Another shadow crossed the edges of her vision, this one lasting long enough to make Aoi believe that it wasn’t just her imagination, or some shift in the storm around them. Though it had moved quickly, and had carried with it a distorted visage, she couldn’t deny the fact that it had been humanoid in some shape or form. She wanted to warn the elderly man beside her, to give him some indication that they were being followed and possibly tracked, but as she turned to say something, she noticed that he was smiling at her in a way that showed in the eyes, the only thing visible in his features.

[PT-F2-PP] <<Field Boss>> Right away, your majesty (Wulfrin)
Wulfrin replied to Baldur's topic in Beginner Floors
"Don't mention it," Wulfrin smiled as he and Baldur made their way to the field boss's location. "Always happy to lend a hand where I can." Wulfrin thought back to the previous raid. Baldur's assessment of it being emotionally charged was an underestimate. Being placed on the brink of death, forceably trading places with your mentor and watching them essentially vanish, only for them to mysteriously return with a new look and outlook on life really changes one's view on their situation. Wulfrin had only just gotten back to where he could consider fighting in the raid. With the events on F - Today

[SP | F06] Blind-Sighted <<Calming the Soul>>
Scarlet Firefly replied to Scarlet Firefly's topic in Beginner Floors
In the darkness, I fumble my hands on the dirty, moldy wall desperately searching for one of the several door knobs I had seen just seconds ago. The fear was making the image I attempted to recall like acid dissolving through steel. The scratching of nails against the wall accelerated my heart-rate to a very uncomfortable pace. My mouth was beginning to feel dry as I gasped for air in desperation to escape this creature's domain. The posterized image of the creature's hand caressing the light bulb in it's hands was the only thing my mind could show me. I needed to run. "̶̣̟̣̳̃̈́͋̽W̵̮̭̚h̴̀͑ -
A screech from the sky above, the fast moving mass of brown feathers definitely caught the hungry eyes of some of the lionesses that lingered to watch their male counterpart battle. Exiting her dive with outstretched wings, the owl zipped past the Nemean Lion, sharp talons raking into its body as she passed. With a twist in the space behind the large cat, she would shoot up to the safety of the skies once more. As the Nemean Lion quickly turned to counter the much smaller bird, and possibly catch himself a snack, he was instead met with a blur of green. Allowing the <Charge> skill

They were in the field before Acanthus even knew what had happened. Morningstar had sussed out the lion almost as soon as they were on the Floor. She wondered if he was part bloodhound. Reading minds seemed to be an in-game skill: perhaps there was also a hidden skill related to searching that let you smell out the enemies? Either way, the Lion never stood a chance. Morningstar and Arabelle were already on the lion, destroying chunks of the health bar in single blows. Arabelle remarked that she hoped piercing the hide would not affect the drop. “Not that I’m aware of. I’ve hunted thi

Mari began to reach out, stretching closer to Acanthus’ face. At that moment, the reality of the situation dawned on her: she was alone, in the wild, with a complete stranger. A stranger with an orange marker. The wind picked up, and the shade of the tree danced as the branches shifted lazily. A knife flashed in the shadows cast on Mari’s hand. Acanthus recoiled for a fraction of a second, smacking her head on the back of the tree she rested against. The light had settled, and Mari looked the same as she had before. “Oh, I’m sorry! Sorry. I started drifting off to sleep. It’s a calm

Scarlet Firefly replied to Scarlet Firefly's topic in Beginner Floors
When Samantha opened her eyes she was in a dingy hallway with moldy yellow wallpaper. The black spots upon the wall ushered in the churning of her stomach. One singular light-bulb lit up the hallway allowing her to barely make out the silhouettes of door-frames and knobs. "Hello? ...?" The girl called out timidly to no response. Her footsteps quickly became the loudest sound just above the creaking under her feet and the soft pattering of rain against the roof. Suddenly a bolt of lightning flashed leaving the girl stunned. Flashing lights sent her into a panic. She felt blessed to be able -
Today Firefly decided to leave Myst at home. She had researched the quest she was going on beforehand but it was confusing. It talked of demons and fears but couldn't clarify an exact type. That these entities are known to change depending on the person who did it. It wouldn't be weird to believe that the models were simply randomized. The journey to the location was difficult. Without pathways or simple modes of transportation as a result of that, Firefly was left entirely with her own two feet. It took some time to travel. It was as quick as possible thanks to the map proved with the in

The woman’s bright eyes shifted back up to Mari’s crystal, then, finally - as though she realized there was an actual person beneath the warring beacon their eyes met. Another few seconds passed. Funny how time works, they stretched on as though they were minutes and hours - but, with a blink of her eyes, shifting away from Elora, to a small corner - the moment had passed. The tense heaviness in the air remained. "Geidmirning." The greeting tore Mari’s eyes away from the intricate little mushroom painted tile back to the woman. She seemed tense. Her jaw clenched, fingers twitched. Ah

The girl would slip forward and just slide off his shoulder. All that alcohol having finally kicked in fully. The guy struggles to keep his own balance, finding the added alcohol and her now dead weight to be a little difficult to muster. A hand to his brow, he rubs it for a second. "You are so much heavier when you go all limp noodle on me. Which isn't that often but it happens more then one would expect it to." Fishing the snake out so it doesn't get smashed, the man offers it to his collar to which it takes to nibbling on his earlobe in a slightly uncomfortable way. Lifting her up, Raidou e

"Thanks again for offering to help me with this." Baldur nodded to Wulfrin as they headed out to the, at this point, very well documented spawn location of the <<The Wasp Queen>>. He had been farming this boss for years, but her stinger was a useful drop, and the floor boss raid would be coming up soon. He had learned first hand from the last fight just how useful all these field boss drops were if you farmed them. Being prepared was his modus operandi after all. "How are you feeling? I know the last fight was a little... emotionally charge, you ready to get back on the horse?

