    [F1-SP] The Will To survive

Akio's initial reaction was: Why was there another player out here with him? It was a huge map how did they run into each other. Sure there were a lot of players, but most of them moved up from the first floor. Then another thought crossed his mind: 'he was upset that I noticed him. Why...' He looked up at the player's cursor. It was green. He frowned in confusion, not understanding the situation at all. 'When you can't be sure, expect the worst. If your always ready for the worst possible outcome, not only will you not be surprised, but you'll be ready for it.' He would most certainly be ready for the worst... Which in this case, was that he was secretly a player killer. He ignored the green cursor, for all he knew there was a way to fabricate one or disguise their cursor. The player noticed the stance and rolled his eyes, drawing an ax himself. "Look kid, you aren't anywhere near strong enough to block my path. I've watched you fight that boar, don't make me cut through you like a ribbon." Akio was really scared right now. He doubted he could outrun this player, and he could very well be telling the truth about being stronger. What was he going to do?... LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ] XP: [ ]
  3. As Alec and Dagger made their way back towards the town of Urbus on the Second Floor Alec kept his eyes peeled for any sounds of pursuit from the Orange Player. As the made their way through the forest Dagger seemed deep in thought as they walk so Alec took the chance to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the woods they were traveling through as he began scratching Humphrey on the neck and behind the ears as they walked. Alec was mildly startled when Dagger suddenly broke the silence with a question about the young Orange Player they had just left. "Honestly?" Alec asked in his deep baritone rumble. "I think he's a punk kid with a bad attitude. Maybe his parents didn't love him enough or maybe he's just damaged. But I think he needs to grow up and mature a bit for his own good and that of those around him as well. Negativity breeds negativity. So as long as keeps acting like a sullen spoiled brat with a chip on his shoulder he won't receive much positive feedback from anyone." Alec stated in a flat tone as the group made their way towards the Second Floors main town.

"So you want to be set free?" Alec asked the Elf King in his deep baritone rumble. "I think I can manage that." Alec began as a look of hope blossomed on the Elf's face and an angry uproar began from the Treants. Alec let both build for a moment before he raised a hand again silencing everyone. Alec turned to face the Treant King. "With your permission I'd like to grant this Elf his freedom." Alec began as the Treant King began to frown and the Treants began to grumble against what he said. "If...." Alec said as he raised his hand again silencing all. "If he can defeat me in single combat he shall have his freedom." Alec stated looking to the Treant King. "Assuming you approve." Alec ended as he looked to the Treant King for a decision. The Treant King broke into a broad smile across his wooden face as he began to nod in appreciation if Alec's idea. As a large grin split his features. "If the King of the Elves can beat our champion in single combat he shall be rewarded with his freedom if not may his soul be judged by the Fates." the Treant King finished in proclamation. Akio slowly pushed himself up to his feet, watching his health slowly begin rising up again. Where was he even? He looked around and noticed that he was in the clearing he had seen earlier. Oh... Cool... He looked at his stats, noting that he still had two points of energy. Huh. Maybe that was only spent when he used sword arts? But then where was his stamina bar? If he was seemingly running out of stamina but his energy wasn't dropping, he felt like there would be another bar somewhere. He didn't, see one though... He sighed as his breathing and adrenaline ran out. So he lost, eleven points of health? That was bad... But, the plus side was that he did get experience points out of it... Not enough to level up just yet, but he did see the bar go up a substantial amount. Akio wiped the dirt off his white cloth until he heard a twig snap and turned around quickly, holding his dagger out in case he needed to defend himself... What he saw was unexpected. Instead of a boar, it was a player... What? Did they come to train like he had? They were wearing what seemed like their own unique armor and a straight sword. "Oh why'd you have to go and notice me? This is not going to be a fun day.." LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ] XP: [ ]
  8. Free from the block of ice? Nice. But it didn't save him from taking a direct hit from the Hydro Pump, condensed water being splashed around freely for him to enjoy. At least the hotter levels of water didn't hurt as much, but his health bar did take a considerable amount of damage. Looking back towards the others, only the blonde was in any real danger. And now that they returned things back to normal, Sey could call an end to the fight sooner than later. Today, he felt lucky, what was ice to the one who boasted the enjoyment of the cold? Now what was the next step? Theoretically, he could howl to get the attention of Leviathan again. But that add was going to run hell if he didn't take it up soon. It would be in his best interest to pull it towards him, and his turn wouldn't be wasted regardless since Leviathan will receive a bit of attention. "If Zandra doesn't mind cleaning up that Sagahin, we'll have a ball. Oh, and attacking Leviathan now doesn't seem like a bad idea." A mutter rather than a command, this fight was a bleeding mess anyways. Now that his skills were not blocked in ice, he would activate <<Howl>> to obtain the attention of the two enemies. "How long do you think it takes for ice to freeze water, Leviathan? Even your slave could guess the answer. In a couple minutes, you're in quite a critical state. Want to continue spitting nails into your watery coffin?" It was simple, but what's the point of effort at this point? His job was to put his health bar in danger, did he look like a writer? [Auto-succeeded the Scald Check Howl, +3 Hate to Leviathan and Sagahin +73 BH]
  9. Wandering through the first floor town before he decided to head out for training at long last, he decided to stop by and pick up some better gear. This uncommon gear was a start, but he wanted the best chances of survival possible. With his hood up and covering his face, he looked for any signs in the merchant section of town. Eventually he spotted a sign that said Royal Blue creations. 'Just royal blue? Or maybe it's just a catch phrase... I wonder if they're good with all colors.' The only downside to his armor was that not all the floors had white areas. So if he wanted to blend in everywhere he needed a lot of outfits.. Or maybe if gaming logic really did break physics, they could make an outfit he could change the color to whenever he wanted. He walked into the store and looked around. There were a lot of different clothings, styles, colors. Even leather goods too. Ribbons seemed to be here as well. He heard a woman greet him and ask him what she could do for him. He still wore his hood so she couldn't see his face, but his size would make it clear where his age was. "Yeah! I wanted to try getting some new armor! maybe. Haven't decided yet really. Do you think it's possible to make clothing that changes color depending on what the owner wants? Oh, and do you want me to give materials like most people seem to want? or could i give you col instead?" @Symphony LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ] XP: [ ]

