Mari locked the door behind her with a near silent click. It had been difficult to navigate the area- but for the most part it was uneventful. This town didn’t care if you had an orange, or green cursor - and her companion made good distractions, a hand on the shoulder here - a giggle there. It was…almost comical to see such a stoic and emotionless person play the part of a sweet woman. The barkeep, a old miser of an NPC asked them what they wanted and Mari kept her back to the scene. She knew what the man was about to do. The barkeep being an NPC didn’t make the act any less…gruesome. Ma

"A day..." he whispered, brow furrowed and wondering where the discrepancy could have come from. Instantly shedding grogged up exhaustion for mania, Mari gleefully demonstrated her makeshift centrifuge, winding the rope and spinning it wildly. Eyes darting to the vial she'd used as a sample, he instantly wondered what it was and where it might have come from? Had she conjured the thing herself? By reputation, she certainly had the skills. A cold shiver reminded him of her original trade as an alchemist and poisoner of no small renown. "Yes... I...err... it's brilliant, I love the

Wandering down the street as the woman helping herself to conversations with the guards as they'd pass, just to keep their gaze from Mari who would be slinking behind any form of cover to remain out of sight. Evidently they end up at a pub that at this time of night seemed rather empty, a single barkeeper manning the counter through the window. Sampling his own stock, he would wipe the counter down with a white rag in wide strokes. The disguised man leans down and sets the crate just inside the entrance. "Lock the door." The woman offers Mari as she'd wander up with a smile. Taking a seat, eve

Mari placed two bars of what looked like melted brass into the box. Mari sighed, ignoring the little ping constantly going off. Theft was the least bad thing she had done lately. What did she care? Mari glanced out the window, pausing. Her beaked bill tilting to the side as she hyper focused on something small in the corner of the frame. She watched the wasp struggling in the spiderweb for a moment. That’s when it hit her. Something that would only affect monsters, not people. Pheromones were one thing; it was a stretch but it was one thing but there was something else. Something phy

[ EV | F29 ] A Fatal Error Has Occurred. {Spectral Knight Combat}
Hirru replied to Wulfrin's topic in Intermediate Floors
They had defeated the rough looking creature, or was that an abstract art piece? What the heck is abstract mean? Was there a reason that the hunter was even here? Did he really need to be here? These thoughts were really there in the hunter's mind as he raced back to the group. Ariel had taken the final hit on the creatures, which was good for him. It only meant that his NPCs would be able to leave quickly and without resistance. That is, as long as it kept going when it didn't feel the issue of the mobs ever encroaching upon them. A quick look towards the teleportation temple would gi -
The man would help himself to the back of the store looking to a wall to lift a lantern from. The twelve or so 3 stack steel shelving were littered with wares not out in the shopfront. Prowling the shelves and pulling open boxes toward himself to peer inside, causing all manner of rattling and clattering of glass and metal. Shuffling through he'd find a few more obvious baubles to which he slinks into a pile of the other crap he'd stolen. The whole time, his little HUD was screaming on repeat. 'Infraction: Theft' bouncing itself on the side of screen and rushing off for a bit before it would f

She had startled the poor girl! Acanthus waited patiently as the woman coughed and composed herself. Acanthus looked away politely until she was ready to talk, and shook her hand as it was offered. Mari mentioned her relationship to Baldur and how the tea setting was not for any particular person. Acanthus thought the other girl seemed a bit morose. Acanthus was crestfallen at the woman’s sad remark. Living the game was already an alienating experience, and being an orange player exacerbated that, no doubt. She took a seat next to her, in front of the empty tea setting. “Do you mi

An iridescent glow would envelop his shield while Jomei was taking care of the boss. It was stunned for now, so he would not need to worry about healing for now. He would do what was needed right now and make this as quick as possible. There was no need to hesitate now. If he did, then they.. No, he would not think of it. Hirru would raise his shield high to where the art would initiate. The glow would then disappear like the art before, and would transfer to the blades of his allies. They now held the power to make this battle that much faster. "Press the Attack has been initiate - Today

Aaand they were flirting. Had Acanthus been in full “business mode,” she might have made an annoyed noise, or tried moving the conversation forward. But they had their info, and Acanthus had two and a half drinks in her. And that was enough for the stuffy frontliner to take a back seat to the playfully annoying big sister. “I’m afr aid it’ll be a while before he’s g ot deeep pockets. Jomei replied to Baldur's topic in Beginner Floors
Opening his mouth to speak, instinctually wanting to argue Baldur's leadership claim, he would hold his tongue and offer an appreciative smile instead. "I'm looking forward to it, especially if it gives me an excuse to hang around your estate more. I didn't spend enough time in the onsen last time. Not sure if I'm ready to learn the way of the katana though." he teased his friend. Though there was a bit of seriousness in his statement. That onsen though.. chef's kiss. It was back to business, and the group discussed strategy. It seemed that both Hirru and Baldur had taken on this bo -

It stared at her for a few seconds as if trying to consider whether she was joking or being serious, before simply crawling passed the treat and up onto her legs. The cold metal was evident through the pants that Aoi had on, and she found herself shivering slightly while trying to repress any sudden movement that would end up with her being absolutely shredded alive by the creature. The red coloured LED studied her for a few seconds, before it shook itself in an almost dog like fashion, leapt down from her legs, and bounced in front of her in sudden excitement. ’…huh?’ Aoi stared in utter -

Lessa replied to Morningstar's topic in Intermediate Floors
Jomei called out to Freyd, and Lessa used the momentary distraction to move up behind the Emerald Duelist. "Hey handsome," she greeted, giving him a few seconds warning before sliding her hands under his armpits and hauling him to his feet. Considering he had nearly a foot on her, the move was not graceful or especially effective. But she still stole a brief moment's satisfaction from the close contact. They had been fighting for what felt like an eternity, grabbing short rests where they could, and traveling where the need was greatest. As often as she could she fought by Jomei's side. But th -

Seconds passed as Aoi considered the thing, before she remembered why she had come out into the wild grasses of the floor to begin with. The bag had been looped around the belt she wore, and she slowly shifted herself in an attempt to bring it into reach without spooking the thing before her. Not that she was even sure she could spook it – it seemed frozen in place, watching her with a single, bright red LED that could have been an eye, a sensor, or something more deadly. The more she stared at the thing, the more she recognised it as robotic rather than animalistic in any way, though its form -

"Hm, guess we're just fighting to the sound of pattering rain then." the ginger chuckled, before quickly returning the violin to his hip. Holding the intricately crafted bow in front of him, a flick of the wrist to his side would force the weapon to elongate. "Alright, get ready!" Hopping down from his position, his boots would hit the mire and muck before he rushed at the almost fluid form of the mercury-like knight. He struggled to pick up speed, each step felt like the ground was trying to pull him beneath the surface, but he pushed on. The long blade of Vicious Mockery illuminated wi -
