  1. Auranika recognized Krysta from the time she sang at the party's stage. From what Vigilon saw in her words, she was hoping to compare her voice to Krysta's. Auranika asked that Krysta pay no mind to the remark, and- Ah, that's right, Vigilon and Auranika were rivals. The two then seemed to speak of Kanari for a short moment, from what Krysta could guess, as she had indeed revealed her real name as Amelia, which Vigilon had mentioned. "Opposing ideologies?" Krysta repeated. "Are either of you willing to give me some context about that?" She asked.

Before Krysta could get her answer, Auranika listened to Mitria's words, and decided she was interested. "Oh, hey, haven't seen you there! I'm Mitria of the Aincrad Research Commission, nice to meet you!" Mitria began. "We gather Lore and Intelligence on Aincrad, for our own purposes, and to serve as a collective group of informants for players who need the info we find. This little competition started with a need for these players to test themselves, so we kinda volunteered to be the moderators in exchange for being able to research the area without danger as they cleared it out. As I'd stated, they'll still be compensated despite the er, issue. There's more places to research where that came from, so feel free to sign up if you'd like! I just need the username of yourself and one ally, as well as your 'team name' for this Tag Team Challenge!" Mitria explained.

  2. The duo that had apparently been within the area before the players rushed in had approached Vigilon and Krysta. One Greeted Krysta in particular, while the other greeted both players. The one who greeted Krysta only, why, she looked familiar... "Indeed, we haven't met. However, I do recall having seen you...that grand party over in the first floor, your ally announced your arrival, did he not?" Krysta remarked. "I would prefer your username for the time being. Pleasure to meet you, Auranika, I am Krysta." She introduced.

She then looked to the other player. "And a pleasure to meet you too, Serafi." She added with a smile.

Mitria, meanwhile, was looking around this room of the cavern, seeing all kinds of markings. "Wow...what were these Goblins doing, I wonder?" She thought aloud, lost in her research for but a short moment. "Oh, that's right, I should probably speak about..."

Mitria climbed up to the ledge, and decided to try announcing something. "So, It looks like our calculations ended in some kind of failure. We'll still compensate you, don't worry! After all, with all the Goblins gone, my friends and I have a brief respite we can use to study this place! ...Say, there might be some other things you could do for your little competition...if you're still interested, that is." She said to the players, who were all in the room.

  3. Vigilon would turn the tide back in the players' favor, severely weakening the three Goblin Soldiers he and Krysta were in combat against, and returning Krysta's weapon to her. "This battle shall be over shortly."

She would use a simpler sword art, Rip Ravine, to finish off one of the Goblin Soldiers. Now only two of the four they were facing remained, and both were weakened greatly. The Goblin with the crude staff clearly wasn't in the mood for remaining in a losing battle, and with a scowl, he raised its staff, pounded it against the ground of the ledge he was on, and then he was gone.

The other players continued to clash against their enemies, and the Goblin Soldiers were starting to dwindle in number. The battle was practically already won, but the Goblin Soldiers who were still standing continued to fight the players, despite their imminent defeat that would soon arrive.

  4. The other teams arrived, and the "moderators" who were to keep an eye on what was supposed to be an organized raid found themselves amidst the chaos of battle. every player in the vicinity was now in combat, and whatever they had hoped to achieve before, was no longer of any concern. There were only Goblins and Players, struggling to be the only ones standing. One Goblin that was without a combatant, emerged from his little hole in the cavern, and saw what was only imminent failure. If anything, his allies should die with high morale, that their deaths would not be in vain. He took hold of his crudely made "staff", and climbed up to a ledge, where the whole battle was in his view.

Krysta was ready to make her next move, but what she did not expect was the presence of this one Goblin atop the ledge, which had only one thing to utter out aloud, the voice of the creature being loud enough for all in the battlefield to hear.

    "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Krysta stopped, and looked towards the creature, who repeated this call.

    "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The remaining Goblin Soldiers all raised their spears, repeating this apparent war cry.

    "Lin! Lin! Lin! Lin!"

With the Goblins' morale restored, the one Krysta was fighting was ready for her attack, and managed to disarm her. All this time of using this weapon, and yet here she was, still being disarmed often.

  5. As the two players entered, they found Team Rogue and another duo within a dispute in the middle of combat. Krysta turned her head towards where she and Vigilon had just come from, and called out, "A swarm of enemies are upon four players! We must come to their aid!"

