  1. Wulfrin made his way down to floor 17 at the behest of Mina. He had only traveled with her once before, and Wulfrin was curious as to why he was being called to the floor of Olympus. The summons was even more cryptic, an abundance of cat emojis. Wulfrin arrived at the floor to see someone more familiar to him, Freyd. The whisper stood in broad daylight sipping on a coffee of some kind. He was also standing roughly in the same area that Mina had requested everyone to meet. "Yo Freyd!" Wulfrin spoke trying to get his mentor's attention. "You here to help Mina or something else bring you dow

  4. The three amigos pressed deeper into the sandstorm. A shape began to form in the distance, only barely within visual range with the howling sands. Wulfrin still bundled up, was starting to wish he hadn't taken this quest. "I believe that's it!" Zamek exclaimed between coughs and wheezes. He pointed at the odd shape in the distance. "That should be where my things are buried! It should also serve as a hiding spot from the storm! We just have to get there!" Wulfrin pressed farther ahead. This time his pace was quickened. They had a goal and now it was in sight, and with any luck, they
  5. More unfamiliar faces from the frontlines. Wulfrin scanned the group that had gathered. He was prepared for a simple outing, but as he watched the other players pass around items he was suddenly wondering what he had stepped into. “Wulfrin,” he saluted nervously to the questioning of the final individual that handed him a small meal of his own. The stats of the group climbed and climbed before Freyd stepped up and did what he did best to the massive troll that seemed to be paying the group no mind. As Feryd’s energy began to recover from his large opening hit, Wilton leapt in behind
  6. As the bandits backed away from their traveling threesome, Wulfrin could tell they were planning something. The coast was clear for them to proceed once the bandits had retreated into the sandstorm, and so the group marched onward. Wulfrin was keeping a much more vigilant eye out for further intruders, as he was not wanting this quest to end poorly. He glanced up to the HP gauges in the top right of his view. Ciela's HP had dropped a bit, likely from the sandstorm itself, but it also didn't seem to be passively regenerating either. This was not a good sign. Up until now, Wulfrin had thought th
  7. On command Wulfrin charged once more into the frigid aura of Absolute Zero. Katoka had set him up perfectly for an attack. One problem though, his last attack whiffed hard. His highest leveled sword art remained locked to him after his absolute failure to hit. Despite this he charged in, hoping to maybe trigger the bleed effect on his blade, but only managed to glance off the glacial hide. The recoil from the attack sent him flying back into the snow. At this point he had done maybe two damage to the boss. Absolute Zero on the other hand had been doing some significant damage to him. Is t
  8. "Good idea on the guild," Wulfrin agreed eating on his meal at the diner. "Though it takes at least four players to start one. Right now you and I are the only two interested. I know of maybe one other player that may join, but that still leaves us one short. We can always just trade the items manually until we can get the members squared away. Glad to hear you think the idea is a good one though. I've been toying with starting a guild of my own, but it would be focused on leveling people up. I do think you can change the guild type but I'm not 100% sure. Let's table the guild idea and just st
  9. "Cool," Wulfrin said with a smile as they exited the shop. "Glad to see that's quest complete. I know a place not far from here we can grab a bite." Wulfrin lead the duo to a small diner near the market square. Wulfrin started up a tab for their food break, and began explaining a bit more about running a shop in SAO. "The first thing you'll notice is that item you appraised has a small loading icon next to it. Once the system accepts it as a valid item, it will become useable. After that it's waiting for the system to register the quest's completion in your log, and you will then hav
  10. "It took me a while to learn my profession's systems too," Wulfrin affirmed, trying his best to reassure his party member. "It takes practice. I'm not entirely convinced that your rank in the profession doesn't have anything to do with it. You being essentially level 0 is probably not helping much." Wulfrin looked over the item as well. It wasn't his cup of tea but some low level player might enjoy the extra mitigation boost. The standard starting gear was good enough to keep you in the fight, but you really want to upgrade as soon as possible. An item that increases your mitigation, even
  11. Wulfrin watched with intent as he perused the small shop on Floor 1. It was interesting to watch an appraiser at work, but it got him thinking about the armor he had gotten appraised with Morningstar. If he could somehow find an armor of similar rarity and tier, perhaps he could have a set of armor that could carry him into the late game. It might even be a set of armor he wouldn't have to keep replacing. There was of course the option of maybe getting something from Riardon once his shop was up and running. Wulfrin had plenty of unidentified items or even get something commissioned. "Loo
  12. Wulfrin sighed with relief as the river ran by with . He had expected a no, but instead it was being tabled for discussion. This was promising in his eyes. He just might be able to get away with a fairly profitable deal for both of them. Riardon was right though, the quest had to come first. There would be no deal without it. "Sound's good to me," Wulfrin said with a smile. "Let me just wrap up this cast and we'll be good to set out." Wulfrin did exactly that. After a few moments of waiting, his bobber dipped bellow the surface signifying another catch. This one also came with a ches
  13. “Ah so this is the place,” Wulfrin approached the counter of the humble shop after hearing his request was fulfilled. “Thanks for taking the time to build this for me. I was in desperate need of an upgrade. All this raid prep has me running ragged. I got your message about the cost. I know you said free but let me put at least something up for offer. If you ever need anything from me hit me up. I’m always available to help out those who help me. After all, that’s just good sportsmanship ain’t it?” Wulfrin collected his new set of armor and set out to start farming bosses for the floor rai