    {PP-F2} Businessman <<The Venemous Warg>>

Making his way towards the next settlement at a rather relaxed pace as the player killer makes his own path within Aincrad since he can't enter the main settlement himself. Glancing towards the large man he just grins to himself at having a decent bodyguard like the man and thinks of trying to find a way to get a unique for him that could get him some defensive armor qualities to help the man in future quests. Thinking ahead now that he has done all the level locked quests come the questioning of trying to think of what quest he should do next. The obvious answer is what ever get him the most experience so he can become a better scout which means becoming a better merchant from having more goods to sell towards players. The only thing to figure out is what quests even have that kind of reward for him to benefit from. SO then Alec what did you think of our little PKer? #117791 LD:5+4=9
  11. Akio walked through the first settlement looking for a shop he was told about earlier. Now that he had ten materials, he needed to use them. By trading them in for some decent gear. He was really weirded out that players ended up using materials as currency, when the 'official' currency was something called col. Well that something was metallic coins like back in medieval times but col was a weird name for it. He kept his hood up and his dagger sheathed as he passed through the crowd. It was easy for him to move around because of his height and build, allowing him to weave between people, under if necessary. Soon enough he found the shop he heard about. He looked up at the sign and saw the insignia. 'Blazing Typhoon? Huh. I wonder if there are actually tornados burning inside.' He imagined one of the tornados passing by on the counter as two people talked and giggled at the fantasy. He stepped into the shop and took a look around. It wasn't super decorated, but there were a lot of products to look at. Many of them appeared to be breastplates, axes or swords, though there were others like hammers, spears and rapiers. His eyes danced as he ran over to some of the items, looking at them with interest. He ran from one to the other, looking mainly at the cool looking products. One of them he selected to see its stats. "Huh? No stats? I wonder why..." He then noticed the owner for the first time. The man had silver hair like Akio! He rushed over, hood still up, and spoke to the man. "I'd like to make an order sir! A dagger if possible? Something that looks uhm... Like uh..." He pulled out a paper and colored pencil he had brought with him from the orphanage and put it down. He drew the picture of it out, though it was very rough and not too detailed. "Like this! Three damage enhancements please!" [Requested Item] LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ] XP: [ ]
  12. Looking towards the man that enters his shop he gives his usual greeting towards the player with a bow as he accepts the potions iwth a curious look in his eyes since they are the ones that the first lesson quests give out towards player to help them survive the next few lessons ahead of them. Taking them into his personal stock of items for future use he just smiles towards the man. Lets check what this shield is going to do. He says in a polite tone of voice as he identifies the shield going through it and once he finishes he checks out the item and displays it towards the man the regen and thorns shield. A shield capable of healing you while inflicting damage to the opponent survivalist at its finest. #117789 LD:5 regen #117790 LD:20 thorns @Kazzy
  13. Players have 72 hours to post [Deadline is Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at noon PDT] Players tried in vain to attack the leviathan, all being frozen into place. And by the time that the players were starting to thaw, leviathan was already out of reach of their weapons. It was but a paltry attempt at taking its life. There was no way that they could possibly out-class the power of the sea. As their weaker links started to falter, the leviathan could tell that people were likely to start escaping once more. All they had to do was lower their health slowly and surely until they were able to whittle down the numbers to a small enough amount they could wipe them out with e remaining blow. Let the weaker ones run away, and then they would spread the news of the stronger ones defeat. They would bathe in their own sorrow and the creatures of the sea would have no resistance as they swept through the villages and cities, laying waste to their self-pitying race. resting on the ground i take some calming breathes as i just watch the energy bar recover which for myself isn't a huge issue primarily, but finding a way to keep up with the damage that is being done is a much bigger concern. 'Wait i have fighting spirit. I'll just use that.' i think to myself in realization with a grin remembering i should be getting more hate towards myself with every attack that i do with my curved sword if i just try to deal damage as well and utilize to the upmost effectiveness the everything build and why it is simply called that. Gazing towards the man i see him gazing at the photo that was gained from a previous quest as i just nod my head in understanding knowing the reason, and what that photo means for the man as i just keep to myself first and foremost not wanting to interrupt what is possibly just grieving and mourning for the red haired man. My familiar Kuro resting by my side and cuddling up against me. 2/3 out of combat posts
  15. Neo watched as the other party shattered their respective segment. But right as they did, a wave of frost started to creep by her. They seemed to have some pretty bad timing with getting the leviathan to become target-able once more. Though it seemed that a few people were able to get their attacks in, quite a few more were trapped like herself and unable to do what they needed to do to get their own portion of the damage in. Hopefully another chance would present itself soon for them to strike. This one seemed to be a little bit wasted by people not paying attention to the intervals between attacks from leviathan.

