[PP | F01] Back in Session <<First Few Lessons>>
Faerie replied to Faerie's topic in Beginner Floors
Fae chuckled and waited for Adelyte to finish her fondue before accompanying her out of the shop and further out of the gates. It was a misconception that the only safe place on the floor of beginnings was the city, but in truth the safe zone extends out into the planes a fair distance before it starts to get dangerous, and its even further before you can really run into anything of danger. This wasn't true on every floor, so caution was still the norm, but it meant the trek would be even longer before they'd find somewhere actually worth searching for materials. WILL FINISH LATER -

‘Castor.’ His words were few, but his smile was sweet. Telrenya followed that lead. Fumbling over her tongue while she fished for the correct way to present herself was only going to drown the mood that seemed to rest in the air so effortlessly. Like a thick fog surrounding them, she had little choice but to breathe in. Their hands met and the music infected them. Slowly, for her. Her movements were unpracticed. Feet not unsteady, simply unconfident as they shifted her to and fro in time with the heavy beat. Her partner, on the other hand, carried himself seemingly effortlessly. She was s

Reytac replied to Reytac's topic in Merchants and Shops
Reytac settled back in to his workbench with his tongue clamped between his teeth as he focused. He wanted to see if he could finish off his first solo-spark stone today. The recipe that he was working towards was a different one from his first attempt - rather than trying to make something to combine skills, he wanted to see if he could make the 'force proc' stone. Carefully, he ground away the shell of a particularly heavy nut. The seed oil inside of it didn't do much on its own - but served as an amplifier for other liquids and materials - encapsulating some of the goal he was trying -
“It would be my honor.” Sin brought her hand up to her face, covering her mouth as a cheerful giggle escaped her. God, this woman was such a dork. A dork, but a cute one. Sin could feel her tremors beneath her fingertips, her frame. Really, she was surprised that Iris could muster any words at all. The goal was always to leave them speechless. Sin’s hand ran down Iris’s arm, fingers eventually intertwining. She pulled, gently but firmly, guiding Iris away from the bar and through a non-descript door behind it. Two doors down, not a long walk. It might well have felt like an eternity

Mari watched as the other woman quickly climbed the rope, dusting off her hands she'd extend her own offering a name. Mari glanced down at Azhoda's hand, hesitating for a moment. Then, after a slight pause she reached out to shake it. "I'm Mari." Mari wasn't sure if her name would cause alarm, but there was no use hiding it, and even if it did - it wasn't like the other could do anything about it. "Yeh well...I'd be more worried about green players if I'm being honest." Mari rolled up the rope and stored it away into her inventory, and in the same motion pulled out a flask of water for th

Of course Oscar was the host. Who else could have orchestrated such a unique event? He and Willow separated. She took to the bar; he to the dance floor. Heat radiated from the crowd, and regrettably, he had worn a suit. He pushed his way in, cutting past the outer wall of dancers and finding a place near the center. The classical ballroom melody he enjoyed so much shifted into a polar opposite electropop track, and with it went the sophistication of the dance floor. That was fine. It was more suitable to dance alone to. He stepped in tandem with the beat, ignorant of those around him. Mas

Hirru seemed worse off than she did. Mari sipped her drink, feeling her cheeks flush from the constant flow of alcohol into her system. It was a pleasant buzz that helped addle her senses and drag away the worries and anxiety she had been feeling for most of the night. The man seemed distracted as he drank. "It does seem like being thrown around will be a common theme..." Mari said absently as her eyes shifted over to the dance floor. There were so few people she'd be willing to dance with. But, at least she was socializing. Even just a little. "I think the best thing to do is just lean

@Sibyl he never did find marquis in the end. shikari found the bathroom, at least. to him, that was enough. the thought to properly commence his search for the missing player on iris’ behalf was only stopped by the fact that he wasn’t about to enter the ladies’ as a man uninvited. he still had some class and dignity to keep; he didn’t want to make a commotion and ruin the night, after all. plus, marquis was an adult. whatever she was doing in there (if she was, in fact, in there?), she could handle herself. he only resolved to apologize to iris on his way back, and had he not be

The crowd at the bar was already three players deep by the the time Lessa arrived. The mass practically took on a life of its own, a monster that shifted and surged, changing form with each arrival and departure. And she was meant to find Jomei in that? The dim lighting and the masks certainly didn't help matters. He was tall, sure, but the same seemed to be true for everyone else in the Blackbook. Most of the women, Lessa included, benefited from the few extra inches provided by their high heels. The blonde clucked her tongue in thought, then loosed a quick shrug, and plunged into the throng.