She then drew her weapon, and joined Vigilon in facing the four Goblin Soldiers that he had managed to strike. She attacked the one with the highest remaining HP, using the Sword Art known as Over Radiation. The monster's HP fell into the red, it would not be long before the battle was over, now that more of the players were arriving to put a stop to these creatures. Vigilon seemed to know one member of the other duo, so perhaps Krysta would speak to them once the Goblin Soldiers were defeated. At least the players' priorities were straight, as of the moment.

  6. Krysta remained in position, everything was quiet. Her foe had not yet arrived, and it had been about half an hour...or, at least, it felt like half an hour to Krysta. How long would she be chasing Dazia down if the plan failed? How many more would fall to her blade? This needed to end, and quickly...and the only way Krysta knew, was to treat Dazia like the monster that seemed to dwell within those eyes...but she couldn't. Not while her cursor was green, it wasn't possible without a duel, and that would require consent. Unless Krysta was the challenged party, there was no legal method for vanquishing Dazia at this time, now that she thought about this in depth.

Now she was worried, that she'd be unable to avenge the fallen, that they would have all died in vain.

She had to do something, and she had to do it right...but she couldn't just do nothing. "Freyd..." She thought. "I sure hope this maddened strategy of yours prevails...I do not know how long I can stand this, knowing many lives could be at stake if we were to fail..."

Oku was a bit surprised to learn that Dazia was willing to let him go, so claimed her associates...but there was no further surprise when Dazia revealed she was planning to release him in exchange for herself being spared. He knew not of why this Valna woman dared help this killer of four, but as he learned from his conversation with the child, Yinangi, it would seem that the young player believed Dazia was not in the wrong with her deeds. Of course, those deeds had saved the child's life, despite ending another's life to do so...funny, wasn't that exactly what Krysta wanted? To end Dazia's life so that others may live? Perhaps the two weren't so different after all...but that did not stop him from glaring at Dazia, or looking towards her with extreme suspicion. After all, the kill that saved the child was only a second among four, how could he know whether or not Dazia had gotten a taste for killing since then?

  7. Time passed, Krysta slowly began to feel restless. Was Dazia on her way, or did she know an obvious trap when she saw one? This clever killer wouldn't dare arrive unless she had no other choice...speaking of which, Krysta did not necessarily know who her temporary duplicate was messaging just now. Setsuna, perhaps, but it would be rude to ask, even through messages. All there was left to do was wait, apparently. She didn't know what it was Freyd had planned, but it better work. "Leif, you and three others will not have died in vain..." Krysta thought. "My allies and I shall stop this killer before anyone else falls to her malice..."

With a full moon out during this night, it would be difficult for anyone to hide efficiently, especially if there was anyone against stealthed players who had the searching skill. If Dazia chose not to teleport, she will arrive one way or another...perhaps she was to be captured and brought here, if she did not come on her own will? Krysta knew little of this plan, so she hoped that whatever madness Freyd had within his mind, it would prevail in putting an end to this evil.

Oku almost scoffed when his captor decided to drop the conversation, being stubborn in her belief. "I'm not asking you to believe exactly what I believe, I'm asking you to question the situation. I could be wrong, but you could be wrong, also. How do we know for certain what was going on in that little head of hers?"

  8. Krysta watched in surprise as Freyd's form began to change, effectively shapeshifting into...a doppelganger of her? She stood dumbfounded at her own reflection until said mirror motioned for her to leave, proceeding to claim there was method in their madness. The voice was perfectly replicated, even down to the pitch, tone, and so forth. Only the Cardinal could make such a thing possible...but how? For now, the true Krysta would begrudgingly follow the other's suggestion. She knew that Dazia was no fool, so there had to be some other reason behind this course of action. Once she was in position, she pulled up her messenger to put Freyd's plan into action. He better know what he was doing...

    Quote

It's time we settled this. Meet me in the square, I'll be there, and there will be a mediator on reserve should there be a need for one. perhaps, since you crave it so badly, we might be able to end this conflict in a civil manner.

    -Krysta

With the message sent, all there was to do now was wait for whatever was necessary to come to pass. They could be waiting all night at this rate, but perhaps she could try and get through this without becoming too tired to act rationally. The stage was set, the sun was no longer in the sky, and the full moon was out, all there was to do now was wait.

Oku listened to the younger captor's response. "Tch, you really think she did that out of the goodness of her heart? She could have gotten the enemy to surrender and flee, but she killed your would-be assailant. She could have wanted to kill anyone or anything, but chose to kill your would-be assailant because it would have been better for her reputation and her standing with you, there could have even been other reasons she could have stepped in the way she did." He remarked. "Don't be naive, girl."