As the last Elf Soldier exploded in a shower of red pixels Alec sprinted forward towards a growing crowd of Treants. The Treants seemed to be growing agitated the closer Alec drew to them. As he reached the outskirts of the mass he realized the cause of their agitation. There was one lone Elf standing amidst the circle. All the other Elves had fled leaving one standing here amidst a crowd of angered Treants. It did help that the lone Elf was blustering and babbling about how they must release him and he is a king and other such pomp and threats. Alec slowly made his way through the ring of Treants to also stand amidst the circle standing across from the Elven King. The King began to open his mouth and attempt to issue some sort of demand or order as Alec raised his hand instantly silencing the Elf and causing a look of bewilderment on his face. Alec contiued to face off against the lone Elven Soldier as they circled each other. Alec with his shield held before him and his axe held ready to swing. As each combatant sought an opening to deliver a strike to the other. Finally the Elf Soldier lunged in as Alec swung his battle axe down. The Elf slipped to the side like oil in water narrowly escaping Alec's descending blade. As Alec's passed through empty air the Elf Soldier lashed out with his sword striking Alec's shield as he shifted it to block the swing. The Elf's blade struck his shield and skidded across its surface before grazing Alec's arm as Alec shoved his shield in to the stomach of the Elf Soldier tearing a huge gash there that vented red pixels as the Elf's health meter dropped to zero and the Elf Soldier exploded in a shower of red pixels that disappeared into nothing.

The Elven Commander had fallen to Alec's Battle Axe so too was the Elven army breaking and begining to flee in terror from the might and power of the Treant forces. As Alec stared down his lone combatant he held his shield raised before him shoring his defenses while he brandished his serrated Battle Axe threateningly. The Elf Soldier circled slowly as Alec shifted his position to match the Elf's movements. When the Elf moved in to attack Alec swung his axe down but the Elf Soldier slid to the side at the last moment causing Alex to hit only empty air. The Soldier reacted instantly slashing with his sword as Alec raised his shield and deflected the swing away with ease. As the Elf Soldier began circling again Alec raised his shield to defend against as he readied his Battle Axe to swing as soon as he saw an opening in the Elf Soldier's defenses.

Alec stood facing off versus the Commander if the Elven army and the last of his personal Soldiers. Alec raised his shield to ready his defenses as he brought his battle axe up over his shoulder ready to strike down the Elven Commander when he let an opening arise. Alec swung down at the Commander of the Elves but at the last moment the Elf shifted to the side causing Alec's swing to miss. As the Elf Commander drew his sword back to swing at Alec the gaping wound caused my Alec's serrated axe head continued to jettison red pixels till the Commander's health bar sank down to zero causing the Elf to begin shaking and shuddering till he finally exploded in a shower of red pixels that flew into the air and rained down before disappearing into nothing. The lone remaining Elf Soldier used the distraction of his Commander's death to slide his blade in under Alec's shield opening a tiny cut in his arm that was hardly worse than a paper cut.

