaking dirt until there was nothing but wild undergrowth and the sound of her own steps. The petals had stopped appearing some time ago, but she didn’t need them now. The pull in her chest was stronger than any trail. The forest broke open all at once. Hidden stepped into the clearing and felt her breath still. The meadow stretched wide beneath the orange sky, glowing in the late light. Flowers bloomed in every color — tall white lilies, violet clover, bursts of red and soft amber — all swaying together like the field itself was alive. The

Lessa replied to Freyd's topic in Intermediate Floors
Alyssa had always hated running. In elementary and middle school, she kept an old finger split in her locker, and popped it on whenever the mile run rolled around. "Sorry, gym teacher who is also the varsity women's soccer coach, I can't, I'm injured." When it came to high school, and she found out that participating in Track and Field would get her out of the P.E. requirement, she didn't hesitate. She really latched onto the track portion of Track and Field, because much to her delight, shot-putters didn't have to run. But you know who did have to run? Frontliners, apparently. Lessa -

Let There Be Light Aoi had found herself roaming the second floor after hearing it had been cleared and considered relatively safe. Even so, she’d taken care to prepare for her adventure onwards and upwards, marking a collection of items that she knew she would need in the future for occurrences just like this one. Unfortunately for her, the order hadn’t been filled prior to heading up onto the second floor – though she’d been told her current setup would more than work for what she had planned. ’It’s beautiful, but I’m not so sure it’s me, if you understand.’ Aoi smiled at the merc

Leaning against the counter listening as she takes a sip of the hot coffee. "I would of believed Lium if this memory wasn't shown to me by Nisahime." Setting the cup behind her, "That woman has not lied to us since we have known her." Thinking about everything Freyd had just told her. Freyd was leaning on the edge of cation which she was completely fine with, she would just have to start with the facts. "I did go to the monument after this memory was shown to me. Tak, Simon , and Luke were all killed by explosive maker of Hadgar. I got curious so I searched for his name too, Hadgar is also on

Leaving Taft always felt strange. Not dangerous — the floor had long since been cleared of anything that could harm her — but quiet in a way that was hard to put into words. The city behind her was still buzzing: bells ringing, stalls opening, players coming and going. But once she passed the gate, it all fell behind her like a closing door. The petals didn’t stop. They caught on low shrubs. Drifted between the trees. Danced across the path like they knew where she needed to be. She followed without forcing it, hands tucked into the folds of her cloak, steps light but unhurried. This wasn’t a

POST ACTION: DRINK ID: 244761 CD: 12 - FRUITY COCKTAIL “And fully agreed. [EV-PP-F29] Tactical Analysis: Not Good <<Fatal Error: Act 1>>
Morningstar replied to Freyd's topic in Intermediate Floors
Morningstar cursed the person who decided duplicating mobs was a brilliant idea. A knight (that hadn't existed moments ago) slammed into him from behind, knocking him to the ground. This one's health was already dipping into the yellow. Winnable. He groaned, ineffectually wiping mud and grime from his once-red jacket. He bit back, pushing himself up with the momentum gained by Charge and jetting his blade outward. At some point--maybe when the knight had begun to rewrite itself onto the surrounding Shamblers--he had separated from his group. The chaos was immeasurable, only amplified by t -

It had been about fifteen minutes since the bell tolling twice echoed across Taft. Long enough for the light to shift again — not by much, but just enough to change the way shadows fell across rooftops. The golden tone of late afternoon had started to settle in, softening the edges of the buildings and turning window glass to pools of orange. The streets, once sharp and cool in morning stone, now glowed like they’d been warmed from the inside out. The petals were still there. They didn’t always fall where she expected, but they were always waiting. One tucked into a shop awning.