  9. Astreya seemed to be confused by what Krysta meant on cruelty. Krysta sighed, then began to explain. "I have...been in some quests that turned out to be morally questionable, involving the slaying of juvenile boars and dragon hatchlings, and I never knew they were my opponents until I found them...they were young, how could they possibly be evil enough to strike down, game or no? It's heartless slaughter is what it is! I cannot believe Kayaba would dare to put us through such horrible things!"

Her rant wasn't even over yet.

"And don't get me started on those murderers...I've been chasing down one in particular, a player named Dazia, who has killed four and counting, and she's constantly finding ways to escape...she's taken four innocent lives, and I will not stand for that slaughter! I will surely find her and vanquish her one day!"

Krysta took a deep breath, and she was calm again.

The three players would follow the mark on the map towards a mountainous region of the floor, and Vigilon would suggest that the players not split up the party, but split up their attention instead. "I agree. I'll be looking for an opening around...this general direction." She noted as she began looking around. So far, there was nothing to be found, but that might change soon.

  10. Vigilon seemed to have some questions, more than Astreya, as it turned out. Then again, Krysta had known several reasons as to why he would question this hunter...certain experiences that were too cruel for Krysta to willingly commit unless it was absolutely necessary...but everything had changed, had they not? "If this pulls us into more cruelty, I'm going to quit...though it doesn't seem likely as of the moment. We should probably push onward and see where this goes. Hopefully, it won't be like...those times." She remarked, having yet to realize that this very questline replaced that which she recalled.

Krysta would then look to Astreya after her most recent thoughts were spoken. I agree. We should keep an eye out for anything unusual...even if it doesn't involve dragons." Krysta added, recalling the blockade of boars the trio had just clashed with earlier. There were a handful of questions, but how many would this quest answer? Would there be more that awaited them, potentially beyond just this floor?

  11. Vigilon would slay the boar, and then he would ask if the apparent blockade of boars were done. Judging by their sudden squealing followed by a hasty retreat, they clearly were. Vigilon would turn and look over to Krysta and Astreya, asking if they found any strange pages during the battle. Astreya revealed that she didn't seem to have found anything, then Krysta pulled out the page she'd retrieved from her inventory. "As a matter of fact, I have..." She straightened up the paper, and read its contents aloud...

    Quote

"For future hunters, please note: Do not underestimate an amethyst dragon's agility, nor the strength of it's tail. Both are unnaturally great and quite dangerous to avoid. However if you are able to match it's speed, try and target it's wings or neck. Its hard scales cover it's underbelly as well as it's backside unlike other dragons. If you want to kill this dragon, that's your best bet."

There was no page number, nor was there a date on it. Was this simply part of some notes, or did this have anything to do with the scroll Vigilon found? "This belongs to...a Dragon Hunter, it seems." Krysta noted. "Do you think this belongs to whoever wrote the contents of the scroll?" She asked, wondering if anyone happened to have a hunch similar to her own.

  12. This wasn't even the first time Krysta was using her longsword, and yet, she was still having trouble handling the weight of her weapon. Perhaps it was because she was so used to wielding a rapier, that made all the difference. She stowed the page she had found into her inventory, and witnessed Vigilon slay the fourth boar. He too, found a page of sorts. Then four more boars began making their way to the players, and Astreya moved in to intercept with an Area of Effect Sword Art, striking down all but one. Krysta then raised her weapon to attack, and she readied her sword art. This boar caught her weapon with its tusks, and thus Krysta was left to have to pull her weapon out instead of defeating this creature.

One day, she wouldn't have to worry about adjusting to this new weapon. She would reach that day soon, she hoped.

  13. Astreya accepted the shield from Krysta, while Vigilon fed his familiar. Astreya's own familiar, apparently a Vulture of sorts, took flight and returned to its master with a sack of col. Krysta looked to Yolviinsil, seeing if there was something she needed. The small, ruby red feathered dragon didn't seem to be in need of anything at the moment, so the familiar would remain airborne for the time being. The players continued to move onward, but then Krysta noticed a few boars in the path, looking towards the players...upon closer inspection, there wasn't simply a few...there were...how many boars were in this herd, and why had they arranged themselves like this? They were like a living blockade of tusked swine...

One of the boars let out a loud squeal, and four of the boars began charging for the players... Krysta drew her weapon, a shining, regal longsword of silver, with a hilt surfaced in gold. "Enemies inbound!" Krysta called out. She prepared herself to face these feral creatures. She would manage to strike down three of the four boars that charged at the players, but Krysta still hadn't fully gotten used to the new weight of her blade, and she missed the last one. When the first boar shattered, there was a page that appeared where the boar was. Krysta picked it up, but she did nothing more with it for the time being, as she was still in combat.