Alec contiued his battle against the Commander of the Elves and the two remaining Soldiers in his retinue. As the the Elven Commander moved in to strike Alec swung down with an over hand swing from above his shoulder striking the Commander in the shoulder where his armor absorbed all but tiniest amount of the damage delivered from Alec's swing. Fortunately Alec's last seeing had torn open a ragged wound that continued to vent red pixels into the air. As the Commander continued forward he stumbled and nearly fell as he tried to maintain his footing in the now blood soaked mud they found themselves fighting in. The Commander's two remaining Soldiers followed their Commander in stabbing and slashing at Alec. The first Soldier scored a hit in Alec's side that opened a tiny cut there. Alec raised his shield and Axe again preparing himself for the end of this fight.
  21. You enter the shop after admiring the hot springs of the 21st floor's cavern settlement. You immediately head to the main area of the shop and notice a man wearing dress pants and a top hat, which you find partially silly. You approach him and give him a bow before you speak out. "Name's Kazzy Kuroda. I'm here to sell two uncommon potions, one damage and one overhealth. Also I need your help in identifying this shield. Rare quality so it says." You bring the items out from your inventory and place two of the unwanted potions to be sold. After that is done, you show him the wolf heater shield, hoping that it at least can provide physical protection and maybe a thing or two that helps with your energy or whatnot. Selling one Tier 1 Damage Potion (+1 DMG) and one Tier 1 Overhealth Potion (+50 Temp. HP). Both uncommon. @Dagger

The boar squealed again before entering a charge. But it wasn't aiming for a tree or Akio this time. It was running in a circle trying to knock him off. Akio hung onto the dagger for dear life, pushing it deeper in so it wouldn't slide out. He even worked hard to tilt the blade so it went into the boar at an angle. How did it- wait, it was an animal. It made sense for the developer to install a pattern to knock players off if they tried to ride the boar. Akio was starting to fall off, his legs hanging behind him. Closing his eyes he began to pull his waist and legs back up onto the pig, and grind his knees against its sides. This drove it even more crazy but gave him a better hold on the animal. The boar started running into trees now, causing Akio to receive even more damage. The plus side was it was hurting itself in the process. Even still.. Could he really keep this up? He wasn't sure he could- He noticed something odd. Why was the boar's health dropping continuously? He looked down at the dagger in the monster. 'So leaving a weapon in a target still harms it? That makes sense I guess. In that case.' Akio let go. Another dumb idea. He hit the ground hard and rolled across the soil for a little while, groaning. His health was just under half at this point... Why him? He looked up and watched as the boar circled around before starting to charge, it's health slowly decreasing. Just before it hit him it shattered in to pieces, his dagger flying over him due to momentum. Oh thank goodness... LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ]

Alec continued his fight as the the battle contiued on around him. The Treants had taken a decided advantage over the Elves and it was only a matter of time before they had completely won the battle there were handfuls of Elves left creating minor pockets of resistance but they meant nothing in the long run this fight was closing down. Alec stood poised with his shield held before him and his axe raised ready to strike the Elven Commander as soon as he stepped close enough. Then the moment Alec was waiting for occurred the Elven Commander stepped forward and Alec swung his battle axe in a downward swing connecting with the Commander of the Elves. Again the Commander's mighty armor absorbed most of Alec's strike but as he pulled his serrated bladed axe free of the tiny cut it again tore viscously into the Elf's skin creating a large ragged rent where it had struck. The Elven Commander lashed out with his sword as Alec moved his shield to defend block most big the swing as the Elf's blade nicked Alec, Alec tore into the Elf as he slashed across the Commander with his saw bladed shield. The two remaining Elf Soldiers followed their Commander in stabbing and slashing. Alec maneuvered his shield send blocked the first Soldier's attack. As the second Soldier's attack came in Alec lowered his shield as the blade skidded across its surface till the Elf's blade cut a scratch across Alec's arm as he shifted his shield and ripped into the Elf's body with his shield.

