  2. Staring at the instrument that was being held out to her, it was only a replica but damn did it look exactly the same. Taking the bass carefully, she didn't want this one to break. Eyes fixated on it, "Yamaha RBX-374," was all Sam could say. It was something that she looked up back then, one of the things that was marked on her favorites list on the computer back home. The one that she would of bought would have been a replica too because the real one was being used obviously. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest and she was trying so hard not to scream like a little girl.

  4. Aoi felt herself relax slightly as the giant ant creature exploded into shards, leaving her safe – for the moment – in the field. What little she’d obtained from the combat seemed almost paltry in comparison to the difficulty that had come from trying to take the thing down, though she knew she couldn’t complain too much. She was alive, and that meant she hadn’t lost anything of value. I should look at avoiding these things until I’m better prepared, though. And I need to go find that woman’s daughter. She’d forgotten about the quest during the final seconds of the fight, more focused on
  5. The sudden strumming causes the girl to immediately stop playing, offering the darkness a squint as she tried to see through the high beams robbing her of the ability to see out. Getting down on her hands and knees, she'd lean off the stage to escape the lights and her eyes start to adjust to the shift. "Your a little...flat, tune string one up three quarters of a step." A black haired girl had randomly appeared out nowhere and had inserted herself into the venue and started playing. It was rather bold, CC could easily appreciate that fact. *Thunk, Thunk, Thunk, Thunk, POP* The strin

  7. The tremble of the clock as it rattle on in its rhythmic tick, translating a reflection of the one it mirrored. Rustling grass as she'd walk on by, tossing the exact duplicate of Hidden's dagger in the terrain as she'd pass her by. It would sit there, just like the clock tower had. A tap of a heeled boot into one of the many trees that dotted this place, and out dropped a single apple that she'd catch. Folding her arms, she'd take a bite as she'd lean up against that tree. Something that she could never do before. "You tell me, Moonlit Lily. Your heart was reaching out to me, pleading and pray
  8. The bolt sailed across the open space, slamming into the ground mere steps away from the giant ant. Aoi snarled, annoyed at the lack of luck she was having against the creature – but content to see that it remained standing where it was, apparently hesitant to approach her in the moment. She couldn’t see any reason for its hesitation, but chose not to look down upon a gift given in a moment of dire need. This thing definitely needs a sight. Or I need more practice with aiming it and learning where the shot will land…this isn’t going well at all. Aoi finished reloading the weapon, bringing
  9. The sound of the bolt impacting through the carapace almost came louder to Aoi’s ears than the slight screeching sound that the creature made as it reeled backwards and froze in place. Clearly not having expected her attack to land beneath its armoured core, the creature froze in place – as much stunned in surprise as it was from her attack’s impact and affect. Aoi didn’t waste any time, reloading the crossbow once more as she rushed backwards to the absolute maximum range of her weapon, wanting to give herself time to avoid any further charges it might make after her. She knew that she c
  10. The firing mechanism clicked, and the bolt sprung forward to slam into the creature’s carapace once more, ricocheting off into the distance as Aoi took the brunt of its charge again. Slammed into the ground, she ground her teeth as she rolled with the impact, sliding to the side just as the creature brought up its body segment and slammed it downwards to try and crush her. Crap, this thing’s dangerous. Leaping to her feet she reloaded the crossbow, hopping side to side as the giant bug lashed out with its legs in an attempt to swat her to the ground once more. Stepping to the side and foc
  11. Her bolt went wide, and Aoi was given only a single second as the thing slammed into her and threw her to the ground. She could feel the impact as she bounced on the ground, before rolling to her side and out from underneath the giant insectoid. Popping to her feet, she sprinted a few steps away, fumbling another bolt into her crossbow as she went, before turning to face the thing again. This time she stopped long enough to glimpse the entire creature in true form, noticing how much like an ant it appeared – though there were some obvious differences, including the enormous and exaggerate
  12. Wulfrin made sure to take in the fresh virtual air of his home floor in all its grandeur. For all he knew this might be the last time he got to be alone with his wife to be. The moment felt bittersweet to him. So many invitations had gone out with promises of feasts and pageantry all before a crucial raid meeting to share info about the upcoming raid of Floor 28. Wulfrin could only think if this was what soldiers felt before they got shipped out for war. Ciela had told him of her clever plan to marry before the actual ceremony. Wulfrin liked the idea as it would allow for more intimate mo
  13. Creepy. Absolutely, creepy. Aoi stared at another of the giant bugs, this one covered in red scales that seemed almost drake like in design. It was anything but a dragon, though, as it moved deftly upon its six legs, closing in with another of the beetles and raising itself up to slam down upon its opponent. The two creatures had happened upon one another by pure accident, bumping into each other and causing a sudden onslaught that rippled the grass and dirt around them. Aoi had stopped to watch, mesmerised by the idea of common mobs in a game fighting one another. Not that it was entirely out
  14. The fields beyond the walls of Urbus – once she had descended the natural bridge that spanned the gap between city and floor – were similar in some ways to the first floor. Enough so that Aoi had forgotten for a time that she had moved upwards into a different realm, and as such she found herself staring in confusion at the first creature she had come across. Antennae waved around in the air above a head that appeared almost horrifying to look at, considering it was similar in size to her own. The creature moved around on numerous legs, a pair of vice-like appendages snapping where its mouth w
  15. The day before the raid meeting, when tensions were high and everyone buzzed with last-minute preparations, Ciela and Wulfrin slipped away unnoticed. They’d made a quiet decision, one born not out of impulse, but out of the shared weight they carried. With the looming threat of battle ahead and little time guaranteed to anyone, they wanted something that was just theirs. One moment. One promise. One memory untouched by strategy, danger, or duty. Ciela had spent the morning in her kitchen, flour streaking her cheeks and arms as she baked with wild, unrelenting focus. Her way of coping, of
  16. Wulfrin's demeanor shifted as he watched his wife and pupil begin to enjoy a hearty meal. A scene that should have been an upbeat and heartfelt was instantly grounded by whatever was plaguing Wulfrin. He took his place at Ciela's side and carefully handed out their loot from the Sand Shark before beginning to eat the provided meal. Ciela's cooking never ceased to amaze him. She was fantastic at her craft. As they made their way through Fortaleza towards the teleport gate, Wulfrin's heart sank even deeper. This is what Floor 29 was missing, comradery. No friendly NPCs walked the floor. Only dea
  17. Astra's eyes gleamed when Ciela pulled out the meals she had put together for the party. As he opened the tin and eyed the food in front of him, he could feel his mouth watering, and his stomach starting to feel empty. "Thanks! I don't think I could ever say no to your food," he promptly replied before tearing into the meal. It was amazing he stayed so lean in SAO, with all of the food that Ciela had been feeding him. Admittedly, Astra also never considered physical weight mechanics, so who knew. After they had rested for a bit and ate their packed meals, the party made their way t
  18. “Y-You do that? Regularly?” "From time to time, yea. Ever since we fought Shadow in that raid, ages ago. Something passed on, I guess. And I was already numb enough inside that it had little impact. Speaking of which..." Rolling over and up into a seated position, Freyd set himself akimbo before summoning two toblers. Each frosted and equipped with a single hunk of ice eerily similar to the familiar algid blue of her home's floor, Mari watched as Freyd summoned an ornately blown glass bottle filled with dark amber ambrosia. he started to pour. "Whiskey, if I sniffed it corre