A final push with renewed vigor and tenacity, as if something within him found itself fueled by an unseen pyre. Rosaria would lock eyes with the creature seeing that floating red marker who had taken on the personification of death, staring into the eyes of vengeance with a taste to repay for her inelegant betrayal. On her brow, what would fall away is her boastful self importance. Her arrogance as she knew what this would mean. Time and time again there were always attempted uprisings, cloak and dagger operations and claims against the mans life. But no matter how many occurred, how many atte

"Sometimes, I think...yeh...they....grow - but - seeing them die, then come back just ruins that immersion." She yawned. How many drinks had she had? Mari counted on her finger - trying to figure out how many shots were in the bottle she had downed a good 70% of. She had at least 4 shots of whiskey at the bar in the span of about 15 minutes, then she continued to drink out here. It was nice. It was relaxing. There weren't any strange concoctions to be made, she wasn't following a plague doctor. Her curiosity wasn't spiraling her down some kind of morally questionable hole. Freyd

Covering her eyes so she didn't get blinded by the light, shaking her head and looking back up. Just like that the Nisa she remembered was in full form, new armor, blade and shield were equipped. "Where ever they are I would love to meet them or one. By the way that armor looks amazing." Eruda got a bit jealous watching her hop on the horse. It was hers so of course she knew how to ride it without being jolted off. Hearing her speak of the Moonglow and the location of Avalon, "I always wondered why it vanished, will it do that if we pick it or plant it in a normal environment?" Seeing Raidou f

Allowing her potion to continue boiling away, she'd mix the vials on the rack with ginger fingers until it finally finishes up and she pulls it free. A brackish purple liquid staring back at her, she'd wiggle it and pop a cork on it before replacing it with an empty one. Back into the chest, she'd start to pile up her yield and toss them underhanded into the box who moves to catch them like a dog would a ball. Eventually its all removed and the woman would take to the corners of that large blanket and start folding it inwards. Into the box, like everything else before she'd shut its lid back u

Zajcica replied to NIGHT's topic in Intermediate Floors
The paladin sheathed her lance once the fight was basically over. Between her armor melting any enemy in a five meter radius and NIGHT’s sword destroying them from the inside out they stood no chance. Night’s comment had brought the thoughts to her mind. It wasn’t something she really considered while they rushed their way through the game. “I guess. The Shadow created a lot of chaos for almost everyone in Aincrad. Maybe it was totally on purpose too. Y’know, since it was like the one-fourth mark of the game or something.” The best she could do was speculate off the top of her head. Her -
The man had a whole slew of questions blazing around behind that almost lax deadpan of his, a fake smile worn on repeat that had become so actualized it would register as real. The statement that Mari had shared rung the bell so to speak, the reason he was in the bar in the first place. Theft, and Mari just confirmed a murder that would line up with the time frame. But it wasn't her issue, wasn't something she needed to be trapped in. Girl already had enough problems, and she didn't need to be dragged into it. "It's odd Mari. NPC's are nothing more then 1's and 0's but have grown beyond their

"Yeh....what was that one book?" Mari asked as she closed her eyes trying to recall a particularly bad one. "It was about a vampire -who was in love with a warewolf- who was also a witch, who was also secretly royalty? Gods..." She laughed and went to reach for the bottle, realizing it was out of her grasp Mari's hand fell to her lap. "Raidou - I always sleep in grass." SHe paused then realized that was no longer true. "Wait..no....I slept in a bed once - but I don't think I was very welcome." Freyd had taken her to his house after she got drunk with him - and the next day

Taking the bottle from the girl as he'd turn what was in his hand around. It wiggled and wrapped itself around the mans index finger, taking the worlds most pathetic nibble as an attempt at self defense. "Its a garter snake. You sleep in any grass lately?" The man chuckles as he'd wrap his hand in a way that it could nestle inside just like it did the woman's hair. Must have confused her for a very festive bush. "No problem, even if it was just the booze." He'd remark looking at the itty bitty nope rope, that could easily be confused for a hair tie. Taking the final hit of that good good, he w

Myst watched carefully for Pollux to open her arms in welcome but it never came. Thankfully the feline was smart enough to understand its own plight and refrained from forcing Yue Hua to catch her, especially when the girl made it clear that jumping was not going to end up in her favor. Firefly took little time in snatching up the ladder anyways. Pollux would mention that her crafting was finished for the day and she was simply looking for a way to fill the rest of her day. “Man I should really unlock crafting myself. I hear it takes some time to level up with the daily limits imposed on
