{{PP-PT-F29}} A Drink That Never Ends {On the House}
Reytac replied to Reytac's topic in Intermediate Floors
Reytac followed the purple-haired woman into the bar, and let out a soft sigh of relief as he pushed his rain-slick hair back from his face again, and this time it wasn't immediately shoved back down by the constant drizzle. It wasn't like it was a solid downpour, but the storm never let up out there, even for a moment. It was like they were in one of those old noir films about a stormy city, but instead of a neon abyss their environment was ore along the lines of oversized fishing town. He shook his head side to side, scattering water from his hair and face, then gave an irritated scowl when -

Teion replied to Reytac's topic in Intermediate Floors
His initial response was the opposite of what she was thinking–that she had expected to see someone else around, somewhere, on this floor, but that it was strange that it had taken this long. His admission of a teleportation mishap caused her to cock an eyebrow and take another brief look over him. Her eyes paused at the hammer in his hands. Best she could tell, it looked incredibly basic. She thought about prying over his level, asking why he wouldn’t just head back down to a lower floor. Instead, she just frowned and turned her gaze back to the building. He’d said exactly what she was thinki -
Reytac waved one hand in front of his face, trying to clear the thick, choking dust that was hanging around him away. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted motion, and at first he thought he'd seen a rat or something, or a moth. He knew he was alone in the jailhouse, after all. So when he turned to look at it, and started hearing the faint sound of sobs - his skin got covered in goosebumps, and all the hair on his neck stood up sharply. Because drifting closer was something that was definitely not some kind of animal, or insect - it was a shorter figure, yes, but still human. If humans were

"Mari wait!" Mari paused, glancing over at Jomei. Had he already returned her to the city? Eyebrows rose into her hairline as her eyes widened, seeing the little girl in tow. Tiny hands balled up and clutching the length of his pants, practically threatening to pull them down. Mari hoped the man had a strong belt. She didn't need to see anything unbecoming. Jomei scrambled to offer her an apology but Mari held up his hand and he stopped, trailing off. "You should take her back." Mari's eyes glanced down to the small girl, and she flinched - hiding behind his leg. "Please. Do what I

Astra replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
"W-what? Stalkers is a bit harsh I think..." As much as the two of them followed with the best of intentions, Astra had to admit that she did have a point. He'd probably feel similarly if he noticed two people tailing him, you could never be too cautious in the floating castle. Her body language was closed off to the two of them, and it seemed that even though him and Wulfrin were telling the truth, they weren't making much progress. She did seem somewhat skittish, looking over her shoulders as they spoke, dark eyes darting back and forth. Was there something she was running from, or was -

Reytac replied to Reytac's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Again, I am sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going - I didn't expect to see anyone else here." Other than distant shapes in the storm clouds or fog off in the distance, Reytac hadn't seen another person since he arrived on this floor. He was honestly surprised to have run into someone else here - and embarrassed to have literally run into her. He didn't take offense to the way her eyes flicked up when she ran into him - it was a good precaution, and especially this high up was probably a healthy one to take. He did the same, a small bit of tension easing from his sho -

There it was again, that odd tension in the air when the green-haired woman handed the new arrival her own bowl of Familiar Food. It was almost like the air was filled with ozone, a lightning strike about to happen - but there was nothing, just the Tamer going back to busying herself with things and ignoring the two Players. Reytac rubbed the back of his head and gave a slight shrug before turning his attention to the new person, raising one hand in greeting. "Howdy there miss, nice ta meetcha. Name's Reytac. You interested in working together for the 'Feeding Your Enemy' quest? I think

A flash of movement in the left cell heralded the ghost’s arrival. It was as if the air around the figure simply parted for her, dust particles and light bending around her silhouette as she drifted from the bench to the bars of her cage. Her form was far from solid - more like a slight distortion to reality, visible only if the viewer were to squint and tilt their head a bit. But the soft sobs that racked her were unmistakable, and very real. The sound of them, soft, shallow, and breathless, filled the small building. And with each second that passed, the source came into clearer focus.