  16. "Hey Morningstar," Wulfrin greeted his mentor with a smile. "Been trying to power level as best I can since I saw the Lab boss was defeated. With any luck I'll be ready to join up for the Floor Boss Raid. In the mean time though, I'll help in anyway I can to gather resources the needed for the party." He gave a firm salute like a soldier reporting for duty to a commanding officer. His small statured phoenix familiar, Solaris circled in the air above him. "I don't think we've met," Wulfrin held out a hand to the unfamiliar player with jade hair. "Name's Wulfrin. I guess I'm Star's plus one
  17. Having dealt with his rather unfortunate NPC request, Wulfrin returned to his estate. "Sorry about that," Wulfrin said entering the door. He was covered in soot from his forge that he quickly cleared off by swapping around his current wardrobe. "He came by and wanted to add another set of shoes. I don't know how he runs through them so fast. He doesn't go anywhere." Wulfrin knew the answer. It was the system generating a steady stream of business, part of the whole immersion factor of SAO. Wulfrin sat down at his dining table across from Star and began engulfing the burger with reckl
  18. “Good to see you again, Euled!” Wulfrin stood up and shook the hand of the newbie that had come to his shop a handful of days ago. “Wasn’t expecting you to show up, but I’m glad you did. Based off the weapon you requested, I figured you were trying to solo things. I won’t lie it’s part of what inspired me to post the offer. The skill ya’ll will be getting today helped me out tremendously when I started. Consider it paying it forward from the higher level players that helped me.” Wulfrin turned to the older of their small party of three. “Don’t believe I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you,
  19. "I think I can manage that," Wulfrin said with a smile, setting aside a current project. "It'll be 500 col or 5 materials once I'm all wrapped up. Feel free to wait over there. Great view of the pond over there or the forging process. Take your pick. It'll just be a few minutes." Wulfrin turned to his trunks of unused items that he uses for fusing. He had an assortment of unidentified polearms already in stock so it truly wouldn't take long at all. It was maybe five minutes before Wulfrin returned to the counter with the completed item in tow. "Here you are sir," Wulfrin smiled prese

  21. His two companions now in tow, Wulfrin began to press deeper into the cave network. While yes the immediate threat was eliminated the deeper the group traveled, the more likely they were to find more trouble. His priority list was simple, find the kid, get the other two players out. Ciela should be fine Etherial though, that was unclear. Wulfrin had not witnessed their combat capabilities, and frankly hoped he wouldn't have to. "Koko!" Wulfrin called out then went silent. The main reason was to listen for anything stirring, the second was listening for a response for Koko. Not hearing any
  22. "Alright," Wulfrin replied placing his current project to the side. "Let's see what we're working with." Wulfrin carefully studied the specifications of the player's request. They were hastily written, but detailed enough he could get the gist. The crumpled paper wasn't helping much to the readability either. "I believe I might have this pretty much ready to go already. Grab a seat on that bench over there. It shouldn't be too terribly long." Wulfrin was clever about his waiting area. It had a fantastic view of the nearby fishing pond for those who wanted to experience the tranq

  24. Having heard rumors that more and more players were getting their feet wet and coming out of hiding since the death game started, as well as the introduction of a new mechanic allowing Wulfrin to reduce his level in exchange for a exp boost to himself and the lower level players, Wulfrin thought it high time to pay an old training ground a visit. The second floor was home to a skill he found extremely useful when he first started his adventure, so he figured why not take the opportunity to help others get it and try out the new system. With a few motions through the menus, Wulfrin watched as h
  25. The tranquil lakeside air of floor 22 is usually clean and relaxing save for a small blacksmith's shop on its outskirts. Sentinel Armaments was a player owned forge that specialized in crafting or maintaining gear for players of all skill levels. The owner Wulfrin was hard at work trying to keep enough blank items stocked up for his latest scheme of replacing the system given starter equipment with items that gave the fresh players a bit more of an edge. The progress was coming along nicely. Outside of that, the occasional NPC from Coral dropped by and made some odd crafting request, but none