He watched as the boar waited a few seconds, giving him time to get back up on his feet. "Th-that was just me testing you and your strength out. You won't get me a second time!" The boar snorted in response, which actually surprised Akio. Did, did it know what he was saying? Maybe it was the tone... No, no it was a coincidence. There was no way an npc, nay just an ordinary mob knew what he was communicating in any shape or form. He watched as the boar entered yet another charge but this time he didn't charge forward. Instead he just jumped to the side, and ended up stepping onto the ground wrong. The result would have twisted his ankle in the real world but only dealt one point of damage to himself in the game. Beyond that, it caused him to fall down onto his back while the boar ran it's head into the tree Akio was knocked into earlier. He rubbed the back of his head as he watched the boar seem to be stunned for about two seconds. Interesting. The boar turned to him again. 'Uh oh.' He scrambled to his feet and leaped head first to the side again. This was on purpose though so he was able to stand up before the boar could figure out what was going on. Then Akio did something really stupid. He ran over to the boar while it was stunned, jumped onto it's back, and thrust his blade down between it's shoulders. Causing it to go into a frenzy. Instincts told him to run. His body was screaming for him to just bolt in the other direction and never come back. 'If you're facing a fight you know you can't win, don't start it. Find another way out.' At the same time however, he was going to need to fight at some point or another. So it was imperative he start taking risks at some point. 'If you always shelter where you think you're safe, you only make yourself weak and ripe for the picking.' So that was that. Akio took a deep breath and took a stance, holding his dagger out and ready to fight. He didn't know how he was going to fight a boar yet, so he was just going to improvise and rely on his instincts... Assuming his instincts were to fight once the fight had already started. The creature squealed with rage before charging at him. Akio closed his eyes for a split second before opening them again. Determination in his eyes. And the intent to kill. He charged as well and:... Well you could say this ended up being another experimentation. Of a sorts. This time, the topic being how realistic is the physics of this world. Answer? Not very. Cause he was pretty sure a boar this size wouldn't have knocked him back as far as it had. Nonetheless, the mob dealt... Two points of damage? Soooo, it was like. One of the weakest mobs in the game? Well then. Since he wasn't winded or anything like that. LV: 1 || Iron_Lion HP: [ ] EN: [ ]

Akiris shrugged her shoulders at the male's words. She truly did know she actually didn't know this would happen. But she still felt bad that her family has to deal with every single day thinking their daughter, sister, and a friend could die in a stupid video game. "Still even if it's not my fault. It feels like it since I wanted this so badly." Her tone of voice struggled as she said these words. She seemed angry at herself at least a little bit. Finding a tree which was oozing with some kind of sap. Akiris went over and tasted it. sweet. She smiled as she began to collect some of it. Hearing Haltar says he should make a new sweet or dish in here made her laugh a little. "Haltar." Akiris giggled a little. "This is a virtual world. I can't actually taste the dishes. Yes, we might be able too but we truly can't. So making a dish I make in here in the real world might not work out." The girl kept giggling and laughing a little. She couldn't help she was just thinking of how horrible dishes could taste in the real world. "Think of it! A dish in here might taste wonderful till I make it in the real world and everyone does because it tastes horrible!!" Laughing at this thought she was almost crying. She didn't know if that would be the best idea. "I wouldn't want to do that to my family. I also will probably be a horrible cook when I come out of this game. I probably will have to relearn everything so I can make dishes edible." Akiris is truly thought this as she calmed her laughing. She was hoping she didn't hurt the make feelings with laughing but she wasn't going to say anything unless he reveals that it bothered him somehow. Akiris then went on looking for her last ingredient for the stuffed apple crisp. She got wild oats, apples, spices, and sweet tree sap. Now she just needed milk so she could make homemade whip cream. She then looked out towards the plains to see if she could as any cows, goats, etc... "I need to find a goat..." Akiris mumbled in thought as she somewhat jogged off into the fields. The heavily armored player nodded in response to her question and would place his massive ax down. He then took three strides over to a large boulder and sat down. He didn't say anything for a little while, didn't think about anything either. With the combat adrenaline gone, he was struck by the wave of emptiness he originally felt. Even with Hestia here with him, he felt like a shell. A lie, a mask. A hollow husk, pretending it was alive and living with another. He couldn't even put on a mask of happiness, or humor. He couldn't pretend. Partly because he didn't want to anymore, but also because, well. He just didn't have it in him anymore. He slowly opened up his inventory and pulled out the picture of his mother. His mother. The one good thing about his life he'd ever known. This game had finally given him the chance to see what she actually looked like.. It also let him hear her voice, just once. It had confirmed she was in fact Irish. But even still. He wondered if she'd be disappointed in him. Or even mad at him for what he'd done and become. Hestia and others might say she'd be proud for breaking out of the cycle, but.. A part of him doubted that. He just couldn't let that feeling go.