  14. Vigilon would compliment Krysta back, and have his arm around her. Krysta smiled, taking the compliments very well. Astreya remarked that Krysta and Vigilon were cute together, and then she was handed the map by Vigilon, who would explain the quest scenario, now that the party was formed. He also revealed his statistical role to Astreya, who would follow suit, revealing herself as a Tank in training. "The first floor is known for relatively weaker dangers, so there shouldn't be too much for us to worry about. I may be a damage dealer myself, but I also specialize in restoration and support. If you need your defenses to be strengthened, or if your health begins dropping dangerously, I will be here to help." Krysta explained.

Astreya would then begin to get moving, so clearly it was time to set out. Krysta looked to her small ruby red feathered dragon, Yolviinsil, who had just poked her head out shyly from behind her. Krysta gave the familiar a reassuring smile, and then she would walk out the gate. Krysta accessed her inventory as she walked, and pulled out an item she no longer could use. "I have heard that most tank players make use of shields. I don't use mine anymore, so you could have it if you would like. Even if your damage is sub-optimal, damage from thorns, an enhancement on this shield, cannot be mitigated if it activates." Krysta said as she offered her shield to Astreya.

-Offering to give Lux Regalia(T2 Shield, 1 MIT|2 Thorns) to Astreya

  15. Truly wonderful were the times when form and function could both be optimal, and the two female players in this moment were clearly in agreement with this fact. Vigilon unintentionally caused the parts of the scroll to separate, but the parts didn't shatter, so they were still of some use and could still be looked at carefully. Astreya would ask Krysta if she and Vigilon had been adventuring together long. "Perhaps not as long as other players could have, but Vigilon and I have certainly been through very much together. He may have his stumbles every once in a while, but no one is perfect, and, in all honesty, I also see it as part of what gives him his charm, I'd say. He's sweet and kindhearted, and he has had the resolve to pull through in most of the scenarios we've been through. I couldn't ask for a better person to spend my time with, be it outside the safe zone, battling evils alongside each other, or within the borders of a settlement, simply enjoying each other's company." She admitted, despite the fair amount of detail that went into her words.

Vigilon finished studying the papers, and a quest prompt appeared in front of him. He accepted the quest, and began sending party invites, including Astreya in case she was interested. Astreya agreed to tag along, and Krysta accepted the party invite that she received from Vigilon.

  16. Vigilon let the two players know that he had been trying to understand what seemed to be a scroll of some sort. Both Krysta and Astreya noticed the writing on the other side of the scroll, but Krysta let Astreya be the one to mention it, so that she might potentially be included in whatever this might lead to. Krysta would notice that the girl was wearing a battledress, though it appeared to be a heavier set, unlike Krysta's Light Armor Battledress. Nevertheless, it was nice that she, too, was a player who seemed to like sets of gear where style and function could actually work alongside one another. "So, I take it you prefer battledresses too?" Krysta asked. "I may prefer the Light Armor form of it myself, but I still like the appeal of both style and function working hand in hand." Hopefully some conversation might help this player to not feel left out. There was definitely room in the party, after all...in fact, the party invites hadn't even been sent yet.

    @Vigilon @Astreya

  17. It had been a fair amount of time since Krysta had reawakened from what she could only believe was the darkest of days in fluid form, and after what she had gone through, it was time she got herself busy again. There was much to do, and only so much time to do it. She soon received a message from Vigilon, asking her to meet up with him in the safe zone's edge in the first floor. The meeting place was likely to be in the Town of Beginnings, Krysta was certain of it. She checked her inventory before continuing onward. She had the necessary gear for battle. She had her battledress, and she had her weapon...her new weapon. She was used to using weapons such as the rapier, but this weapon and its capabilities were a worthy investment. While heavier than the rapier, this longsword was still usable with Krysta's current strength, as she had noticed...but she would need to improve her strength at some point soon.

Once she was in the first floor, she made her way through the Town of Beginnings, over to the town's gate. She saw Vigilon there, and she also noticed there was another girl there. A new friend, perhaps? She would walk over to the two players, a soft smile on her lips as she approached them. "Hello," She greeted. She looked towards Vigilon, ready to address the reason she came. "I received the message, and I am ready for whatever the matter may be, Vigilon." She said, glad to see him again. She then looked to the other player. "I don't believe we have met. I am Krysta, it is a pleasure to meet you." She introduced with a light smile.