It was Winnies first time in a virtual world. Everything was new and scary. Upon her arrival in the game she had been met by dark skies. The objects fell from the clouds as though they were leaves of a tree, flittering, and fluttering downward towards her. There must have been thousands. Eyes glued to the sky slowly losing focus. Her mind subconsciously drifted away from reality. Everyone she had ever known was inside this world and she had been tasked with rescuing them. How could she even attempt such an outrageous thing?! Her mind threatened to become undone, but she fought it desperately.

lancaster? artoria’s eyes sharpen. thousands of names in idle remembrance and this one— had she heard this one somewhere? what stops her from examining that thought to pieces is the way mari almost appears to glow when she talks about her husband. for a moment there, she’s lost in her own little world. the last thing artoria wants is to be called another man’s wife, but… love is beautiful on the faces of others. she isn’t masochistic enough to sit here and watch it flourish in a pardoned killer. she smiles, polite in excusing her momentary withdrawal with a raise of her glass. “how s

This floor stunk of salty mildew. For a good twenty minutes, Teion’s nose had been wrinkled over the smell assaulting her nostrils, but after that she must have acclimated. That, or the rain sputtering down on her was keeping her sufficiently distracted. ”What an absolute ghost town.” She murmured, nearly scoffing. Not an NPC, player, monster, or so much as a rat in sight. Teion was left to wonder if this floor was so vile that all of the frontliners abandoned it to continue rotting just as soon as the boss fell. She wouldn’t have blamed them. Standing outside what may have once been -

The hesitation and shake of his head only made her more persistent. She was relieved when he finally took the glass. There was something distant in the mans eyes, a longing. For what? She didn't know, but it wasn't a simple thing, it was more necessity than want. All she could gather in the current moment was that the kind man that now held her was in pain and she somehow found herself wanting to help him in any way she could. Whether it that meant she was used as a distraction, someone who he could vent to, or anything else really. The decision came through easily. She would stay with him, if

The world around her felt heavy. The greenery, the flowers, the breeze, the clouds, not even the sunshine had quenched this feeling of dread that drenched her from head to toe. She ignored it best she could, setting out on a quest of her own. One of hearsay. Cascade had overheard a conversation at her local tavern. There was a woman along the trails that could offer a means to acquire a companion, or at the very least, guide her in the right direction. She had dreamt of having someone to share her journeys with, but it had always been a distant wish. At best, all she could do was attempt to ch

Adelyte replied to Faerie's topic in Beginner Floors
"Beauty in the eye of the beholder" Adelyte quoted, referencing Fae's comment that some materials have a different appearance, depending on the player. She looked at her with a bright smile as Fae tried to apologize, "Oh, you don't need to be sorry. I do it all the time. Plus its cute to hear you nerd out about that stuff. Lead that way Fae!" Did she chortle at her silly rhyme? Of course she did. With long strides, she followed behind her gathering companion into the darkness of the cave. The light of the sun slowly faded the farther in they descended, and it completely vanished as -
"Well that's a relief," Lessa replied, shaking her head for added effect. "I feel like we just had an entire conversation about how I'm not interested in your cock or your balls." She punctuated the comment with a smile, but it fell away as silence overtook her. She'd jumped at the opportunity to make a sexual comment - those jokes were really just low-hanging fruit at that point - but his confession carried weight that she couldn't simply laugh off. The topic deserved more respect than that, and so did he. In one day, he had shared with her more than he had in the years they'd known each othe

Eyes peered up from the shipping manifest to look at Hirru, the speckles in her golden eyes glistening in the lantern's glow. She hummed curiously with tight lips, "Fair point." She wasn't even entirely sure how far of a trip it was to the docks. This entire floor was an island surrounded by dark ocean, they could be located anywhere. Rubbing her temple with a tiny groan, she would fold up the sheet of paper and shove it into her pockets. When they find the shipment - if they find it - better to know exactly what they need to grab. She'd hate to have to make another trip out in this shit

@Sinnamon with a scoop of her hand, sin led them into the backrooms. — and the anticipation through the walk was fucking killing her. iris had actively tried not to make eye contact with anyone else that might’ve seen her, and couldn’t keep her gaze off the floor as they shuffled through staff-only areas. embarrassing. it was times like these that her inexperience was showing, in spite of her desire, underlining the underlying tinges of a personal regret and fear. she could only hope that sin would not notice. not that it lingered for long. when iris was introduced to sin’

A slow blink as cerulean eyes raised to meet with emerald green - glistening just so under the flickering lights of the club. Mari hadn't expected anyone to approach her - Mari never really considered herself much of a looker. Tired circles beneath her eyes, freckles spotted all over her body. Wide hips, and a short stature - but...maybe there was some kind of allure to that, she guessed. Oscar seemed to enjoy it, as did Lancaster. Still...Years of neglect from an ex husband were not so easily wiped from her memory. Then there was the curse of the orange crystal - ever the mark of sin flo