Nursing his drink on the outskirts of the dance floor, Astra watched as masked dancers moved in unison. They were trading exchanges with one another, moving in unison to a symphony of strings. Some even seemed to be in their own world with their partner, possibly emboldened by the masks they wore. This was more than a pre-teen dance in a high school gymnasium. Though this environment was unfamiliar to Astra, it was somewhat comforting. Why couldn’t he feel the same as those around him, taking off their 9-5 masks and immersing themselves in the moment? The closer his glass was to being empty, t

She leaned into the strangers help as she loosened the fabric caught around her heel. Finally, it came undone and the fabric fell back into place draping to the ground elegantly. He steadied her with a firm arm. Her eyes widening for a moment in surprise before returning to normal. If she were ever to run into someone back in the dojo, she would have been beaten. Yet, this man had helped her kindly and asked her if she was okay. It was strange to her, almost an alienating feeling. Upon meeting the strangers eyes it became apparent to her that something; though she wasn't exactly sure what, had

Almost as if she could read him more than anyone else, she took the nervous man away from the dance floor. Was he really showing that much concerning notions, or was she really not wanting to. She said that her special someone wouldn't be there, which he wanted to know more about, but that was between them. It was not his area to intrude on, unless Mari decided to give that information. So, they found themselves back upon the very seats that they sat upon before. Was this going to be their place to return, if such things happen again? "Huh.. Oh! Thanks." Mari had ordered a drin

"Shh, you're okay. No one is going to hurt you." The young girl held onto him, sobbing into his shirt. A gentle hand patted the girl's back, calming her with soft shushes. Jomei had no doubts that this was not some unjust act of violence on Mari's part. Broad daylight, this close to town, with witnesses nearby. Not the ideal setting for a murder in cold blood. And he doubted Mari was up to dealing with the consequences yet again. She was merely adding in the missing details when she recalled her reasoning to resort to violence. He nodded, eyes full of empathy, understanding, and, mo

It didn't take much to decorate the Farm for Halloween. The other 364 days of the year, the ambient sound on her costal property was enough to send a shiver up a spin: the steady crashing of the waves on the rocks, the whisper of the wind through the dried cornstalks, the mournful cry of the foghorn. The old barn, with its shadowy hayloft and dusty sweat smell certainly didn't help matters. Set out a few jack-o-lanterns, and rig a stereo to play spooky music, and Lessa had the makings for an extra creepy stop on the the trick-or-treat trail. The truth was, Lessa wasn't actually into the s

It had been a long day. Cascade had received the invitation by means of several players inviting her to attend as their plus one. Most of which she had politely declined, the others, not so much. She had grown tired of this town, and a ball sounded like the perfect distraction. Cascade took her time getting ready. She had never been able to be in one place for long, never had any time to care about how beautiful she looked, or who she would encounter. Most of her life was lived in the shadows. So tonight held a particular wonder for her that no other event could. She looked in the mirror. Sati

The sun had begun setting, a beautiful sight to behold. The alert came. Vanta summoned her menu with a small wave of her hand. The message peered back at her. Sharkbait training you say? she shrugged. Why not. She hit 'reply.' Three simple words. Message: See you then. She took off; meeting at the gathering point. Wulfrin sat waiting, his signature Sharkuterie Board laid out on a nearby table. She grinned entering the tavern. You know I'll never turn down your snacks ever again. They're always so delicious. she offered. She made her way to the table and select

The festivities continued; people danced the evening away unapologetically, some filled their stomachs, some quenched their thirst, some congregated and laughed the night away during distant conversation. Others, like herself, had found a quiet, dark corner to observe the course of the evening. The ballroom was extravagant, the lights glittered as they moved about. The music echoed through the building comfortably. Eventually it became clear to her that she had neglected to eat. Her stomach rumbled furiously. Unfortunately, this was a common occurrence. She got distracted in current events and

Typically, masquerade balls she had attended ( correction, the only masquerade she had attended ) had individuals wearing masks to conceal their identity. Having the entire ballroom shrouded in darkness was not what she expected. She had heard of silent discos. Blind balls sounded complicated. "How the fuck are we supposed to see?" the woman mumbled to herself as she stood just inside the doorway for a moment, the voice of an unseen woman's singing serving as the backtrack. It only lasted for a couple of moment before the soft shades of magenta illuminated the room and its inh