    Aurora Lux

    Spoiler

Aurora Lux | [#214529] | TIER 4 JEWELRY | EVA II, REC II
[desc.]: A sparkling Tiara crafted from fine silver. Its design, despite the tiara being made from silver, seems to allude to a rising star in the horizon, the arrival of dawn. Within the center of the tiara, there are two gemstones. The larger of the two, fitted near the top, is a pink diamond, its shape being the drop, while the smaller of the two, fitted below the above diamond, and above the bottom of the piece itself, is an aquamarine in a triangular shape. Along the left and right sides of the tiara, the main gemstones alternate between smaller, oval cut rubies and amethysts as the piece goes along, though even smaller white topazes follow the pattern around the main, differently colored gemstones. The result is an eye-catching piece, both grandiose and simplistic, fit for a princess.

    Shimmering Pauldrons:

    Spoiler

    Name: Shimmering Pauldrons
    Item Type: Light Armor
    Tier: 4
    Quality: Perfect
    Enhancements: Mitigation(2), Evasion
Description: A pair of simple leather pauldrons, white in color, accented with quicksilver. These pauldrons, although durable, are also soft and smooth to the touch. It also comes with a soft white cloak that they are attached to, and seem to be good for multiple environments warm, hot, wet or humid, and, surprisingly, even cold. The pauldrons may shimmer somewhat in the light, so it is believed, though it is more likely that it is the quicksilver accents that shimmer.

  23. Krysta had been looking around the Town of Beginnings once again. It may have been the same settlement where she started out, and once lived in, but the town does change as the players start shops or find homes, so it was nice to take a look around every once in a while.

It wasn't long before she found a shop she hadn't been to yet, and after some consideration, she entered the building. It would turn out to be for the better, as Krysta would find...weapons, in an artisan's shop? There had to be a reason... She would investigate the two items, and she would then see the pricing on the rapier of the two otherwise identical weapons. The only payment she could make was ten Tier one materials...she really needed to gather more.

Regardless, she brought the weapon up to the counter and saw a familiar face. "Oh, hello again, Chase. I've taken an interest in this Rapier here, and I do have the materials to purchase it..."

It may have been costly in terms of what materials Krysta had, but this purchase would be done nevertheless.

-Purchasing Zero Degree Icicle(rapier), paid 10 T1 Materials to @ChaseR

  24. Freyd believed that Krysta was overthinking it, but Krysta knew that it would take much wisdom and intelligence to outwit this clever killer. He then asked Krysta what her favorite drink was, giving his assumptions, which caused an expression of visible disgust to surface on Krysta's face. "N-no, definitely not those...I much prefer warm, sweetened tea myself." She responded.

Freyd would then suggest a potential idea, one that went entirely against the very reason the players came here! "Here, in the safe zone?? No, she'd just take the opportunity to flee, or not even come here! She's not supposed to be able to reach the portal, how do you think we can stop her if we make it far too easy for her to get away? We have to stop her, not give her a chance!" There was one thing that Krysta did not intend to give Dazia, and that was mercy.

Meanwhile, Oku watched as One of his captors began making plans to scout out the immediate surrounding area, while the younger of the two captors claimed that the killer had saved her life. "A killer, saving your life? Do you know how unlikely that is, that a killer would slay another's assailant for pure reasons? What was trying to kill you, may I ask?"

  25. Freyd would give his suggestion on the next course of action, which may have been directed to both players, judging by the words he said. "Reconnaissance may prove to be more difficult than expected." Krysta noted as she pulled up her messenger. "It would seem that Oku has stopped replying to my messages, and it was rather sudden, too. He was keeping me up to date on what information he had, but this sudden silence means he could have been silenced or compromised." She revealed as she looked at the conversation's current condition. Whereas normally each message would have a reply with at least a little intel, there were five questions from Krysta, none of them answered or replied to. She closed up her messenger. "I am uncertain of very much at the moment, but from what little Oku could tell me before he was suddenly silenced, based on what he'd overheard, Dazia was apparently 'trying to understand why so much conflict had been happening on this floor.' He also had two names of potential accomplices. Valna and Yinangi." She explained. Hopefully Oku's last few messages would serve as a fair lead.

Meanwhile, somewhere in one of the floor's settlements, Oku simply stared at what had popped onto his UI, the latest message from Krysta. His arms were chained to the wall, and he had no means of opening it up. "You two can't keep me locked up forever!" He said to his captors.
